"Ladies and Gentlemen!"

On the duel arena, a petite twintail girl shout to greet and entertains the guests, or the soon-to-be The Duel Research Society's member.

"Welcome to the recruitment party of The Duel Research Society!"

More than 30 students came to the duel field.

To welcome them, The Duel Research Society has prepared a lot of drinks and snacks.

Among the thirty students, one student with his dual haired colored were busy munching and eating the available snacks.

"Uaaa! Delish! Here Sy, try this" say Jaden as he gives Syrus a corn dog.

Syrus take the corn dog from Jaden, and try a bite, "Mmm, delicious"

"Man, this is more delish than the breakfast we had"

"Yuf" nod Sy, munching the corn dog with him.

Just when they were busy eating, a sudden warning directed at them by the twintail girl.

"You two there! Before you start eating, can you two have a little time to listen to me?!", say the twintail girl with microphone in her hand.

Jaden gulped his food, "Okay, We hear you clearly".

"Good then! If you just come here just for the food, I suggest for you two to leave. Now, where was I before?"

The twintail girl continue her talks about Duel Research Society.

Another dual colored haired boy approach JDen and Syrus,

"Yof fu shul lisen tu hur (You two should listen to her)"

"Puft! Hahaha" both Jaden and Syrus laughs looking at Yuji.

Just like them, Yuji also busy eating the food rather than listening to the twintail's explanation.

Moreover, the looks of his bulging cheeks resembling a hamster that put way too much food into his mouth is really ridiculous.

"Waf (What)?" Ask him with mouth full of food.

"Your chee- cheeks! Hahaha, what- what do you want to say? Hahaha" laughs Jaden, pointing his finger at him.

Yuji then gulped all the food, his bulging cheeks like hamster is finally gone.

"I say you two should listen to her"

"Ahhh, yeah I know" answer Jaden.

"Beside, did you two notice?"

""?""

Jaden and Syrus finally noticed that many students are talking about them, and the topic wasn't a good thing.

"Why a Slifer here?"

"Isn't this supposed to be an elite club?"

"Look at those losers. Just eat"

Etc.

Among the present student, the only one from Slifer Red dorm were the three of them.

Majority of the students present were from Obelisk Blue with handful of Ra Yellow.

Furthermore, the majority of them didn't look or had any high opinion of Slifer Red.

Syrus who had a low self-esteem, looked down fearfully.

Yuji then pat Sy's shoulder, "Don't sweat it, those who like to talk about others especially in looow voice are a loser who likes to bark" say Yuji, as he sneers toward the group of people.

Hearing his words, makes them angry,

"Who do you think you are?"

"Tch, damn Slifer loser"

Say them in loooow voice, and only between them.

Looking at them, Yuji smiles, "See? What I told you"

"Unlike you, Yuji. I'm not that strong. I can't say such big words like you do" sigh Syrus.

"You're right. In the world of duelist, only the strong can freely speak, so... become strong Sho.

Don't think about losing or whatever, enjoys, and had faith in yourself. If you need a sparring or training partner I'm available" say Yuji, patting his shoulder.

But, what he says didn't make Sy's spirit pumped up, or any braver.

When he said those words, the three of them look at him surprised and with confusion.

"Misawa! Since when you're here?" Asked Syrus.

"I was here with you since class over!" Reply him shocked.

The four of them then laughs, joking about Misawa's lack of presence.

THUNG!

"Huh?"

Suddenly, the light turned off, creating a black-out that surprised everyone.

CLARK!

The light turn on, but only focusing on the twintail girl. Just like a celebrity in the light spot, the audience's gaze focusing on her.

The twintail girl continue with her greetings, "Now, before we go to the main event, let me introduce him!"

PAM!

Another light turned on, focusing on the tall blue haired boy among the audience.

The boy folded his arms, and close his eyes. Seemingly didn't care about the attention he received.

Many girls, whoever it was a first year, second, and even third year, all of them can't help but to be stunned by his looks.

Tall, fit and muscular body, a handsome face that looks cold and Stoic, favored by the female students.

His blue hair is sectioned in three layers, his blue eyes positioned directly beneath the bangs of the layer closest to his face.

Not only that, he's also radiating a solemn confidence aura that only possessed by king and conqueror alike.

"Ladies and Gentlemen... The current strongest and Number 1 student of Duel Academy, which also our Duel Research Society Member (Not true)!

This is him... Kaiser!! Aplause!!" Say her, as she began to applause, followed by the other students.

