Thoughts and Actions of the Anomaly

Friday, 13th July, Year 1349 of Fifth Epoch

Sometime after midnight in the new Hendrix residence.

'She is asleep and now I am bored since I have nothing to do. Nothing much of relevance anyway. And I can't sleep for a few days because a certain being didn't take any baits yet.'

After finihing some "nightly exercises" with Eva, who is now fast asleep Max is now sitting on a chair in the bedroom considering how to sate his boredom. He can't just scheme all the time, it gets tedious fast.

'Hmm I should slow down a bit now that I have reached Sequence 1. I think I can relax for a while and wait for some fish to take the baits I have laid out.'

So while thinking seriously about how to sate his boredom here in this world, he came to a certain simple yet effective conclusion.

Make Fors write more interesting novels! Since that is the only entertainment he has here.

See, it was super easy and barely an inconvenience for him to think of a solution to the problem that logically all transmigrators going to another world should face.

Of course his solution will accumulate stress on a particular salted fish, but let's not think about it.

'What incentives should I give her? So that she can write more novels? Maybe I should take advice from a certain someone?'

But he immediately rejects the notion of that. Except his sister, he doesn't fully trust anybody in this world. He is a very paranoid person, he might want a harem but his caution will probably never go. Especially after knowing the level of scheming done in this world, that level has further fueled his paranoia.

Hence he would trust nobody with his true plans yet, if somebody wants to truly gain his trust they will have to earn it. But he doubts he will able to fully trust anyone other than his sister in this world.

He doubts that because to earn complete trust from someone, you have to face and overcome adversity together which he isn't planning to face in the first place. At least those are his thoughts on that matter.

It's a sad thing but that's the way the man named Maximilian Hendrix. A man who has a few screws loose in his head, but has enough determination to cower even the most mighty beings. A quality he doesn't know about, and a quality fixed by the Transcendent being who goes by the alias A.

Max also has thought about why A did what he did, he definitely has some more ulterior motives than what he gave at face value but he doesn't care much about that. The reason is because of his sister.

A reunited him with his sister again and for that he would do anything except sacrificing his and his sister's life. Probably his future family too if possible. He can slaughter countless innocents if it benefits him, similarly he can help evil men or women if it benefits him.

Though mostly he likes to do what he wants and if he has absolute power, he doesn't mind playing the role of a Hero or even a Demon King. After all doing such things is a luxury only afforded to the strong.

'Hmm should I tell her about some stories from my world to inspire her? That could work. It could even be treated as an exchange. The problem is Roselle, I wonder how many fictional works has he plagiarized and spread in this world.'

He thinks about it in a pensive manner like he was thinking about solving world hunger. But this man doesn't give a shit about things like that.

'Wait! I can just save Roselle. And when he resurrects, the shitty king of this country will die since the characteristics will return to Roselle. In return for saving him, I can just have him write entertaining works or even have him develop technology to an appropriate level for my entertainment purposes. Sounds like a good plan! I can work out the kinks later.'

With an epiphany his thoughts became clear, and the man smiled like he found an interesting toy.

'Anyway since I have nothing to do, let's call Flonecia for some "night lessons". Gotta keep up that facade after all.'

And hence the night passes with Max calling Flonecia for lessons in the next room.

Of course nothing suspicious happened during those lessons, they were completely professional.

So the morning comes and a new day begins for the people.

Max is not tired at all, even if he has not slept for a while. He just looks thoughtful after the lessons. Of course this is just another facade honed from his previous life that makes people think that he is thinking about something important, when in reality he is just feeling lazy and not doing anything.

'I am not tired or anything. It's just all this is getting tedious, I should enjoy it more. I suppose I get why those Gods in fiction are like what they are now. Of course there are many things I disagree on, but some things just can't be helped after reaching a certain level of existence.'

Eva already woke up early in the morning and is preparing breakfast, even though both of them have no need for it. But it's just a habit for them.

After having a delicious breakfast. Max teleports to Tingen in Daffodil Street to ask Melissa about Benson's choice of the Pathway.

He met Melissa and asked her about it on their doorstep.

Melissa told him that Benson wants to go with Reader Pathway because of something about him being regretful about not completing education. And since this pathway seems to be related to that, he chose it.

While Max seemed amused by the reason, he didn't condemn the choice. After all it would be the man's path to power.

After telling Melissa that he will be back for Klein for some important business in the evening. Max teleported to another place of interest for him today. And this one will probably be the most important for him in the long term.

Honestly I have a really bad headache at the moment of writing this. That's why I didn't include any dialogue in this chapter, hope you understand.

I also hope I expanded upon more of his thought processes and character. Though some people might feel it was unnecessary and I understand that kind of. It's just that the MC is a living being and he develops with his experience so his mentality has changed a lot from the beginning of the story. Of course some parts are still the same.

I can't believe only around 13 days have passed in the story so far. So I guess I will have to pick up the pace.
