Chapter 44

Gil and Tash trained as hard as they could do Saturday before, whilst Tash went to sleep Gil trained thought he night, focusing on improving any of his skills he could. Each day he had been checking the status of the egg and had seen it hadnt changed since he out it in. When the sun rose Tash came back the area to see Gil still training.

"Come on, lets get breakfast" Tash said.

"Fine" Gil was just about to rest at that moments. "Do you know if your parents are coming to watch"

"I think i herd my mum is" Tash replied

"Not your dad?" Gil asked back

"If my dad where here then it would be dangers. He's nearly froze someone when i was a kid for knocking me over" Tash explained "If he where to see me fighting and injured then he would most likely freeze someone"

"I know you said hes a God level Hunter" Gil paused "Where is he on the standing"

"There arent really any specific standings apart from the number one spot" Tash said "Out of 9 official attack Gods he would be around 4"

"What are there specific role and what are the God's powers " Gil asked holding the door open for Tash

"When a grade 0 monster comes through a gate they are told and when a Kingdom beast comes through they are summand. Each God has there own are they are in charge of called Districts, at the moment this is Ava's district" Tash started "You dont know"

"No, before i came here I never went to a library or looked into monster" Gil admitted

"Well there my dad with Ice and Ava with lighting" Tash started but paused" Do you want the names as well or just the powers"

"Powers, not like im ever going to need the names" Gil said

"So you dont ever plan to meet my dad" Tash joked, before Gil could say anything she started "Alright so theres, Ice, Lighting, Telekinetic, Flame, Blood manipulation, Psionic, Earth and Life Steal"

"Theres some in there i need to check" Gil said rubbing the back of his head

"What you having for breakfast" Tash asked

"Normal free one" Gil answered

Tash want up and ordered there food, returning a bit later.

"Whats your plan for the day" Gil asked starting his food

"Um, meet up with Hope and that lot" Tash said "You should join"

"Are you sure they wouldnt mind" Gil answered

"No, Will is joining"

"Fine, what are you doing"

The two spent the rest of breakfast talking and eventually met up with the others, they spent some time talking about the start of the game and other random items. Until it was time for them to head for dinner

"Gil your joining as well" Jade said to Gil, stating it not as a question but as a fact. As he started to move suddenly Ruby took his sword and gave it to Will.

"Sorry we want to win" Will said putting his sword in his subspace "And to do that you need to be rested"

"I can train using other means, fore example" Gil made an earth pole and turned the outer to metal

"Really, where trying to win. Stop training for a few hours" Hope said

"Yeah listen to your Queen" Tash said making them all laugh

"Fine" Gil through the pole down and it sank into the earth again

As they got to the food hall it was busier then normal, the only spot left was by the door.

"What time are your parents coming" Gil asked getting the free dinner

"Im not sure about the exact time, i think there is a 30-60 minute period where we can meet them before we start, and then in the afternoon if we want" Ruby said

"Are all your parent coming" Gil asked

"From what i know" Jade started "Due to them being the Great Family its a good opportunity to show of the next generation of power"

The group talked and ate there dinner before they started heading back to there rooms, Gil was told that he could get his sword back from Will tomorrow morning. Entering his room Gil checked the status of his egg.

Gil was happy that he could now check the actual status of the egg. After not thinking of anything to do Gil went to sleep early ready for the next day. Gil woke up and removed his mask choosing to wear it whilst competing, when he put the mask on a few bits of hair was draped over.

"Guess i need a hair cut" Lifting the hair and moving it to the side, hearing a knock on the door Gil opened it and saw Jade.

"You planning on hiding your face?" Jade asked

"Well I hear some talk that people would avoid me if they saw my face" Gil said removing the mask "Hopefully this way i can fight some people"

"Good thinking, now come on. Where having a pre game planning meeting" Jade said

"Okay, is Will there with my sword" Gil asked

"Yeah" Jade said walking down the hall "Someone got some food for the team and where all there"

"How come no one told me, im up before anyone" Gil said with a hint of pain in his voice

"We wanted to make sure you had enough sleep, most people think youll be the one to pull the team to victory"

They where now out of the castle and made there way to a large group of students. Gil noticed Will and left Jade to go get his sword, after getting it and eating some food with the team Hope stood up.