Even though his expression was immovable like a block of steel, he secretly curses and regret helping the twintail girl.

"Elder Brother?!" Syrus surprised seeing his brother Zane Truesdale. He didn't think that his cool and aloof brother is one of the member of Duel Research Society.

Yuji's ears twitched when hears Sy's words, "Your brother?", ask him, and Syrus nod reply him.

He looks upon the blue hair guy Zane over there, and Syrus over here.

[I can't- I can't see the resemblance, not even a bit!] Think Yuji.

His eyes gaze to Kaiser, and then shift to Syrus again, "Are you really a sibling?", ask Yuji a bit insensitive.

Syrus nod, "Yeah. We're true sibling, connected by blood"

"Is that your brother, Sy? He looks very strong" ask Jaden, while he's eating another snack.

"Yeah, it's my brother Zane Truesdale"

Seeing his brother makes him happy, but at the same time also made him worried, fear, shy, and a bit stressful.

He truly wants to greet him, but abstain to. Because if everyone knows that the Number 1 or the strongest student had a brother who is a loser from Slifer Student.

A third year student of Obelisk Blue, there are a good deal of news about him in magazine and articles alike.

He had won many championships, whether it's on Academy or outside... I wonder what kind of deck he uses]

Think Misawa, glaring at Zane who starts walking on to the stage (arena).

The twintail girl continue, "Now Now Now! Kaiser would give you all his special speech"

Zane sigh inwardly, he was tired because of Kei's shenanigans. Moreover, she didn't tell him he would do a public speech in front of the others.

He then took another microphone from her hand, and begin his speech.

The content of his speech were simple.

Welcome to the Duel Academy,

Speech about Respecting your opponent,

Speech about do not content with your current skill,

That is much of his speech.

The audience applause, filling the room with cheers.

The twintail hair girl then continue, "Thank you, Kaiser for his speech", applaused her.

The twintail's gaze shift to the students present, showing her childish yet pretty smile.

"Now, let's go to the main event, shall we?!"

The audience were curious about the next event, and can't wait to guess what will happen next.

The twintail girl cough a bit then continue, "You all know that the main goal of The Duel Academy is to produce a student capable enough to become a Pro level duelist"

The audience nod at her word. Some of them were confused, and began to guess whether there was a connection between the Academy's goals and the main event that was about to start.

"To adhere to The Academy's goal, We Duel Research Society would only accept a handful of you to become a member, in other words... we would only accept the best among all of you!"

Those, who began to realize what she wanted, began to raise their voices. Some of them started to protest saying that this is unfair, this requirement is not in the leaflet, etc.

The twintai then begin grinning like a madman, "Unfair? Wake up to reality! There is no such thing as fairness! Whether is it on the world of duelist, or the real world of society! Only those who had advantages like wealth and skill can gain fairness!

Beside... all of you also know that The Academy itself is unfair, right?

Slifer, Obelisk, Ra? It doesn't matter! What The Academy want- WHAT WE WANT, is a member who is strong and skilled" tell her, as she clenched her hand in front of the audience.

"Just like what Kaiser say, all of you who just content of being a mediocre had no place in here!

Specially the Slifer Red who's on the edge of expulsion, The mediocre Ra, even you brats who just content being in Obelisk Blue.

So! To divide between the mediocre and the strong, for this main event and recruitment, The Duel Research Society would run a battle royal!

The rule is simple, go duel between each other until EIGHT peoples remain.

Those who are lost, then please... GET OUT quickly from here!

Only the last EIGHT students are eligible to become one of us! Proofed that you're all better than the rest!"

After her speech, the light in the room become normal again.

Some of them grits their teeth, some still spouting nonsense of unfairness, some even wants to quickly get out from the room.

The fire is lit, and to add fuel to the fire the twintail girl then add,

"Ah! By the way, we Duel Research Society were requested by The Academy to run a mock exam for a future event, so... the battle royal you are going to do would directly go to your grades"

Suddenly, many peoples in Blue suit resembling Obelisk Blue uniform started to appear.

Even the notorious Professor Vellian Crowler also appears in person for this recruitment event.

[Nyohoho, this is the perfect chance to expel these two slackers na-no-ne!]

Many students were confused, and even panicked seeing the teacher arrives.

No matter if it for the promotion, or the fun itself, both of them feel excited.

Except the boy with light blue hair.

"It's over..." say Syrus, as his eyes begun to turn empty.
