Chapter 49

(I checked as best I could for grammatical errors... I didn't find any, but there are probably some. If you can point them out if there are, I'll be glad to correct them. Thanks for your help ^^)

(POV Protagonist. Time: Desperate moments against "Y'Shaarj". Place: Test center for mega explosions - It's a joke just in case... nobody knows how to understand jokes anymore)

I tried to help everyone who listened to me and, above all, I tried to help her... Helya. I don't like to see the future on the dark side, there are too many of them and some a bit disturbing. I don't have as much mastery over the light, so I only see a few visions, though most are linked to the legion. Strangely, in none of all the possible timelines, I exist... which worries me a lot.

Anyway, what I wanted to avoid at all costs was one of the futures where Helya dies in this battle. It was really weird to see her get corrupted and then thrown against Odyn. She was killed at Odyn's hands, at a time when she was also corrupted by not being able to resist the darkness while being attacked.

To avoid that future, I tried to show Helya how to resist the power of the void. At least, the way that worked for me.

Although I really didn't know how the Helya of WOW canon could really have withstood the darkness without becoming corrupted and dying. Clearly her magic had been able to endure, but for how long?....

I have theories on how to resist the corruption of the void. One that I think most likely, is that your will cannot waver, which would represent a large percentage defense against it. Of course, you have to take into account the power of the enemy who wishes to corrupt you. If an "Old God" focuses all his power on someone and that person is not powerful, even if he has the strongest will in existence, he is likely to be corrupted. This is simply how power and magic works. Without power, the chances are simply too low... unless you receive a blessing of light and therefore manage to defend yourself from their corruption. This then puts the "compatibility" of the elements on the board.

But, even though I talked so much and tried to be as "inspiring" as possible, only Helya managed to hold her own and attack. This really showed how much potential she had, even without being a "Guardian".

After fighting a bit together, she fell back. I feared for her, but as soon as I wanted to turn around, I felt something entering the atmosphere of the planet... Y'Shaarj must have felt the same, because we both stopped fighting and looked up. We both suddenly saw a gigantic hand, dwarfing Y'Shaarj himself, descend. Although it looked slow, actually its descent was incredibly swift, so much so that fire appeared around it, like a meteorite.

I was surprised for a moment and with all my power and concentration I began to change the environment. I raised mountains, lowered the level of the earth and created a flow of air in the opposite direction of Y'Shaarj that would push all the forged as far away as possible... well, at least the ones I could reach. And I began to increase my size. I knew what was coming.

With all the speed I could use, I launched myself first against Helya, who was now glowing slightly white and starting to look around. By the time she realized the situation, I already had her in my arms, so I quickly set off in search of the guardians, who were together, struggling to free themselves from the darkness.

As soon as I had them all together, I was already as big as "Y'Shaarj" and still growing.

Then I said to Helya.

"Quick, create the strongest shield you can and cover as many as you can. I will protect them" (MC)

I saw the look on Helya's face, and how her understanding appeared, all in slow motion. My concentration was reaching absurd levels. I was doing so many things at once, it was only possible because I was using many bodies at once, all in battle for many years. It was possible thanks to my memory and my mental powers....

As soon as I had managed to get everyone together, the biggest explosion I have ever had the pleasure to experience happened....

*KBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

(POV Unknown)

A huge hand coming from a "Titan" known as "Aman'Thul" held "Y'Shaarj" with ease. Then, with a tug, the "Old God" was uprooted from the world and in the process, "Y'Shaarj's" body shattered, causing a great explosion of chaotic energies.

Huge amounts of dark and arcane magic surged forth. Destroying mountains and razing the earth for miles. The radius of the explosion covered a part of the center of the mega continent and lashed everything in its path.

...

(POV Helya. Time: After the explosion. Place: Near the center of the explosion)

I had done my best to erect large magical barriers, but everything was easily shattered by the explosion.

The huge mountains that "The Little Dragon" had hastily erected were decimated and many of our brothers and sisters died without even being able to defend themselves.

I, along with the "Guardians", the guides who would lead us to victory in this war, found ourselves protected. The now gigantic body of the not so small dragon covered us.

-He protected us with his own body.....

Then the voice of the little dragon, rang out.

"Are you all right?" (MC)

Moving away from us in the hugging position we were in, I could observe its current appearance.

...

I wanted to answer his question, but the darkness radiating monstrosity in front of us had momentarily stunned us. But, even so, I was the first of us all to speak.

"*Sigh* Yes, I think we're all fine, little dragon. Thank you for protecting us" (Helya).

I could feel the chaotic dark and arcane energies that were all around the environment, slowly starting to diminish.

"I'm glad" (MC)

(Shape, Here)

Said the little dragon with a smile on his many mouths.

As she observed his new appearance, soon the "Guardians" began to speak.

"So you're one of them?" (Freya)

Freya asked.

The dark, monstrous creature in front of us said in a voice very different from the one we knew of his luminous self.

"You might say so... though not entirely."

Then he sighed and before anyone else could say anything, she spoke.

"I wish to speak in person with your 'Creators', would that be possible?" (MC)

I heard in my mind the answer to his question.

"Yes you can. Although I am very curious, how will you do that, little one... or well, should I call you Great Dark Dragon?" (Helya)

Chuckling, he reply.

"Call me whatever you prefer, right now you're so small, you make me tender. *laughter*. On the other hand, I have my ways of making it" (MC).

While the amount of dark energy left in the atmosphere was gone, the arcane energy was still flowing.

"Well, I think it's time for you to do your thing "Guardians". Many of your people have fallen."(MC)

As he spoke, he grew smaller and smaller and his luminous appearance returned to him, but before he could say anything to him, the earth vibrated again. This time the reason for the tremor was due to something far away from us.

