Aster, the Living Solar System

TLDR: *Based only loosely on the events of Dragon Ball and the other series that will be referenced *Each volume will only be 6-10 chapters *MC won't be a saiyan for Volume 2, but will regain their form in Volume 3 (Chapter 15-ish) Long version: This is a story about a saiyan child born two hundred years after the events of DBZ, at the beginning of the Dragon Ball Online story, said by Toriyama to be his "true" ending to Dragon Ball. This is my way of giving back to the late author, where I also add in several of my favorite characters from various anime and manga. That said, I am tweaking them to make their stories better fit the mechanics of Dragon Ball. Basic summary of plot: Shin is trying to honor the legacy of the late Goku and Vegeta, but he makes a mistake that ends with the main character finding themselves in the body of the fallen Prince Sadalla. Sadalla, who wants to be like his idols Goku and Vegeta, chooses to go on a journey to reach Super Saiyan.

The Sky Snake, Behemoth, Leviathan, and the Primal Forces

"A system quest? What is this?"

Sadalla knew that his situation was weird, but this was the first time that he truly began to think about it. He wasn't blind to the weirdness of it all, but was rather drunk on his amazement. Now that he had time to worry, he thought of all the normal questions. Things like how, what, why, and where the system came from. It only gave blank messages, so he didn't think it was conscious. It also didn't seem to want anything except for a successful star system. Sadalla realized one key thing though. He was a human teleported into the body of a saiyan, only to die at the hands of some kind of powerful frost demon and become a living star. Even if the system did want something from him, he wouldn't worry. Strength was his salvation.

"I need to fix this planet, and I have a dragon that draws power from light. Great start"

"The simplest method would be to create a bunch of legendary lifeforms to fix it for me, but what should I choose?"

Sadalla jumped straight into mythologies, only to realize that he basically knew nothing about them. Not only did he come from long after the era where mythologies were common knowledge, but he also was never really interested in them. So instead he just pictured the largest and most powerful creatures he could think of and associated them vaguely with related powers. He needed an ocean guardian, so he would choose a giant whale. Something for the land? How about a salamander? The atmosphere... Hmm... The only thing he could think of was the lame birds or the powerful dragons. A sky dragon? No. Not a dragon, but a snake! How about a sky serpent? A serpent that swims through the air instead of the water!

<Legendary lifeforms purchased: Unnamed Sea Elemental Leviathan, Land Behemoth, Sky Serpent>

[Hidden quest accomplished: <One if by land, Two sea, Three magic, I guess?>]

[Reward: Legendary lifeforms become Primal Forces, and Avatar Zygarde is significantly enhanced]

Oh... crap. Welp, at least he got buffed too.

The new Leviathan and Behemoth clearly felt their surge of power, and began fighting. The land and seas became even more turbulent, and the sky serpent rested calmly in the upper atmosphere, unaware of the chaos. The serpent felt the heat of the star, and created a blanket of air to block it. It also created a layer of fast-moving air that it could lie down in and rest. As it was resting though, Sadalla decided to get its attention by tracking it and then tricking the Behemoth and Leviathan into accidentally attacking it. A plume of lava and steam hit the poor snake right in the face, and it was rightfully infuriated. Sadalla granted the snake a little extra power from his avatar, and it was able to quickly and decisively quell the Behemoth and Leviathan. The Behemoth retreated into a volcano to slumber, while the Leviathan slumbered in the far depths of the ocean.
