Loki's Conscious

Slowly, Olivia starts to see a series of painful visions. These visions are not pleasant ones.

She is overwhelmed by it all but suppresses that feeling as she continues to search for him, determined to find her love.

These visions of pain and suffering... They're filled with sorrow, and the cold hatred is ever-present.

These visions are filled with death and cruelty. It's as if Loki's life has been nothing but pain and suffering.

There's no love here, only the pure evil and cold malice that is present throughout it all.

There's no warmth, only hate.

There's no kindness here…

It's empty…

Nothing…

Just the cruel, black of the void.

And then, Olivia hears whispers through the void.

"Have you found enough, mortal?"

Olivia pushes that whisper aside as she continues looking for Loki.

"Loki!...Loki!..." She shouts.

Nothing is heard for a moment until she hears sobs in the distance.

She runs in that direction to see Loki laying down in a fetal position crying.

She reaches down and quickly pulls Loki close, rocking him back and forth.

"I'm here...I'm here... It's gonna be okay." She says motherly as she kisses the top of his head.

Loki starts sobbing with full on tears as he clings to Olivia. She feels his heart breaking in his chest as he clings to her like a child.

He's scared and he's hurt; she can feel the pain in him as it rushes through his body and soul.

It's pain and suffering, and it goes throughout his entire self.

"It hurts…" He cries.

"It's so painful…and it's so...so cold..."

The words are broken, and he cries out again as he clutches at Olivia just a little stronger, tears running down his face.

Olivia continues rocking him as she holds him tighter, feeling his hurt and pain.

"I know love...I feel your hurt and pain. I saw how much you went through when you were younger, and I am so sorry you had to experience it all." Olivia says genuinely.

She holds him tightly using her immense love and warmth to soothe him.

He clings to her even more tightly, still crying, but his sobbing is getting softer. His tears begin to dry on his face as he calms down.

He buries his face in her chest, his body shaking as the stress of everything finally crashes into him and his love for Olivia is the only thing that lets him calm down.

Her love is all that lets him feel safe, and he holds her with a grip that doesn't want to let go. Her warmth is the only thing that's warm in a world that is empty and cold.

She holds him as she leans in his ear softly whispering…

"It's alright there's no need to cry anymore...All of that is in the past now. Now in this moment and going forward in the future is you and I against the whole world. All we need is each other..." She whispers as she gently places a thumb under his chin before lifting his head up and kissing him.

Loki clings to Olivia as she takes charge. Her love calms him, and her kiss soothes his soul.

He kisses her back, holding her tightly. He nods and takes in a breath before he speaks.

"You're right. All that matters is you and me. I love you. I will always protect you. We don't need to worry about anything else." He says, his voice a little bit steadier, and his grip on her is much less tense.

"I may be the Trickster God...and it's true my powers are immense, but the greatest power I have is our love. With us together, nothing can stop us." He says and gives her a kiss.

He smiles mischievously.

"What is it you wish me to do, my queen?" He asks, his voice almost playful, but Olivia can feel his determination behind it.

She chuckles softly before speaking.

"I need you to fight and take back control of your body... I know that is going to be difficult... but I believe in you. Hold on to our love and you will persevere." She says kissing him one more time.

Loki sighs and lets go of Olivia. It's painful, but he understands what needs to be done.

"I understand, my love. I swear to you, there is nothing I will not do to defend our love and our lives. I will not fail. You can believe in me." He says, his eyes glowing with determination.

She can feel his will to protect her behind his words, and he's so resolute.

He kisses her one last time, then he lets his grip on her go as he steps away from her.

"It's time to do what must be done."

Olivia stands up as she nods.

"It's time.." She says before stepping away from Loki the power from the Book of the Damned still coursing through her.

He smiles, her faith in him gives him a strength he didn't know he needed.

"Don't worry. I'll be fine." He says, but a part of him isn't sure.

Olivia can't see it, but she can feel how much he just wants to hold her again.

"Tell me, is there anything you need me to bring you? Any relics, weapons, or armor from Asgard you want before I begin my journey?"

Olivia shakes her head.

"No... Just come back to me…" She says as tears form in her eyes.

Loki nods.

"I will, my love. Please know, you're all that matters. I will find a way to come back to you. You will be in my thoughts the entire time." He says, his voice shaky with emotion.

He looks away for a moment trying to gather himself.

"I will return to you. Whatever happens…" He says, and then he smiles at her, his eyes glowing brighter and full of determination.

"I love you, my queen." He says one last time before looking at her one last time.

"I... I love you Loki..." She says as tears fall down her cheek.

He nods, the determination growing behind his eyes. He smiles, and the love in his eyes is genuine.

"I will return." He says and disappears in a flurry of light.

He is gone.

And with him, he takes his love.

This will be no easy road ahead of him to reclaim his body...but he's determined to return...

He has to...

Because he loves her, and she loves him.

He has to come back to her...

He has to make it through this...however dangerous it may be.

Olivia lets go of the imposter Loki as she quickly casts a spell that puts him in a cage that is integrated with hieroglyphs that burn to the touch from any demon.

The cage lifts into the air as the gods look in confusion and Olivia walks out of the council with the cage floating behind her.

She goes to the maximum-security prison that is underneath the castle and places the cage behind a cell that is guarded by giants and Asgard's best soldiers.

When the guards of the prison see the cage, they look in shock at Olivia. They'd never seen something like this before.

It's like nothing on this planet, which makes it very clear that this cage isn't from this world. They'd only heard legends of its power.

They have no doubt that the cage is magic. They slowly move aside, their spears pointed at the cage in a defensive position. None of them dare speak to Olivia right now.

The cage is set inside of the cell as the guards step in front of it.

Olivia stands in front of the cell for a moment longer, looking over Loki's body lying on the cage floor.

Her heart begins to ache as she thinks of the journey Loki must be going through. She lays a hand on the cell wall enveloped around the cage.

"Please…Come back…" She whispers softly.

She then turns and leaves the prison as the guards now protect their incapacitated king.

Olivia leaves with worry in her heart. Yet, she has determination and believes that Loki will persevere and return.
