Guardian of the Pacific: The Incredible Adventures of the Giant Turtle

The boy woke up as a giant turtle in the Pacific Rim. This is a story about a guy with a good moral compass. If you want to read how MC destroys cities and sinks ships, then this fanfic is not for you. There will be no magical transformation back into a human. This is my first fanfic. English is not my native language, so I used a translator. In the first chapters, I used GPT for some paragraphs of text, but the result is not satisfactory. Then everything is manual work. I do not own the rights to the universe and characters in this story.

Alaska

I watched as Marshall boarded his helicopter and returned to the base in Alaska. I have to wait a few more months before the next attack, and this was the only attack I could remember happening in Alaska. It was the attack of the biggest Kaiju category 3, and it was he who killed the brother of the main character of the story.

It's hard to believe that it took 7 years of my life to live just the first couple of minutes of the prologue in the movie. And even after the attack on Alaska, I'll have to wait who knows how many years before the main events begin. In my opinion, it's a loss that there wasn't a movie made about the early years of the Kaiju fight. A movie could be made that culminates in the development of the first Jaeger and his first victory. But maybe this story would be too tragic, so it was not filmed.

Everything was fine on my island, so scratching my head with my claws, I decided to swim to the Marshall Islands to absorb the radiation from there. It is not known what the enemies will be in the future, so any scrap of energy will come in handy. The aliens have already proven that they can improvise and come up with something new that I didn't see in the movie.

The island I was heading for was very far away. It took several days of sailing to reach it. I had to cross a heavy storm while I was sailing there. Dark clouds covered me suddenly, turning day into night.

Strong gusts of wind stirred the ocean, raising huge waves 10 meters high. The constant wind and splashing water made me squint. This storm would be a big problem for the ships, but all I could think about at that moment was thinking back to when I was little and swimming in the bathtub and making waves with my hands trying to sink a rubber ducky.

Having sailed to the right island, I went ashore on a small island. I could survey it completely from my height. On one side of the island was a 100-meter dome built to block the radiation in the middle. Some other buildings were built on the side of the dome, which looked new. There was also radiation in these buildings, so that must have been what people brought here for me.

"So I just have to sit here and absorb the radiation again?" This process was very boring. After the bugs atack I tried to stay awake so I just had to sit still or pretend to be asleep. I really missed a smartphone in those days.

While I waited, I began to count the days. According to Marshall, the next attack will be in a couple of months. I'll have to sail to Alaska early so I don't miss it. This island was quite remote and I could not only not have time, but also not feel the Kaiju from this place.

After two months, I just ran away from this lonely and boring place. Getting back into swimming was much more enjoyable than sitting still. There were not even people on the island. The only company I had were the birds that constantly circled above me and bombarded me with their acid attacks. I even thought that these were the same birds from biolabs that were talked about so much in my previous life. Legendary pigeons that were bred for war, which could destroy tanks with one shot.

I was happy to return to the ocean. My body was filled with energy and I was ready to tear the Kaiju to pieces. I swam near Alaska, waiting for my opponent, but he was not there. We had to wait another month.

"That's it! I officially declare that I have a new enemy - TIME!" I grumbled irritably.

I was sitting on the shore of Alaska counting the fishing boats sailing far on the horizon when I sensed the presence of the Kaiju. "Finally. I really need to come up with something so I don't sit idle while I wait."

This Kaiju must be large enough to compete in strength. It had four legs, like my first opponent, and its head was long and sharp like a wedge. He seems to have been called Knifehead.

After swimming to intercept, I wanted to catch him in the ocean. In the original story, the main characters' Jaeger fought the Kaiju quite far from the shore. He met him in the ocean to save a small fishing boat. This story may not repeat itself, but I didn't want to risk it. There are many ships in the ocean and it was not worth thinking that Kaiju would not be sunk by any ship on the way.

I had a strange sense of dejavu when I stopped underwater right on the way to Knifehead. Last time I tried to catch a Kaiju underwater I got nuked. I felt goosebumps running down my spine as I remembered those events. I still miss my shell.

