Gil headed back to the inner of the castle and started to make the ground ever so in even making sure to ask Tash what happened. After working for 30 minutes doing odd bits and thinking he can do nothing else inside Gil went back outside.
Gil looked at the earth around the castle and hollowed out the most he could before feeling all the mana inside of him leave. Fitting down on the ground he crossed his legs and focused on drawing in the mana from around, he repeated this long into the day until others joined him.
"Sorry about my dad"
"Its okay, no one got hurt"
"Thats not the point, he said he'll come apologise when the games over"
"Its fine, im sure hes busy being who he is. Now all that can move earth make walls" Gil called out when the last person stepped through the gate pointing to the lose earth he made.
"What are we doing with the hollow ring round the castle, filling it with water" Someone called
"And make the work i done pointless" Gil answered
"So... what are we doing"
"Make a single bridge in to the main gate of the castle, easier to defend and we can spot of anyone tries to come in another way"
For the next several hours the team built walls, traps and anything else they could think of whilst several people where spying on the other team. When the sun started to set Gil looked around at the base. From the walls of the edge of the area there where large walls reaching 7 meters tall and 2 meters thick. These where made from just earth pushed and condensed into a basic structure, the closer to the castle the taller and better built the walls where. The tallest wall was still lower then the height of the second floor of the castle. Also between the layers of the wall where uneven ground, hole dug out traps set to tie up feet and many more.
"This should work" Gil thought to himself "The team seems more interested in attaching then defence so it doesn't matter how good the defence is if we make no progress"
Gil stayed out thought the night meditating and picturing fights against goblins, the limitations to shadow fighting where the number of shadows he could make and that he couldnt make any changes to the enemy, but it gave a much more realistic experience. Gil was picturing 5 goblins, each one around 1.7-2 meters tall and carrying swords. They where coming at him each aiming for a kill shot, without fighting Gil only focused on dodging slipping below the swords and blows using as little movement as possible.
"Have any monsters used ranged mana attacks" as Gil thought this the 5 goblins faded into nothingness being replaced by images of beasts he had faced.
