where did everyone go?

The door didn't make a sound as I slowly cracked it open.

Once it was open enough, I leaned my head out, and looked down both ends of the hall.

'Nothing?' I thought, confused.

Not seeing anyone, I slowly closed the door again, and turned to the dead body's on the ground.

As I looked at them, I saw the magazine pouch on one of the dead men's belt.

Ejecting the almost empty magazine that was in my pistol, I grabbed one of the full magazines from the pouch and loaded the pistol.

As I did so, I looked at the pistol itself.

It was a generic Glock 17, with no addons.

'Good, reliable pistol.' I thought.

Now with a full mag, I grabbed the one remaining magazine that was in the pouch, and stood back up.

Looking around once more before leaving, an idea popped up in my head.

'If they aren't military, who are they?'

Leaning down, I started to check for wallets, phones, or any papers that might tell me who these men were.

But my quick search of their pockets brought nothing to light.

But as I searched, I realized blood covering my feet, from the pools of it that covered the floor.

Not wanting to leave visible tracks behind me when I left the room, I used an extra gown that was hanging next to the door, to get the blood off my feet.

Now with nothing left for me, I turned back to the door.

Opening the door again, I looked out, and again saw nothing.

So, quietly, I stepped out and into the hallway.

At one end of the hall, I saw a reception desk, so I decided that was the best place to head, and to hopefully find some people who could answer some questions I have. Like why the hell was a group of armed men allowed into my room?

Walking down the hall, I listened for any sounds, but there was nothing.

Creeping down the hall, I neared the reception desk, and looked around the small open space, where there should be a nurse.

Standing in front of the large circular desk, I leaned over the top, to look for a phone, or a button to press.

But as I leaned over the top, I caught sight of a prone figure.

The person wore light blue scrubs, and was lying in a pool of crimson blood.

'Shit.'I thought, as I went around the reception counter to the opening, and got a look at the figure.

The lady was clearly a nurse and had been shot in the head.

'Who the hell were those guys?' I thought.

'To kill innocent people like this, unarmed, and not a threat?' I wondered.

'And why did they want me?'

Just as I had that thought, The sounds of footsteps could be heard coming from a hallway that led right to where I was.

Kneeling down next to the dead nurse, I waited for the approaching group.

I only had to wait a few moments before the small group, of what I could tell was three men, came into the small area.

"What the hell is taking them so long?" A man said, as they walked quickly through the area.

"I don't know. I heavily sedated him, to make it easy for them to get him out of there." a younger sounding Man said.

By this point, they were just passing the desk.

"Well we need to hurry, we don't know how long we have before those fanatics blow everything up."

Slowly, I stood from my crouch, and looked over the top of my cover.

I saw three men slowly making their way down the hallway I had come from.

Two were middle aged men, and one younger looking doctor.

The doctor wore the normal wear for a doctor, blue scrubs and a white lab coat.

While the other two wore a strange collection of clothes.

One had cache pants, with joggers, and a flannel long sleeve shirt, with a tan shemagh around his neck.

While the one trailing the other two, wore blue jeans, hiking shoes, and a plain yellow shirt, and also wearing a shemagh around his neck.

As they neared the room I had come from, I slipped from behind the reception desk, and made my way to the entrance of the hallway, and pressed my body to the wall, and looked over the side and down the hall.

The first to enter the room was mister flannel.

He pushed open the door, and instantly pulled a gun from his waistband.

Him doing so, made his yellow shirted buddy do the same.

While the doctor stepped back at what he saw.

Both of the men with guns stepped into the room, while the doctor stood at the door breathing heavily.

It only took a few seconds for the gunmen to exit the room.

"I thought you said he was sedated." flannel yelled at the doctor.

"I did, he should have been out for days with what I put in him." the doctor shot back.

"Well you clearly didn't, Dr. Grunge." yellow shirt said, raising his gun in a flash, shooting the doctor in the head.

"What a waste." Yellow shirt said, as he looked down at the dead body.

"We need to find him quickly, if he hasn't already escaped." Flannel said, as he looked down the hallways, making me duck back behind the wall.

"That end is a dead end, so if he is still here we already passed him." yellow shirt said.

After he said that, both men started to make their way back down the hallway towards me at a run.

Stepping slightly away from the wall, I raised my gun and waited for them to pass me.

The first to pass was yellow shirt.

With a single shot, I blew part of his head off, then turned to shoot his buddy, who was close behind. But as I turned, I made the mistake of keeping my gun straight out, instead of keeping it closer to my body.

