A real romanceless romance that really resembles the typical low key sign in novels despite there being no signing in. Our protagonist gets assaulted by some generic demoness sect leader character. Since this is a Chinese novel he isn't mentally scarred or traumatised but instead just brushes it off while the sect leader apparently has some mixed feelings about this. This is weirdly messed up morally but fine, let's move on. Generic protagonist, generic cultivation system/world, generic characters and generic luck based cheat. While this novel does make me yawn unfortunately I've read more chapters of worse. This is essentially a spiritual successor to sign in novels but with a poorly thought out and currently non existent romance narrative to push the story. The part of this novel that resembles the low key sign in novels is mundane but I can kinda force myself to read it, it's not bad. The relationship with the sect master however is just tedious. I don't care for the morality of the characters have and the fact that the protagonist has no animosity or any kind of feeling in particular (besides fear) towards the sect master is just strange. Somewhat generic part sign in part detached romance with some translation errors (awkward and hard to understand wording). I do like the laid back, chill vibes of this novel though so although I've criticised this a lot, I don't hate it, I'm actually fairly biased towards it but I'm also a bit confounded. 2/5.

I really wonder if there's any interest in living a life like mc's, he only has the goal of living, but his life is pathetic, without flavor, without taste, without anything, all the time used by others, all the time exploited by others. moreover, the stronger he becomes, the weaker I feel he becomes, the author made sure not to speak of a level of culture of the strong people of the sect of sudden never know if the mc is strong or what closer to the strong... i have a feeling this is going to be a novel the mc will always be down in until the last chapters of the novel, then he unravels it, but to me that's definitely the worst thing, i have I've read a similar novel before, and honestly the ending was so bland that I wished I had even read it. FYI, I'm currently on chapter 410.

Up until chapter 1502 I really enjoyed this book, it had its lulls sure, but which book doesn’t. Chapter 1503 onward however the names and certain things like the human race translation are jarringly bad in comparison to what came before. It’s still mostly translated fine but it feels like the one translating it went from a person to a machine, and whoever uploading it doesn’t do a double check. It upsets me because I still enjoy the book, and am willing to pay money to continue reading, but it feels like I am paying for google translating with how some paragraphs read. There was one where three characters were mentioned in one sentence and all their names were botched.

I don't know what to say, I am speechless. The MC here is a public road as anyone can walk all over him. And what does the MC does, he keeps his head down and then takes revenge in secret and then it repeats. I get why he does this but c'mon there is a limit to how much of coward one can be. I read the novel till 220 chapter and the character of the MC never changed. I read 220 chapters hoping he will be less of a slave to the FMC but no and I just cheaked the chapters near 900 and he is still the same.

I would much, much, much prefer any brainless, stupid arrogant mc to this mc. a cowardly guy, a guy who likes to be trampled. A masochistic author, he never trusted his mc, he NEVER describes her as strong, every time he belittles him, he keeps saying how weak the mc is, despite the fact that he is one of the strongest people in the sect. he likes to trample on mc, he likes to write like intimidated inscetes are mc, and this mc lets it happen, he likes to describe how he is a slave to everyone. In short, there's nothing I like about this guy NOTHING (yes I liked the fact that he was discreet at the beginning, I still like him to be discreet, but discreet doesn't mean leaving it use and walk on it by everyone). Worst author, EVER I will read another one of these novels, EVER! (Why the 3 stars? because he still dares to delete negative reviews, Yes, they are without shame. AND yes I'm angry, I'm disgusted! I read chapter 1053 and so far he has only been belittling, the author keeps describing him as weak... even though he is one of the strongest people in the sect, even in the world, there is not much that is really a threat to it, apart from the immortals, but their number is so small that it is negligible...)
