Chapter 2 Camp

"I would never be interested in a pervert like you," Yuna said, walking away.

"She's too uptight, you guys," Jaquel said, shaking his head.

"Well, not everyone can be as cool and laid back as you, Jaquel," Zuko replied.

"Damn straight, because then I'd have a lot more competition," Jaquel said with a smirk.

"Oh shut up," Shika said, rolling his eyes.

"Anyways, before we go to the park we should go home and bring our skateboards" Zuko suggests.

"Yeah sounds good, and we should bring our bikes too" Jaquel replies.

"Cool. Let's meet up at the park in an hour then," Zuko said, agreeing to the plan.

The four friends parted ways and headed home to get their skateboards and bikes. When they met up at the park, they were greeted by a familiar face.

"Yo what's up, it's me your boy, Jaxx, aka the king of the park," the boy says.

"Yeah...a Lego park in your room hahaha," Jaquel said, laughing at him.

"Whatever. Let's see what you got," Jaxx replied, ignoring the jab.

"Alright, I'mma bout to show y'all what the fuck is up," Jaquel said, rolling his shoulders.

They all had fun, but soon they all went home and had dinner. It was a day of laughter and excitement for the friends. They couldn't wait for the camping trip to come.

***DAY OF THE CAMP***

"Alright class, today is the day we set off for our camping trip," the teacher said as the class filed into the bus. "We'll be stopping by a convenience store along the way to pick up supplies, so make sure to bring your money."

"How much money do you guys have?" Mira asks has he looked through his wallet.

"I have no idea dude, I still don't understand the money currency in Japan. I only know dollars," Jaquel said as he scratched his head.

"Yeah, I'm the same way," Zuko agreed.

"I've been living in Japan since I was a child, and I still have no clue how their money system works," Shika said with a shrug.

"Well, that's not very surprising," Jaquel said with a smirk.

"Hurry up you two," Mira called out to Zuko and Jaquel, who were lagging behind the group.

"Sorry, dude, we're coming," Zuko replied, picking up his pace.

After everyone had loaded onto the bus, the teacher started the engine and drove off. They spent the next few hours traveling, chatting, and listening to music. Finally, they arrived at their destination.

"Alright, everyone, we're here. Please get off the bus in an orderly fashion and gather your belongings," the teacher announced as the students shuffled off the bus.

They made their way to the camping grounds, where they set up their tents. Once the tents were set up, the teacher began to assign roles for the students.

"Okay, listen up, everyone. We're going to split up into groups and do a scavenger hunt. The first team to collect all the items on their list will win a prize," the teacher said.

"What's the prize?" one of the students asked.

"The prize is a free day tomorrow," the teacher replied.

"That doesn't sound so bad," Mira said with a shrug.

"Hell no! I want to have fun not do a scavenger hunt!" Jaquel shouted, causing everyone to stare at him.

"Fine, Mr. Complaints. If you're so opposed to doing the scavenger hunt, how about you and your team go do a special task," the teacher said, smirking.

"That sounds like a good idea. Come on, let's go," Shika said, grabbing Jaquel by the arm.

"Okay, but what's the task?" Jaquel asked, curious.

"You and your team will have to go into the woods and find a hidden cabin," the teacher said.

"What?!" Jaquel whined.

"Oh, and there's a catch. You have to bring back a piece of paper that is hidden inside the cabin," the teacher continued.

"Fine, whatever," Jaquel replied, sighing.

"Guys I don't like this, this is some Evil Dead shit man!" Shika whispered to the four of them.

"I'm telling you man this is a bad idea," Shika continues to whisper.

"Chill man, nothing bad is going to happen, just have fun," Jaquel said, reassuring him.

"You guys ready?" Zuko asks, looking at the group.

"Yeah, I'm ready," Mira said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Okay, let's go," Jaquel said as he started to lead the way.

The group made their way into the forest, their eyes darting around as they scanned the area for any signs of the cabin.

"Man, this is fucking creepy," Shika whispered, shivering.

"Quit being such a wuss," Jaquel retorted. "We're just looking for a cabin, not a ghost or anything."

"Yeah, but it feels like something is watching us," Zuko said, scanning the tree line nervously.

"I think it's just your imagination, man," Mira said, patting Zuko's shoulder reassuringly.

As they walked deeper into the forest, the trees grew thicker and the light began to fade. The group had to use flashlights to navigate the way.

"This is like Blair Witch Project or something," Shika muttered, looking around nervously.

"Quit it with the horror movie references, man," Jaquel said. "We're just on a scavenger hunt, remember?"

But despite Jaquel's attempts to brush off their fear, the group couldn't shake the feeling of unease. The forest was eerily silent, save for the sound of their footsteps crunching on leaves and twigs.

After what seemed like hours of walking, they finally gave up their search for the cabin and decided to turn back.

"I told you this was a waste of time," Zuko grumbled as they began retracing their steps.

"We had to try," Mira replied. "It was part of the scavenger hunt."

"But now we're lost," Shika said, looking at the trees around them.

"Don't worry, I have a compass," Jaquel said, pulling out the small device from his pocket.

As they followed Jaquel's lead, they realized they were heading in circles. The forest seemed to be playing tricks on them, leading them astray.

"We're definitely lost," Zuko said, panic creeping into his voice.

"We need to stay calm and think logically," Mira said, trying to calm everyone down.

But the group's nerves were fraying, and they began bickering amongst themselves.

"This is all your fault, Jaquel!" Shika accused.

"How is it my fault? You were the one who suggested we take a shortcut through the woods!" Jaquel shot back.

"Quit fighting, both of you!" Mira yelled, trying to take control of the situation.
