The Contract
When I was young me and my friends would play by the river this time, I was with my best friend Elise and suddenly I was pulled into the water by a Drowned Soul she narrowly managed to pull me out and we began to smile and joke about it later. This was a world where these things happened quite often and most of the time, she was saving me which always made me happy realizing at least someone cared about me when my parents would beat me near to death for being weak.

I tried everything to get stronger but could not, so I simply enjoyed her Prescence and became a court accountant due to being good with mental things. "Hey Elise where are you going don't you think the best time to eat is in an hour want to go to the restaurant later?"

"Sure I'll see you later." She smiled and walked out covered in her shining armor going to deal with another monster problem. I began sorting the court documents figuring out who was stealing from the king pointing out the smallest of discrepancies. I noticed quite a few large discrepancies on the king's brother tax information from his subjects it seemed like half his population of the towns he ruled just disappeared.

I sent the information to the king I hope he understands what this means because I think his brother is planning a rebellion. After work I went to a restaurant with Elise. "Hey Elise how many monsters and what kind did were they?"

"It was a goblin Infestation and there were thousands of them thankfully it is pretty easy to clear out their nests even if they are the most dangerous species to the untrained."

After we finished eating and talking, I got out a ring and said, "Would you marry me Lady Elise of The Frost Templars?"

She smiled and picked me up happily in a bear hug yelling "Yes" Mutiple times. I smiled back and we scheduled our wedding a week later but unfortunately, I would only see her again two days later hanging off the wall dead. She was apparently hung for treason when I knew she would never betray the kingdom, so I requested an audience with the king strangely it was accepted.

"How could you kill one of your most loyal knights. She Elise would have sacrifice her life for this kingdom and you simply execute her for no reason you and I both know that treason claim Is BULLSHIT." Tears are streaming down my face ns says and the king simply looks at me with pity saying "Life does not matter in any way I'm not sorry for you lose but all must grow because she did commit treason."

I pulled out the dagger I had and tried to stab the king but the warriors by him some Frost Templar knights stopped me and I began to laugh as a contract from a demon appeared before me.

I signed in my blood with a laughed and my form began to contort only to return to normal with extra strength I began to fight barehanded with the knights when a spear went through my throat and I felt my body begin to die but I kept struggling forward. Another spear went through my stomach and another two went through each of my arms but I kept pushing them forward when the final spear penetrated my heart and my eyes began to close but I still laughed as I began to denote my blood causing an explosion of gore onto them all leaving only my heart in a pile of goo.

I than opened my eyes once again within a corpse pit, I guess I can't die until my contract is fulfilled. I picked up my body and I realized I could twist my limbs much more than anyone else and I saw that my body was now covered in scars which were rapidly healing and I now had the strength of one Grand Knight. I smiled as I walked into the forest so I could get used to my strength so I could come back and kill the king and I would sacrifice everything in this forest to the demon for more power so its easy to kill the king.