"Okay, so whose going to see there parents before the start" Hope asked, since she was the queen people listened to her. Nearly all of the students put there hands up leaving only 3 that weren't. "Okay you have 1 hour to build as much as you can"

After talking for a bit longer the other team came through the doors walking to them, as the two got closer together Leons voice could be heard.

"Alright, in a minute 3 gates will open behind me" Leon said walking through a rift "The gate on the left will lead to the red teams castle and the one on the right to the blue teams. The gate in the middle will lead to a viewing area where the parents and other people are watching" Leon walked back through the rift and at that moment Sarah walked out opening 3 gates

"You not coming to see anyone" Tash asked looking at Gil

"There isnt anyone waiting for me through there, so i might as well start building the defence" Gil said walking through the relevant gate.

As Tash walked through the gate she could see the area the game would be held on. There was a large stone oval with a castle built at each end, running own the middle was a stream, to the middle of one side there was a forest that the oval cut through. Looking a bit closer Tash could see 2 brighter areas near the entrance of each castle, and she could some people coming through each gate, on one side she could make out 2 people and on the other she could see 3.

Breaking away from that she faced the group of parents in the stands, there was a large circle in the middle of it, the circle had yellow and red carpets and the seats looked better then the rest. Making her way there she know it was the Great Family section, as she got closer she could see the families faces of other people.

"Dad?" Tash called.

"Nat!" The man called out. He was a large muscular man wearing a pair of black trousers and a white buttoned up shirt. His hair and beard was a blue that looked life ice, across his left eye was a small scare and he had an almost blue glow around him.

"What are you doing her, Mum said you werent coming" Tash said hugging him

"He wasnt" A women called that looked like an older version of Tash said "See Nix she know you werent coming"

"All the more surprise Beth" Nix said to his wife "Hi Will. What team are you one"

"We're on Tash's" Will answered before heading to his family

"Tash?" Beth said looking at Tash and raising an eye brow

"Yeah my friend came up with the name and its stuck" Tash answered

"Which friend, Will and everyone called you Natasha when you where younger. So who made the nick name" Nix asked

"Si" Tash answered before she could say Gil

He was about to say something when he hear the same again from behind him.

"So someone gave you the nick name Ari and there called Si?" A women called drawing in Nix's attention.

"Alex, did you just say 'Si'?" Nix called to a women with green hair and a dress full of flowers

"Yeah, Ruby said someone gave Jade the name Ari since he was called Si" Alex said "How come your asking"

"Tash knows him" Beth said "Does anyone else know 'Si'" She called out the immediate people

After a second some of the other families called that they did and even some of the students where calling that its 'Silver', soon the great families where talking about who Si was.

"Hes a friend, if you look there he the one building the walls" Jade said

"Interesting" Nix called "Leon is he strong"

"Yes" Leons voice rang out for all to hear

"Dad, what are you planning" Tash said turning a bit red

"I think i know and ill help if it doesnt work" Alex called stepping forward

Nix took a step to the front of the stand and suddenly the air temperature dropped and everyone could see there breath in the air. Nix's aura seemed to grow in his hand and a small ice spear formed in it.

"Stop" Tash said stepping in front of her dad.

The ice spear shot up and then straight to Gil, in the distance a loud rumble of thunder could be heard, all the talk on the stands stopped watching the ice spear approach. A large rift appeared in front of everyone allowing them to get a closer view of the person that it was aimed for. The boy was focused on raising a wall and didnt notice a ice spear flying at him.

"Guess i need to heal him or get Cielo to" Alex said stepping forward

"Si will be fine" Jade said turning a bit red "And Cielo is here"

"Yeah, she going to make sure theres no deaths" Alex said not looking away from the screen.

When the ice spear was about 20 meters away from Gil a magma shield opened and a flame spear shot out. The flame spear broke the ice spear and the magma shield stopped anything from hitting him, as the chunks of ice met the shield it caused a small bit of mist to arise.

Turning round due to the activation of the auto defence Gil looked at the stands and the large amount of white mana gathering there, not remembering he placed the mask on when he walked through the gate.

"Guess thats someone related to Tash" Gil thought, raising the largest fire wall he could in front of him, he made his way to the castle not turning round.

"I like him" Nix said turning round seeing Beth shaking her head and Tash and Jade turning red.
