Flying Nimbus!!

Goku and Bulma were suddenly stopped by the bear with samurai armor. It laughed hysterically as he looked at Goku.

"I'll have to thank ya, Kid. You brought me my dinner, and I didn't even ask. Now pass that Sea Turtle to me, and no one gets hurt," he said.

He said this while pulling his sword out of its sheath. Bulma quickly turned her motorbike around and went and hid behind some rocks. Goku smiled when he saw the giant bear; he was looking for a fight, and here comes a nice challenger.

"Mr. Turtle, stay here. I'll be back. I won't let that overgrown bear with clothes eat you for dinner tonight," he said.

He put the Sea Turtle on the ground and walked towards the bear who just laughed.

"Come on, Kid. Be serious, don't you see what you're facing?" he asked with a mocking tone. Goku, however, didn't mind what he said. He walked up to him and stopped a few meters away.

"Alright, you asked for it." The bear swung his sword down towards Goku.

*Bang.*

It struck the ground since Goku had dodged the swing. He quickly ran under the sword; when he got under him, he jumped up and sent a powerful uppercut to his chin.

"Argh!" The bear's eyes turned blank as he fell over on his back, passed out just after taking a single punch from him.

Goku landed on the ground and went back to the Turtle, who was very shocked to see Goku win.

"Wow, kid, you're strong," the sea Turtle said.

Bulma came back and laughed awkwardly. She was honestly about to run away if things had gone south.

"Let's hurry and go to the sea," Goku said. He put the Turtle on his back and started to run again. Bulma followed soon after she calmed down.

After another couple of minutes, they arrived at the sea. Goku threw the Turtle into the sea. It came back and thanked him for his help. Goku said it wasn't much and was about to go back, but the Turtle said he should wait because it would bring him a gift.

He agreed to wait, and the Turtle went back into the water and disappeared in the distance. He looked at Bulma who was sitting on her bike.

"Hey, Bulma, why are you even out here? Don't you have parents as well?" he asked.

"No, I have parents, but it's summer vacation, so I have time off school. I'll be going back in the next 2 months, though."

"What's school?" he asked.

"School is a place parents take their kids to learn so they can find a boring job. I already know everything I need to know about school, so I don't really see any purpose for staying in school. But it's illegal for a child under 18 to not be in school, so I have no choice," she replied with a loud sigh.

"Hmm, that's sad, I guess. So does that mean I won't get to see you after we get the Dragon Balls?" he asked.

"What, you're already attached to me?" she asked with a teasing tone.

"No, I'm just asking since we're friends and stuff," he answered. Bulma watched as Goku went into the sea, tasted the water, then spat it out the next second.

'Friends, huh,' she thought.

After some time, the sea turtle came back, but he was carrying a weird-looking old man who had large sunglasses, a beach shirt, and blue shorts. He also had a staff in his right hand. They soon came to shore, and the old man did a peace sign and greeted everyone.

"Good afternoon. Seems you helped my turtle here," he said.

"Who are you, Grandpa?" Goku asked, placing his arms behind his head.

"I am the Turtle Hermit! Now, which one helped you?" the old man named Turtle Hermit asked his turtle.

"This boy right here," he replied, pointing at Goku.

"I see, I see. Let me commend you for your good work. I have a wonderful present to give thanks to you."

He then raised his staff to the sky and shouted, "Come to me, Immortal Phoenix!"

After a couple of seconds, nothing seemed to arrive. The sea turtle reminded the old man that the Phoenix had died of food poisoning.

"What kind of irony is that? Well, I was planning on making you immortal, but that's clearly out of commission. Instead, I'll give you this then. Come To me, Flying Nimbus!"

A yellow, fluffy cloud came flying towards them, stopping right in front of the old man.

"This is the Flying Nimbus. I'm giving it to you. It's basically a flying cloud that can take you anywhere you like," he said.

Goku smiled happily as he walked up to the cloud. "Really, so how do I get on this thing?" he said, walking around it.

"You just have to be pure of heart. Come on, give it a try."

With that, Goku jumped onto the cloud, landing right on top of it and not falling through.

"Hmm, you are pure of heart. I give this gift to you for helping my friend here," the Turtle Hermit said.

Goku laughed in excitement. The cloud began to rise into the sky. It flew around for a few rounds and came back down on Goku's command. He didn't need to speak; the Nimbus read his mind and did what he wanted it to do.

"You're quite the fast learner. Now..." He turned back to Bulma, who was still sitting on her bike. "Did this young lady help you as well?"

"No, she didn't."

"Okay, now let's go." As they were about to go, Goku came flying down and stopped in front of them.

"Hey, can I have that necklace? It's really cool," Goku said.

"Oh, this? Sure, I don't see any problem with giving you an extra gift. Here." He gave it to Goku. He then got on the Turtle as it slowly got back into the water.

"Hope we meet again, lad."

"Goodbye!!!" Goku shouted as he waved at them. He went to Bulma, who was sleeping on the bike's handle.

"Hey, Bulma, look what I got," he said, shaking her. She woke up and looked at Goku, who was floating atop a cloud and also had a Dragon Ball in hand.

"What! Where'd you get those things?" she asked. After speaking to Goku, Bulma fell asleep since she had to wake up early that day.

"Oh, a kind old man came and gave me these for helping his sea turtle. Now let's go back. We have to find the next Dragon Ball," he said.

"Okay, let's go!" She started her bike, and they both went back to the campsite.

"Meeting Goku was the best thing that had happened to me so far!" she thought.
