"I draw"
Drawing his card, Titan's eyes narrow with anticipation as he surveys the field, plotting his next move. With a calculated gesture, he summons forth the formidable "Infernalqueen Archfiend" (900/1500) in Attack Position. The creature materializes with a sinister presence, its dark power radiating from every shadowy contour. As it takes its place on the field, a surge of energy envelops it, bolstering its strength.
"And now, let the chaos begin," Titan declares, his voice dripping with malevolence as he activates the Field Spell card, "Pandemonium." Dark energies surge forth, shrouding the battlefield in an aura of sinister power. With "Pandemonium" in play, the maintenance cost of "Archfiend" monsters is nullified during the Standby Phase.
"I set three cards facedown"
He murmured : "Trap Hole, Mirror Force, Bottomless Traphole. With this three cards, you can do nothing in your turn"
A wicked grin spreads across Titan's face as he revels in the unfolding chaos.
"I end my turn"
Jozuna drew a card from his deck " my turn. Draw"
"I activate my monster effect [Infernalqueen Archfiend] in your standby phase. As long as this card remains on the field, target 1 Archfiend monsters and increase it's ATK by 1000 points."
With "Infernalqueen Archfiend" at his command, Titan's forces are bolstered, its ATK soaring to 1900 thanks to its own effect.
As Titan's taunts filled the air, Jozuna remained steadfast, his gaze unwavering as he prepared to unleash the full power of his Archfiend Deck.
"This is your final turn, Titan," Jozuna retorted, his voice dripping with confidence. "Let me show you the true terror of the Archfiend Deck."
A flicker of surprise crossed Titan's face at Jozuna's bold declaration. "Wait, what? You use the same Archfiend Deck as me, Jozuna?" he exclaimed, his disbelief evident.
Jozuna smirked in response. "Yeah, that's right. I've been honing my skills with this deck for years," he admitted, his tone filled with quiet determination.
Titan's shock was palpable as he struggled to comprehend the revelation. "I can't believe it. I thought I was the only one who mastered the power of the Archfiends. How did you even get your hands on them?" he demanded, his voice tinged with frustration.
But Jozuna remained tight-lipped, his secrets his own to keep. "I will not tell you," he replied cryptically, his eyes flashing with defiance.
With a swift motion, Jozuna activated his spell card, "Heavy Storm," summoning a raging tornado that swept across the battlefield, obliterating all spell and trap cards in its path.
"Oh no, my trap card," Titan exclaimed in dismay as his defenses crumbled before the onslaught.
Jozuna's laughter echoed through the air as he reveled in his victory. "[Trap Hole], [Bottomless Trap Hole], and [Mirror Force]... That's very bad. You can't use them against me," he taunted, relishing in Titan's growing desperation.
As the tide of battle turned in his favor, Jozuna's confidence soared, knowing that victory was within his grasp. And with each strategic move, he edged closer to proving himself as the true master of the Archfiend Deck.
Jozuna placed a continuous spell card to his spell / trap zone "I activate my continuous spell [Gold Sarchopagus of light]"
A Golden Sarcophagus appeared in his field. With a determined gleam in his eyes, Jozuna approaches the golden sarcophagus, his every movement imbued with purpose and resolve. As he reaches out to touch its gleaming surface, a surge of energy courses through him, filling him with renewed strength and determination.
"I activate my continuous spell effect [Gold Sarchopagus of light]"
"During my Main Phase: I can add 1 card from my Deck to your hand that mentions "Gold Sarcophagus of Light", except "Gold Sarcophagus of Light"
"I will add [Archfiend's Arrival]"
"From the depths of darkness and the realm of the infernal, I summon forth... [Archfiend's Arrival]!!"
As the words echo through the air, a surge of dark energy erupts from the ground, swirling and coalescing into a vortex of shadows. From within emerges Summoned Skull, its ominous silhouette silhouetted against the swirling darkness. With blazing crimson eyes and crackling with dark energy, the fearsome creature stands tall, exuding an aura of malevolence that sends shivers down the spine of Titan.
With a thunderous roar, [Archfiend's Arrival] announces its presence.
Titan's frustration reached a boiling point as he struggled to comprehend Jozuna's seemingly unfair advantage.
"How did you summon that monster without tributing?" he demanded, his voice tinged with indignation.
Jozuna's response was swift and unapologetic. "If I control 'Gold Sarcophagus of Light,' I can Normal Summon this card without Tributing," he explained calmly, his eyes gleaming with confidence.
