Gaming In The Underworld

I pulled an Elvis… not in a cool ‘I have an amazing singing voice and I’m suave as fuck’ kind of way. No sir not me. I pulled an Elvis in the most embarrassing of ways. I somehow died while sitting on a toilet dropping the fattest deuce. Now I’ve got letters floating in front of me telling me I died. That’s not why I’m angry though, I’m not even mad at the embarrassing way I died I’m mad at the fact that ‘You Died’ was in Comic Sans. Fucking Comic Sans! *All recognisable characters belong to their respective owners. I only own the OCs* *Status: Complete

Foreword & Notes

This story was one of the very first stories I had ever written when I had just started out.

I had seen the popularity of the 'System/Gamer' stories rising to an insane crescendo and I wanted to hop on the train called 'bandwagon'.

Unfortunately I was inexperienced in writing such an ambitious novel and ended up blundering a lot of things.

Still, my pride kept me from abandoning this novel so I pushed forward and finished it despite all the plot holes, grammar issues, typos, and wooden characters.

It isn't the greatest story by far, maybe it's one of the worst stories I've ever written, but it's a story that I actually completed unlike a few others that I abandoned due to losing my muse in those cases.

As any author, I seek to preserve my works. Good and bad, it doesn't really matter. So I'm posting this story here too.

Chapters here usually consist of 1-2k words per chapter. I used to be really ambitious and set my word count per chapter to 10k per chapter. Probably one of the reasons why I burned out back then before getting my second wind.

Due to that, because my chapters usually have 10k plus words, they're really really long. This book has 13 chapters, when in reality if I used this site as a standard it should have around 100 plus chapters.

Wanting to stay faithful to how this story was originally formatted I'm not changing anything about it. It is as it was when it was first created with all its mistakes laid bare.

Again it's not a very good story, the System is messy and bloats every chapter, the plot progression is inconsistent, and the character interactions are 2 dimensional.

If you're still here and want to read one of the first stories I ever wrote than go ahead. Just keep in mind that it won't be pretty lol.