"What is it this time?" (Helya)

With a smile, the newly luminous, little dragon pointed in a direction and said.

"Look over there" (MC).

The "Guardians" who were momentarily in thought, observed where he pointed, and like me, were surprised.

A huge figure was flying, soaring in the distance. It was truly enormous, so we could appreciate its shape and color despite how far away we were. And before I could ask him, a huge mountain rose.

"Help your brothers. I will help revive as many as I can and then answer your questions" (MC).

I watched as the "little dragon" climbed the mountain. I then turned to help my now injured brothers as much as I could.

-There is so much I wish to ask you, but there will be time for that.

...

(POV Protagonist. Time: Encounter with the Titans. Location: Outer Space - Outside Azeroth)

This is my first time using this big body. It's a little strange, but it's almost like driving a truck... I guess. I've never really driven one. Although the difference between a small car and a pickup style truck would be somewhat accurate... I had to be careful with the force I was exerting to get this huge body off the planet, because I think it could have affected the orbit if I did it carelessly.

When I finally found myself off the planet, and saw them, I could really understand how huge the "Titans" are ... and their scale is truly Titanic.

-Now I even felt a little sorry for Y'Shaarj... he was just a little toy in comparison....

I approached them as fast as I could. Once in space I no longer had to contain the force of this body.

-Although I'm sure it wouldn't really matter, because they can easily take me out, regardless of my size... I think. Maybe if I was the size of a galaxy... Although I think that way, anyone would be powerful in comparison.

As I was thinking quietly, I arrived in front of them.

...

The silence continued for a while. I was observing them all and detailing them, while they were doing the same. Since I didn't know how to start the conversation, I simply said the first thing that came to my mind.

"Hi, how are you, how's the weather treating you today, *laughter*" (MC).

-I don't know why I find that stupidity funny, but they are as big as a planet, I'm sure they have their own gravity, weather and all that.

While I was thinking nonsense, someone spoke.

"Who are you?" (Titan ¿?)

We were speaking telepathically, so no one moved their lips, so I was a bit puzzled as to who to respond to. Though from the style of voice, I'd say it belonged to Aman'Thul.

"I'm not sure who I'm talking to, but I don't have a name. The elementals called me "Earth Forge", the beings that guide the ones you created, call me "Ally", and Helya, my friend, calls me "Little Dragon" ... so you can call me whatever you like."

There was a telepathic silence.

-It is not at all uncomfortable to stand before the sight of 6 titanic beings and feel nothing from them. Due to the distance we were at I couldn't sense their feelings very well. Although it may also be due to something else. Besides being constantly checked up and down, with what I guess is curiosity and suspicion....

*SIGH*

-I'm not that dangerous. Why does everyone doubt me...? I haven't done anything to warrant distrust yet... well, yes, but it was for a just cause, for the future of the world and... nope, I can't even convince myself. Truth be told, I don't care if they doubt me too. I will get their blessings no matter what and then I will continue my life, while the "Guardians" do everything and I relax while I grow in power and absorb the surplus arcane energies that at this moment gush from the wound caused by the extraction of "Y'Shaarj" to poor Azeroth... I go little by little towards the top.

"Why do you wish to speak with us?" (Aman'Thul ¿?)

The same voice spoke.

"Do you want me to lie to you or tell you the truth?" (MC)

...

-*Sigh*. No one is amused by my jokes. I'm sure they're so old they've heard all kinds of jokes by now or they'll be so hard that they're just not funny. Maybe, if they're all tough then... *laugh*, don't imagine things with poor Eonar, it's not polite. Since I know they won't respond, I'd better speak directly.

"Sorry about that, I just wanted to have some fun and maybe, break the ice. You know, it's very cold up here" (MC).

I said while striking a pose of being very cold and trying to generate warmth. But as I saw that my "jokes" failed to pierce his tough skin, I just kept talking.

"*cough* Seriously speaking. I wish your blessings, I need your power to defend this world. Before you ask what I want it for, I will simply tell you that my goal, like yours, is to protect Azeroth" (MC).

I said as I pointed to the planet floating in space behind me.

"I don't particularly wish to destroy the world, corrupt Azeroth, dominate the world, burn life, consume everything in my path or anything along the lines of the typical villain. I just want to live in peace and happiness. To achieve my goals I need your help and power. In return I will protect your creations, which I will protect anyway, even if they don't give me power and I will help in all times of need in this world, which has always been my goal anyway. You know, I want what all living beings want, even what I suppose you want. I mean, you are alive too and you must have desires of your own and stuff... The thing is, I want your power and I came to somehow convince you that that happened. I can't do anything either in case you decide not to, and I'm already tired of making plans to get along with people and have them give me power in return... But I'll try one more time. *BREATHE*. In exchange for your power I will make a promise or magical contract or whatever, that I seek to protect this world as my first and last goal... Would that satisfy you?" (MC)

-Speak so much and so fast... I don't want to think of any more plans. I'll just be honest and say what I believe, and if they don't want me to, then no way. I am nothing against them. Although maybe I can...

"Although maybe I can tell them something so that they'll be convinced to help me help them" (MC).

-That sentence is a very manipulative one if I'm honest.

"No pressure of course" (MC).

All this time, the Titans had been silent....

-What pressure from this silence....

Author's Note: I apologize for the delay, I got a little sick. I don't think it's COVID or its variants though. It was a pain in my eyes and head. Plus I was a bit nauseous... but overall I'm better now. I hope to keep it up and it's not some sort of calm before the storm.

On the other hand, I am writing the next chapter. Which will explain and detail the form of the MC. (The one he uses to talk to the titans).

I hope you liked the chapter ^^. Until I update in a while... I hope.
