inspired - myg

Yoongi downed his fifth cup of coffee and it was only 2 pm, a groan escaped his lips as he rubbed his face in annoyance. He's been sitting in his personal studio for hours and not a single melody was produced. He threw a glance at his notebook that was filled with notes that were crossed out multiple times.

Another hour passed by with him staring into nothingness.

"Whatever, I'll just go out for some fresh air" he mumbled.

"I'm going out for an hour or two, please take care of Jia and Jiwoo while I'm out" Yoongi called out to the babysitter taking care of his twins, who nodded in response.

He stepped out of his house and walked to the coffee shop that was a couple of blocks away. He observed his surroundings, waiting to magically be inspired by whatever was going around in the world.

Yoongi walked to his regular seat next to the window. He was glad that he had his sunglasses on, this meant that he could observe people without being reported to the police for being a creep. He thanked the waitress as she gave him his regular order of an iced Americano and a tiramisu.

That's why he liked this shop, he'd get his order without having to go to the counter.

Yoongi took out his notebook and started scribbling random things on them.

"Excuse me, is this seat empty?", a deep voice snapped him out of his thinking trance. He looked to his right, where a man was hitting on a lady. She had light brown hair that was tied up, loosely flowing over her back. Her black shirt was a contrast to her pale skin and her skin-tight jeans were a light shade of blue.

"This one will be too if you sit down" she answered while pointing at her seat.

Yoongi snorted as he turned his head away facing the window, his veins popping out of his neck as he tried to silence his laughter.

"This is for you" the man had a smug grin on his face as he placed a cup of iced latte on her table trying to charm the lady that wasn't sparing him a glance.

Yoongi had to admit that even from a man's perspective the guy standing in front of him was handsome. He had a height that Yoongi could only dream of having, his charming face was sitting on a pair of broad shoulders making Yoongi roll his shoulders back to make his shoulders seem broader than they were.

The man's outfit screamed rich.

"I couldn't help but notice a pretty lady sitting by herself, so I thought I'd grace her with my presence" he added as he sat down opposite to the lady ignoring her previous statement.

"I'm Seokjin by the way, but I didn't catch your name" he suggested with a confident smirk on his face.

Yoongi rolled his eyes at the Seokjin's words knowing that he could muster a better pick up line than that show-off.

"I don't remember throwing it," she remarked as she rested her head on her hands as she watched the flustered man with a blank face before returning to her papers.

Seokjin cleared his throat as he regained his composure.

"You must be doing your homework, let me help you. I graduated from Seoul University" he bragged, not giving up.

"No thanks, I'm pretty sure I can correct the homework I gave to my students by myself" she rejected him with a tight smile.

"I don't mean to brag but-"

"Then don't" the girl cut him off, as she continued correcting her papers.

"Oh, someone is playing hard to get" he smirked.

"Oh, someone is in denial" Yoongi mimicked while shaking his head in disapproval. This guy just didn't understand that she was not interested.

She clicked her tongue in annoyance and started packing her things.

"What are you doing?" Seokjin raised his dark eyebrows puzzled.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" she mocked.

"What are you getting all riled up for? It was obvious that you enjoyed my presence" Seokjin raised his voice in anger. It was his first-time experiencing rejection and he wasn't happy about it.

"Enjoying what exactly? Just because you waltzed to my table and got me a drink, that I didn't ask for, doesn't mean that I want to listen to your outdated pickup lines" she snapped angrily as she threw her bag over her shoulder.

Seokjin stood there, his face heating up in anger and irritation.

"You're the one that seduced me first! You kept smiling in my direction, clearly wanting a piece of this art" he claimed as he pointed at himself.

Seokjin's posture and face expression reminded Yoongi of the tantrum his daughter Jia threw this morning.

"Fuck off" an annoyed growl escaped her lips as her previous light eyes turned dark.

"Make me."

"If you won't then I will", she stood up and started walking, but Seokjin grabbed her arm, stopping her from leaving.

"You're all seeing this right? Then you'd excuse me for this," she clenched her jaw before she grabbed the glass Seokjin bought her and poured all its contents on Seokjin's expensive blouse.

The coffee shop was filled with gasps as the lady strutted out of the coffee shop leaving an angry and embarrassed Seokjin behind.

Yoongi took off his jacket and walked to Seokjin, even though Seokjin's pick up lines were the worst he's ever heard he still felt bad for him.

"You can take my jacket to cover up all that" he pointed at the brown stain on his shirt, " Better luck next time buddy" he patted Seokjin's shoulder and walked out.

Yoongi opened the door to his house with a smile on his face, to believe that he was amused by the misfortune of another man. He hummed a random tune as he walked up the stairs almost reaching the door of his studio, Yoongi stopped in his tracks when he heard giggling sounds coming from it.

"No, please" he begged as he jogged to his studio, he slammed the door open and saw his two children playing on his keyboard.

„What are you doing here?" his voice was above a whisper, but it was loud enough to send a shiver down the spine of his elder son Jiwoo who was sitting on his dad's swivel chair with his little sister on his lap. He turned slowly and his eyes widened as he met his dad's angry ones.

Furious was an understatement for what Yoongi was feeling right now. He hated it when someone entered his studio without asking.

Even when it was his little angels that he loved more than himself, but seeing his daughter's little fingers coated with chocolate as she randomly pressed on the keys of his electronics made him close his eyes trying to calm his anger.

"Daddy is home!" the seconds of silence was interrupted by the squeals of his four-year-old daughter as she jumped off her brother's lap and ran into his legs hugging them tightly. A small smile forced its way on Yoongi's face as he saw the delighted face of his daughter. It was like all his anger magically washed away.

He'll just clean it up later, he thought as he let his excited daughter drag him to the computer.

"Care to explain what's going on?" he patted his daughters head as he raised an eyebrow at his son. The seven-year-old boy looked at his hands in shame, not a single word leaving his small lips.

Yoongi kneeled in front of his son and poked his nose, "Aren't you going to show me what you did?"

Yoongi reached for the mouse and clicked on the latest file, then he sat down on his grey sofa.

The melody started playing in the silent studio room.

"Suga", the voice of his son whispering his trademark with his adorable lisp. Yoongi looked at Jiwoo surprised, his son just smiled shyly.

The sweet moment was disturbed by the sound of spitting coming out of the speakers, which made Yoongi snort loudly.

"That's me beatboxing daddy!", Jia bragged as she pointed at herself.

"Well done baby, I'm impressed" Yoongi answered as he scooped her into his arms and kissed her cheeks.

The remaining seconds of the melody had Yoongi unknowingly humming along to it while tapping his foot to the beat. The melody was less than twenty seconds, but it was long enough for Yoongi to come up with a theme and lyrics. The melody was beyond perfect and the random clicks his daughter added before gave the melody a funky feel which he loved.

Yoongi watched his children with a loving smile, who would've thought that his two goofballs would help him overcome his slump.

It took Yoongi less than a week to finish producing the song and its lyrics, he decided to keep the attempted beatboxing of his daughter and the whispering of his son in the song.

Two weeks later the song was released to the public and was loved by the mass.
