A real romanceless romance that really resembles the typical low key sign in novels despite there being no signing in. Our protagonist gets assaulted by some generic demoness sect leader character. Since this is a Chinese novel he isn't mentally scarred or traumatised but instead just brushes it off while the sect leader apparently has some mixed feelings about this. This is weirdly messed up morally but fine, let's move on. Generic protagonist, generic cultivation system/world, generic characters and generic luck based cheat. While this novel does make me yawn unfortunately I've read more chapters of worse. This is essentially a spiritual successor to sign in novels but with a poorly thought out and currently non existent romance narrative to push the story. The part of this novel that resembles the low key sign in novels is mundane but I can kinda force myself to read it, it's not bad. The relationship with the sect master however is just tedious. I don't care for the morality of the characters have and the fact that the protagonist has no animosity or any kind of feeling in particular (besides fear) towards the sect master is just strange. Somewhat generic part sign in part detached romance with some translation errors (awkward and hard to understand wording). I do like the laid back, chill vibes of this novel though so although I've criticised this a lot, I don't hate it, I'm actually fairly biased towards it but I'm also a bit confounded. 2/5.

I really wonder if there's any interest in living a life like mc's, he only has the goal of living, but his life is pathetic, without flavor, without taste, without anything, all the time used by others, all the time exploited by others. moreover, the stronger he becomes, the weaker I feel he becomes, the author made sure not to speak of a level of culture of the strong people of the sect of sudden never know if the mc is strong or what closer to the strong... i have a feeling this is going to be a novel the mc will always be down in until the last chapters of the novel, then he unravels it, but to me that's definitely the worst thing, i have I've read a similar novel before, and honestly the ending was so bland that I wished I had even read it. FYI, I'm currently on chapter 410.

I don't know what to say, I am speechless. The MC here is a public road as anyone can walk all over him. And what does the MC does, he keeps his head down and then takes revenge in secret and then it repeats. I get why he does this but c'mon there is a limit to how much of coward one can be. I read the novel till 220 chapter and the character of the MC never changed. I read 220 chapters hoping he will be less of a slave to the FMC but no and I just cheaked the chapters near 900 and he is still the same.

something you should know before reading this novel:1. Why is there even a romance tag? 2. Mc is weak... Yes you heard it right weak, no jokes here3. Why he behaves so timid? Ewww I hate this kind of mc 4. Is that even a system? From my point of view system is a type of cheat that makes you op in a very short amount of time, he only reached the 9th level of the first realm in over 10 years. Can you even call it a cheat?5. oh I already read more than 600 chapters of this one. Low key mc who doesn't want to offend anyone but surely will take revenge silently . A good read for those people who like low key mc, hide his real level, single female lead (Romance without romance) etc.

at this point I don't have the courage to start any new novels in here, knowing that webnovel can and probably will just stop translating them without even giving the reason why, the least you could do is release the privilege chapters if you stopped translating it anyway

Slave mc, a mc without a dream, a mc as strong as he is, he remains a weakling, weaker than anyone else, weaker than an inscete, a mc without self-esteem, a mc who does not shows that when he wears a mask, a mc who does not assume. I would much, much, much prefer any brainless, stupid arrogant mc to this mc. a cowardly guy, a guy who likes to be trampled. A masochistic author, he never trusted his mc, he NEVER describes her as strong, every time he belittles him, he keeps saying how weak the mc is, despite the fact that he is one of the strongest people in the sect. he likes to trample on mc, he likes to write like intimidated inscetes are mc, and this mc lets it happen, he likes to describe how he is a slave to everyone. In short, there's nothing I like about this guy NOTHING (yes I liked the fact that he was discreet at the beginning, I still like him to be discreet, but discreet doesn't mean leaving it use and walk on it by everyone). Worst author, EVER I will read another one of these novels, EVER! (Why the 3 stars? because he still dares to delete negative reviews, Yes, they are without shame. AND yes I'm angry, I'm disgusted! I read chapter 1053 and so far he has only been belittling, the author keeps describing him as weak... even though he is one of the strongest people in the sect, even in the world, there is not much that is really a threat to it, apart from the immortals, but their number is so small that it is negligible...)

I can’t understand why people are praising this novel as something worth to read. I don’t know if it’s because the translation is just bad but most of the dialogues are too stupid. The behaviors of the characters are not something someone with a normal brain would do.

This novel is somewhat better than the Turquoise Pond/Kunlun Saint novel, but not by much. The MC suffers from the same problems as the author's previous novel, that being: 1. The MC is very reactionary and doesn't actively do anything. Our MC is in a demonic sect where 95% of the sect wants him dead, yet he just farms and doesn't take steps to reduce dangers in the future. Inevitably, our MC gets taken advantage of by someone then he gets revenge on them secretly. This is a recurring theme in this novel and happens every time new antagonists are introduced (every 30-50 chapters). It was interesting the first time, but having the same thing occur semi-regularly just shows that our MC isn't exactly that smart. 2. The MC has no personality. Our MC doesn't feel any emotions, and he doesn't seem to have any desires whatsoever. The author tries to explain this away by saying the demoness fed him a Yang Gu (makes him only feel emotions for her) but that's just a bs excuse. You could replace the MC with a robot and almost nothing would change in this novel. I consider his lack of emotions/personality to be the biggest weakness of this novel. 3. Everything our MC has is granted by the system, he doesn't have any unique skills or talents acquired by his own efforts/intelligence. Enough said. Even with all of these flaws, this novel is still one of the better novels in this site so I consider it to be a decent junk food novel. 3/5

the dynamic between him and the demoness / anyone else stronger then him is extremely repetetive and anoying. mc is always under someones control bending the knee, acting like a servant. author is refraining from mentioning the cultivation level of these people, presumably so that he can keep this going forever. the sequence of events feels forced. Everyone is looking for trouble with mc for no real reason (it is unclear to me why he is the center of attention at all), and to top it of he is horrible at using his cheat...

rather new approach for a cultivation novel with a good pace.it is different from cultivation novels, where MC gets to the level of sect master in the span of 1 or 2 years with the help of plot armor.
