Chapter 10: Well, Know

Before Wang Yi could finish his contemplation, another figure appeared at the door.

"Wang Yi."

"Lin Youyu."

As the two locked eyes, Wang Yi realized that Lin Youyu's current appearance was vastly different from before.

Her shiny black hair cascaded like a waterfall behind her slender and delicate figure. The thick black-rimmed glasses that used to sit neatly under her bangs were gone, revealing a standard melon seed face. Her eyes, as clear as the lake, reflected the figure of a young man, exuding a passionate flame.

Wang Yi had never found Lin Youyu so stunning before.

That breathtaking beauty was like a flower waiting to bloom, waiting for the right moment to reveal her charm.

As the two locked eyes, they didn't know what to say for a moment.

The air fell into a slightly awkward atmosphere.

After a while, Lin Youyu smoothed her long hair behind her ears, seemingly trying to conceal her slightly flushed cheeks, and spoke softly.

"Wang Yi, come in."

Entering the villa gate, a cobblestone path greeted them, lined with stone benches on both sides, each adorned with pots of various shapes of bonsai, pleasing to the eye.

Turning left down the path, there was a moon gate, leading to the courtyard on the first floor of the villa.

The courtyard had been arranged for the birthday celebration, exuding a festive atmosphere, though not overly grand.

Several people stood in the courtyard, mostly young men and women dressed brightly. Seeing Lin Youyu bringing a young man with her, some showed a hint of surprise on their faces, and some of the men even had a hint of hostility in their eyes.

Lin Youyu also noticed Wang Yi observing those people and leaned close to Wang Yi's ear, whispering softly, "They are relatives and friends my parents invited."

Wang Yi nodded understandingly. It was normal for Lin Youyu to invite some relatives and friends for her 18th birthday, but it seemed that some people were not pleased with his presence.

Lin Youyu's intimate gesture towards Wang Yi also made more people cast strange glances.

Given Lin Youyu's unique family background, many of the men present actually harbored some thoughts about her. However, before they could make a move, Wang Yi appeared unexpectedly. Moreover, it seemed that Lin Youyu's attitude towards him was quite different, which made it hard for them to accept.

However, although they didn't quite like Wang Yi, they didn't show it.

"Who's this, Youyu? Can't you introduce us?" A fair-skinned girl with a gold ponytail smiled and stepped forward.

"He's my classmate, Wang Yi," Lin Youyu said softly, looking at Wang Yi with gentle eyes.

"Oh, your classmate..." The fair-skinned girl's gaze fell on Wang Yi's overly handsome face and simple attire, and her smile became even brighter. "Wang Yi, right? Nice to meet you. I'm Shang Yuanyuan." The girl extended her fair hand and shook hands with Wang Yi.

After exchanging a few words with Wang Yi, Shang Yuanyuan left.

In the corner, Shang Yuanyuan whispered to a boy with glasses who bore some resemblance to her, "Bro, don't worry, that guy poses no threat to you."

She smirked slightly, "That Lin Youyu is so clueless. Do you want me to arrange a date with her for you another day, creating an opportunity for you guys?"

The boy with glasses glanced at Lin Youyu, who was chatting happily with Wang Yi, and a hint of gloom appeared in his eyes as he adjusted his glasses. "Don't mess around. My family works under Lin's father's company. If you upset Director Lin, my parents won't be able to protect you."

Shang Yuanyuan pretended to be angry, "Bro, I'm helping you, how can you say that to your sister?"

Shang Wenhai sighed as he looked at his coquettish and pure-looking sister, who had a fiery figure, "I don't know you yet. You've taken a liking to that guy, haven't you?"

"Hehe..." Seeing that she couldn't fool her clever brother, Shang Yuanyuan grinned, "I can't hide anything from you, big brother. I like this type. You know that." She stuck out her pink tongue and lightly licked her lips, which were shiny and inviting.