He was close. This Kaiju swam towards me like a shark, moving his head from side to side. He was almost the same size as me. It wasn't quite enough to match me. When he spotted me, he sped toward me, flailing his arms and legs to pick up speed. His mouth, filled with teeth, glowed with a blue light, and there were some golden streaks all over his body.

GGGRRAAAA

He growled under the water. This Kaiju was strong and he wanted a fight. I wasn't going to let him into town, so I reciprocated his wish.

RRROOOOAAAAAARRRRRR

Air bubbles erupted from my mouth as I roared underwater. I tensed my muscles and was ready to fight.

The kaiju was approaching, pointing its pointed head at me. He wanted to stab me in the chest with that spike of his. But it was enough for me to put my left hand forward and grab his head to stop him. I redirected his momentum upwards by lifting his head up with one hand. As his lower jaw was exposed in front of me, I hit him with all my might with my right hand.

BOOOM!

A muffled sound of impact echoed under the water. The Kaiju flew to the side, making revolution around itself and crashed into the bottom of the ocean. He raised his head and shook it to regain consciousness. His jaw was broken and hanging open, his neon mouth was constantly open.

After regaining consciousness, he rushed at me again. He had four hands. Two hands were small and two were very large and strong. His claws were several times bigger than mine.

He was approaching, swinging his hand to strike. I was wondering what my strength was now, so I decided to miss one shot. My body was filled with energy and my skin became stronger after eating the crab-like Kaiju. My skin, although it has not lost its elasticity, but when I tense my muscles, it resembles a thin exoskeleton.

He tried very hard to hurt me, hitting me in the chest with all his strength. There was another sound of collision as his palm and claws hit me.

BOOM

I took a few steps back and looked down at my chest. It hurt a little from being hit with hand as big as he have, and there were a few scratches on the armor. It was a good result. All these years, I definitely did not waste my time (said by someone who just lazed in the ocean for months).

While I was proud of my strength, I was hit again, but this time the blow hit my head.

BOOM

I felt dizzy for a second, and the Kaiju swam towards me and kicked me in the stomach with its pointed head. The jolt sent me up, then down and hitting my back on the ocean floor. Sludge rose from the bottom, obscuring the view of the Kaiju, this sludge acted as a smoke screen.

Kaiju did not stop and continued to push me in the stomach with his head. He grabbed me by the hull with his hands and continued to push me, doing a scarred on the ocean floor.

GGGRAAAHH

Knifehead snarled as he displayed all his strength. He kept trying to punch a hole in my stomach but he couldn't. Although the abdomen was not as armored as the back, it was enough to withstand a blow from a sharp head. He would need to have some kind of plasma knife on the tip of his nose to pierce my armor.

The results of my training and all the time I spent absorbing radiation satisfied me, so I decided to end this fight. I grabbed his head with both hands as he pushed me in the stomach. He tried to fight me by digging his claws into my armor on the sides of my body, but no matter how hard he fought, he couldn't overpower me and I pulled his head away from my stomach.

The top of his head was fully exposed to me as I held his head. I decided to fry it a little. I still had some air in my lungs, and in the next attack I let it all out, mixing it with the energy from the radiation.

RRRAAAHHHHHHH

The water around us immediately boiled and many bubbles of steam began to rise to the surface of the ocean. Golden fire shot out of my mouth and headed straight for the top of the head of the Kaiju, who was trying in vain to break free from my grasp, clawing at me with all of his claws. When the fire hit him, he started screaming in pain. The fire was not concentrated, so it began to spread around the Kaiju's body and burn his skin. The bottom of the ocean lit up with a bright yellow light, as if the sun had risen on the bottom of the ocean.

I did not fire him for a long time, and when the attack stopped, the expanse of the ocean returned to its usual darkness. He was still alive. All his skin was dark and twisted from the burns. When I thought he was no longer capable of combat, I let him go and he sank to the bottom of the ocean motionless.
