Bang! Bang! Bang!

Jonathan looked at Enrico and said, "Listen carefully, I need you to cover my back before you leave the mansion! You'll die if I don't give you this medicine, but if you take it, you might even live to be old."

Enrico looked at Jonathan and then at those green things he had in his hand. Honestly, he didn't feel good, so in the end, he nodded, "Yes, if that thing heals me, then I'll make sure to protect you."

After receiving confirmation, Jonathan gave a green herb to Enrico, and after that, he walked towards the door to open a path to a different exit, thus avoiding unnecessary confrontation.

"Jill, Rebecca, come here quickly!" Jonathan shouted as Enrico got up on his own, and in an instant, the condition of his body improved in many ways, healing wounds that seemed impossible to ease even after a long time.

After saying that, Jonathan took the grenade launcher, and when he saw Rebecca and Jill approaching, he took a step forward and started shooting at the huge spider moving behind them with numerous wounds on its body.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The explosions behind them resonated strongly, sending a wave of heat that was initially unbearable. Still, after hearing the thunderous screams of that spider, they knew that Jonathan's attacks were successful.

"Painful, damn Wesker, I'll return this shoulder shot to you more than ten times..." Jonathan gritted his teeth in pain while shooting at the huge spider.

Although a part of him was terrified of the huge and disgusting spider, the other was very concerned about the bullet wound in his shoulder. Although it's normal for all that blood that was coming out, still, his body chilled as he felt an urgency seeing so much blood pouring out of his body uncontrollably.

A long time ago, he had bleeding from his head due to a wound with a stone. There was so much blood that he thought he would die, and a feeling of fear surged in his heart at the sight of a hint of his blood.

Boom!

The grenades exploded firmly on the spider's head, making it recoil and charred from the explosion.

Continuously, the large explosions shook the entire tunnel they were in.

When Jonathan knew that this thing wouldn't die from a single impact, he fired two more, also eliminating the smaller spiders moving like swarms around.

Looking at the big explosions behind her, Jill looked at Jonathan and said, "You must be crazy, don't you know that you could cause a collapse and kill us all together?"

Jonathan didn't flinch, looked at the wound on his shoulder, and asked Rebecca, "Do you think you can take the bullet out of my shoulder?"

"I don't have the equipment to do it; the only thing I can do without you feeling pain is to put on a bandage..." Rebecca looked at the wound on Jonathan's shoulder and frowned.

"It doesn't matter, just take the bullet out of my shoulder," said Jonathan while cutting the sleeve of his shirt and handing a knife to Rebecca, who seemed hesitant to do this.

"We can do it later..." Jill murmured upon seeing the bloody wound on Jonathan's arm.

"No, do it now and quickly," said Jonathan as he put a cloth in his mouth and clenched it tightly with his teeth. After Rebecca sterilized the knife, she immediately began to dig into Jonathan's wound, looking for the bullet.

Normally, this process was done much more carefully and cautiously, but the area where the bullet wound was located was not as risky, so Rebecca dared to remove the bullet. After a few minutes, while Enrico and Jill watched the surroundings, Rebecca successfully pulled out the bullet, and shortly after, she began to apply a cream to the wound in addition to the tightly wrapped bandage.

"At least you endure the pain better than many I know..." Rebecca said while looking at Jonathan's pale and sweaty expression.

"Only my will to live is stronger than many others, I'm dying from the pain..." Jonathan murmured as he took two green herbs in an instant.

After eating those green herbs, a cold stream spread through his body, and the numerous wounds that were visible on his body began to itch while the smaller ones began to heal at a visible speed.

Finally, Jonathan gave Enrico ammunition and after reloading the grenade launcher, he put it on his shoulder and threw the backpack to the side.

The four reached the end of the path where it was no longer a tunnel, but there was an elevator.

As they ascended in the elevator, two people were trying to figure out how to get it running.

At that moment, footsteps suddenly came from behind them.

"Jill!"

"Barry!? Luckily, you're okay."

Jill was slightly surprised to see the familiar figure.

"I heard all those explosions, came immediately after knowing that you might be in danger... It's you, Enrico. I'm glad you're okay and alive, which is what matters."

Barry walked to the elevator and looked at the abyss below it, then asked in a doubtful tone, "Do you know what's down here?"

Jill shook her head, "There's only one way to find out, and that's to go down and take a look."

"Then we need to prepare."

Enrico looked at Barry with a furrowed brow. He glanced at Rebecca as if he wanted to say something, and after she understood, she nodded.

After this, Jonathan, who was in a corner holding a grenade, smiled when he looked at his group of four instead of two.

Then, the elevator descended slowly, and when it reached the ground, a strange sound faintly came from ahead.

Barry said with a deep voice, "What is that sound?"

"I don't know, but let's proceed with caution."

At that moment, Barry looked at Jonathan, who was at the side. His eyes were full of doubts, and he suddenly said, "Jill, this guy didn't do anything to you, did he?"

"No, he saved me a couple of times. Without him, you might not see me now."

"He's a good man; you don't have to distrust him," Rebecca said with a flat voice, not paying much attention to Barry.

"So that's how it is. Thank you very much." Saying that, Barry reached out to shake hands with Jonathan.

Jonathan smiled and said, "Believe me, I'm the most benefited by being accompanied by such experienced people. I feel safer than being surrounded by reinforced walls."

"Well, someone has to stay in the elevator to protect it, so you guys can go ahead. If you see anything wrong, you should come back as soon as possible."

"All right, we'll be back soon." The four moved forward, but Enrico stayed in the elevator. Then he said, "I'm the wounded one; I should stay too."

"Mom!"

Jonathan nodded towards Enrico and then said, "Those noises remind me of Lisa; we must be careful."

Lisa, of course, is the chained monster they had encountered in the cemetery.

After Jill heard this, she also became alert.

And as expected, shortly after they exited, Lisa's figure appeared in the cave ahead.

After locating Lisa, Jonathan signaled Rebecca to move forward and said, "We'll make a diversion noise, then we'll move towards that metal door."

Rebecca nodded, and Jonathan, who took a glass bottle, threw it to the other end, making Lisa move away. Taking advantage of this, everyone moved towards the metal door where they took temporary refuge.

But as if they weren't expecting it, the elevator in the distance started to rise, causing desperation in the group. What was Barry doing, and Enrico?

"Do you think it's possible that Barry did something to Enrico?" Jonathan asked, slightly angry. He thought Enrico could stop Barry, but that wasn't the case.

Rebecca shook her head and said, "I don't think so, but if Wesker has threatened Barry with his family, then it makes sense why he's doing this... But if he hurts Enrico, then I'll personally kill him."