Me making this mistake, allowed the flannel guy to hit my wrist, move the gun away from him, as well as weakening the gripp I had on my gun.

Pushing his advantage. Flannel pushed me back and into the wall hard, making the pistol drop from my hand.

Now without a weapon, and against a wall, I didnt think about what I was doing. I lifted my leg and brought it down on his knee cap, Causing him to cry out in pain, as a pop rang out.

But even then he refused to let go, and instead, he pushed harder on my neck with his elbow.

But With my wealth of hand to hand combat, my body went on autopilot, as I reacted to my situation.

Bringing my right arm up, I brought it swiftly down on his arm, weakening his grip for a split second as brought my knee up and into his junk.

The man fell to a knee, as the pain from my hit passed through him.

Taking the advantage, I grabbed his hair with both hands and brought the same knee up again, to smash into his face.

As my knee met his face, I felt, as well as herd, the bones in the mans face break into pieces.

All it took was the one hit to his face to completely incapacitate the man, as blood gushed from his nose and mouth.

Letting go of his hair, the man dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes, hitting his head hard on the ground.

Getting my breathing back under control. I spotted the glock 17 I had dropped, as well as the extra mag, that ley a few feet from the gun.

Grabbing the gun, I checked to make sure I hadn't damaged anything important, that could cause the gun not to fire.

After checking that it was okay, I turned to the man, who was now starting to come around, and was coughing up blood.

Dropping the pistol to my side, I stepped next to his prone body and looked down at him.

The man was maybe in his early twenties, and had a black scruffy looking beard, and hair that came down to his eyebrows.

Under those brows was a single open eye, that stared dagger at my calm blues.

'Who are, and who do you work for?' I asked.

But all the man could do was stare at me, as I realized, I had dislocated his jaw.

'Shit, this guy is of no use if he can't speak.' I thought, as I looked at him.

'But maybe he can be.'

Going to the reception desk, I leaned over it, and grabbed the landline cord that was connected to the phone.

Pulling it from the phone, I continued to pull, until the cord was torn from the wall, giving me 20 feet of the cord that I could use to tie the man up.

Walking over to the man, I used my foot to roll him to his side.

As I did so, the man let out a groan of pain.

"Shut up, you did this to yourself, and if you didn't have some information in your head that might be useful to the US government, as to why you attacked a hospital, I would have put a bullet in both of your legs, and let you bleed out." I said, as I tied both of the man's hands behind his back.

Now with the man tied, I dragged him over to a wall that has some side railings, and used the last of the cord to tie him to the steel wall railings.

[Clint Barton/ Hawkeye] (3rd person)

Sitting in a quintet with the rest of his team, Clint went over the mission's details again.

'Unknown energy signature in a US military hospital.' Clint read, as he turned the page.

'Unknown what is emitting the energy ~' Clint thought, before he was interrupted.

"Hawkeye, I have agent Coulson on. He says there's a change to the mission." One of the pilots said, through Client's earpiece.

Before Clint could speak, another voice spoke through his earpiece.

"Clint, there has been a problem." the recognizable voice of agent coulson said.

"Oh yeah, what." Clint asked.

"The hospital you are heading to, it was just attacked by unknown individuals. From CCTV footage we have obtained from surrounding buildings, it looks to be a terrorist attack."

"Isn't that a bit strange?" Clint asked, as he looked at the estimated landing time, which was on display on one of the screens in the quinjets communications section. " We get readings that there is a strange energy emanating from the hospital, and not long after there is a terrorist attack?"

"Normally I would say yes, but Landstuhl isn't the only US installment to be attacked. There was also an attack on a US embassy in France, which is being dealt with as we speak by the French government. as well as an attack in the UK on another embassy. This was a large-scale attack that was more than likely planned long before we gained the energy readings." Coulson said, in his usual calm tone.

"Right, well we are only a few minutes away from the hospital now, do you have any visuals inside?"

Clint asked, as he grabbed his bow, which was leaning along one of the walls of the jet.

"No, The cameras were disabled minutes before the attack, but what I can tell you is that there are at least 20 individuals with weapons ."

"Well that's helpful." Clint chuckled. " Are there any explosives? And what kind of weapons are we talking about here? Just some crazies with knives, or idiots with AK's?" Clint asked.

"Unknown. But a few of them did carry large bags inside, so there is a high possibility of explosives and AK's." Coulson said, his monotone voice not changing.

"Alright, we are about to land, I will contact you when we are finished here." Clint said, as he disconnected from the communication.

Adjusting the quiver on his back, Clint gave the signal to the rest of his team to ready up, as he made his way to the rear bay, waiting for the jet to set down.