Titan's expression darkened at the revelation, his mind racing to devise a counter-strategy in the face of Jozuna's relentless onslaught.
"Where did you get that card?" Titan demanded, his voice laced with frustration and suspicion.
But Jozuna remained stoic in the face of Titan's question. "I will not tell you," he replied coolly, his resolve unshakable.
With a flick of his wrist, Jozuna activated another effect of his card, unleashing its full potential upon the battlefield. "If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: I can target 1 monster you control; take control of it until the End Phase. Come and serve me as a master, [Infernalqueen Archfiend] " he declared, his eyes gleaming with determination.
Titan's protests rang out, his accusations of cheating falling on deaf ears as Jozuna seized control of the situation with calculated precision.
"No way, that's cheating!" Titan exclaimed, his voice echoing with frustration and disbelief.
But amidst the chaos, Jaden couldn't help but marvel at Jozuna's strategic prowess. "That card is awesome," he remarked, admiration evident in his voice.
Chumley, too, was impressed by Jozuna's display of rare cards. "How many rare cards does he have?" he wondered aloud, his eyes widening in awe.
Syrus offered a theory, his voice tinged with intrigue. "Maybe he's Maximillion Pegasus's bastard son, just like every Obelisk Blue student that he defeated today," he mused, a hint of amusement in his tone.
Jozuna's declaration sent shockwaves through the battlefield as he revealed another layer of his strategy.
"I'm not done yet," he declared, his voice ringing out with determination. "When [Archfiend's Arrival] is on the field, other monsters I control gain 500 ATK during my turn only." With a commanding gesture, he directed his attention to his newly acquired minion, [Infernalqueen Archfiend]. "Boosting my new slave [Infernalqueen Archfiend]'s ATK to 2400."
As the dark energy of [Archfiend's Arrival] enveloped the battlefield, Jozuna's monsters surged with newfound power, their forms pulsating with malevolent energy.
"Now, battle," Jozuna commanded, his voice ringing with authority. "I attack you directly with my Archfiend's Arrival."
With a roar, [Archfiend's Arrival] surged forward, its dark aura crackling with raw power as it bore down on Titan, leaving him with no escape from the impending onslaught.
Then, with a deafening crash, [Archfiend's Arrival] collides with Titan, unleashing a devastating onslaught of darkness and destruction.
The Eye of Wdjat suddenly appeared on the ground. Titan find himself surrounded in darkness, with small shadow creatures threatening to eat away at Titan. Some parts of his body started to disappeared when his life points decreased.
As the final blow landed, Titan's life points plummeted from 4000 to 1500, and a wave of pain engulfed him. Confusion and agony etched across his face, he cried out, "What has happened now?"
Jozuna, cool and resolute, explained, "In Shadow Games, the sensation of attacks from monsters is real." The revelation sent a shiver through the onlookers, with Syrus expressing his fear and Titan questioning the sudden transformation of the game.
"Taste your own medicine," Jozuna declared, his eyes ablaze with determination. "I will attack you with your [Infernalqueen Archfiend]." Titan's life points dwindled from 1500 to 0, and as the shadows closed in, a bizarre creature consumed Titan, leaving only his mask behind.
Jaden, Syrus, and Alexis stood in shock as the reality of the Shadow Games dawned upon them.
"The Shadow Games are real," Jaden whispered in awe.
"I'm so scared," Syrus admitted, his voice trembling.
Concerned, Alexis asked Jozuna, "Are you okay?"
"As long as you don't lose in Shadow Games, there is nothing to worry about," Jozuna reassured them. "All of us must be stronger than now, not only in dueling but in our physical bodies too, because the monster attacks inflict real damage. Moreover, evil duelists can force you into Shadow Games, and you can't reject them. There's a lot of hidden forces that can compel you."
"Crazy!" Syrus exclaimed.
Jozuna continued, "Do you know? The King of Games, Yugi Muto, faced many Shadow Games."
Alexis, her eyes wide with concern, asked, "So my brother lost because he lost in Shadow Games? Then where is he now?"
Jozuna explained, "His soul is trapped in another dimension called the Shadow Realm. Unless we defeat the original user who defeated your brother or that shadow duelist releases him from that dimension."
"How do you know this information?" Alexis questioned.
"I have fought shadow duelists countless times," Jozuna confessed, revealing the extensive breadth of his experience with the dark side of dueling.
"Crazy!" Syrus reiterated.
Jaden, undeterred by the revelation, declared, "Then let's get stronger together." The group, now bound by the shared experience of the Shadow Games, embarked on a journey to confront the hidden forces that threatened them.
