Two Worlds

The bodies of thousands of cultivators, alongside shattered formations, broken treasures and used talismans littered a battlefield.

At the moment, near the middle of this battlefield stood around two hundred cultivators.

The vast majority of these cultivators were at the Minor Transcendence Realm, and had managed to form a seemingly tense alliance to protect themselves from the stronger cultivators.

As such, the over 150 Minor Transcendence Cultivators stood together wrapped in layers upon layers of formations.

Above them in the pecking order stood the Major Transcendence Cultivators, who, like their weaker counterparts, were in groups.

But unlike the huge group of the Minor Transcendence Cultivators, the Major Transcendence Cultivators were in at most groups of five.

Even so, like the weaker cultivators, many of the Major Transcendence Cultivators were visibly injured.

At the top of the food chain on this battlefield stood the six Dao Saint Realm Cultivators.

Although none of these extremely powerful cultivators had any apparent injuries on their bodies, tone could still make out traces of battle on their treasures.

After all, originally, Thirteen Dao Saint Realm Cultivators had come to this battlefield.

...

As she stared at the scene in front of her, as well as at the five other cultivators who were on guard like her, Ming Yun couldn't help but take in a deep breath and destroy the thoughts that disrupted her concentration.

'It's very close, the final inheritance ground in this place should open in just a few years,' thought Ming Yun as she silently recovered from her injury.

Although Ming Yun had great combat prowess, she still had the second least amount of experience out of all the Dao Saints present, as she had finally reached this realm through combat in this place.

Ming Yun then nearly died a few times after just having ascended, as fighting against experienced Dao Saints proved far more difficult than she had expected.

In the end though, thanks to some great luck, Ming Yun was able to survive those early encounters and get her footing in this place which allowed her to survive here for tens of thousands of years.

A moment later, Ming Yun immediately disappeared, as a shockwave suddenly impacted against her.

Although the shockwave was not powerful enough to harm Ming Yun, it indicated that two Dao Saints had begun fighting.

By the time Ming Yun finally took a better look at the battle, it had already ended, though, causing Ming Yun to let out a faint sigh.

Like her, Chong Hai was someone who had broken through to the Dao Saint realm in this place, causing Ming Yun to feel a slight sense of comradery with him.

But as she looked at what remained of Chong Hai after his body had been crushed to piece by what seemed like a talisman, as well as at the old man next to him, a heavy look appeared on Ming Yun's face.

The old man next to Chong Hai's corpse was Di Tian, the oldest cultivator currently present on the battlefield, as well as one of the most powerful.

Unlike Ming Yun, who had gained a certain reputation thanks to her bloodthirsty and insane fighting style, Chong Hai was both much milder and weaker.

As such, he was regarded as the weakest Dao Saint here.

'The old man wants to eliminate as much of the competition as possible...' thought Ming Yun with a heavy look on her face.

Like Chong Hai, Ming Yun was a new Dao Saint, making her a prime target, and because of the latter's death, the only target.

...

Unaware of Ming Yun's troubles, Xu Yue, whose stomach had finally begun growing a bit, couldn't help but open a mouth, allowing Bai Hao to feed her an already peeled grape.

As she felt the sweat taste of the grape, Xu Yue couldn't help but open her mouth once again, causing Bai Hao to feed her another peeled grape under the envious eyes of Hulli Jing, who was standing nearby with her eyes crossed.

After devouring nearly all the grapes, Xu Yue finally opened her eyes and stared at Hulli Jing, causing her to suddenly get up from her bed and walk to the fox.

The moment the pregnant Xu Yue walked towards her, all of Hulli Jing's anger couldn't help but disappear without a trace, causing the fox, who was prepared to be angry, to appear quite confused.

"It looks like you are in quite good spirits..." mumbled Xu Yue as she used her hands to form a smile on Hulli Jing's face.

After a moment of awkwardness, a true smile appeared on the face of the fox as she stared at Xu Yue.

"My mood has been quite good recently, especially with her gone," said Hulli Jing, causing Xu Yue to fall into thought.

"So Ye Qiao went to visit her sister?" asked Xu Yue, causing Hulli Jing to nod as the two sat down.

Upon seeing Hulli Jing's affirmation, Xu Yue couldn't help but shake her head.

"She's really daring to leave me with a shameless fox like you," said Xu Yue as she looked straight into Hulli Jing's eyes.

"You know that's a lie, in the first place, you are the last one who should be scolding me on my shamelessness!" said Hulli Jing as she got up and stared at Xu Yue, who was sitting down.

"Shamelessness recognizes shamelessness," said Xu Yue, causing both Hulli Jing ears and her tail to move erratically for a few moments

After taking a deep breath, Hulli Jing returned to normal before shaking her head.

"Arguing with you is useless,".mumbled Hulli Jing before disappearing, leaving Xu Yue and Bing Hao alone.

As she looked at the spot that Hulli Jing had just stood in a moment ago, Xu Yue couldn't help but touch her chin for a few moments before shaking her head.

"Things are getting quite complicated recently, don't you think so, Hao'er?" asked Xu Yue.

"Haven't things always been this way?"
