Prologue - Part 2

No matter how hard Uriel rubbed his eyes, the colors around him did not return to normal. It was as if he was watching on an old TV where everything was in black and white.

Frowning more deeply, he got up from the sofa and opened the door to the house quickly.

Sigh!

Looking outside, a sigh of disbelief came unconsciously from his mouth.

Outside, everything was in black and white just as it was in his house. Besides something else that he realized only now - everything had stopped moving, raindrops were floating in the air, cars outside were frozen in place, and people walking on the sidewalks were motionless.

Taking a few steps back, he slowly closed his eyes. Breathing in and out, he opened his eyes again; nothing had changed, everything in his vision was still in black and white.

His heart began to beat very fast as if it was trying to jump out of his chest. His breathing was heavy, and he was trying his best to remain calm.

But soon, his black eyes spun around as if they couldn't believe what they were seeing, and his mind was screaming in disbelief.

"Ha ha ha..." A strange laugh came out of his mouth and his eyes stared at the two beings in front of him. "A monster... a skeleton monster and... and a demon..." His hair stood up, and his legs became wobbly.

An abnormally huge being; with a height that went from the ground to the sky-a a black skeleton! Its bones were darker than night, a red crown was on top of its skull, and a royal cloak fell over its shoulders. A deep and ancient aura that made everything around it nothing but dust radiated from the skeleton.

And floating in front of the skeleton, with his hands behind his back, was a being that ascended the feeling of fear in every human - a demon. He had long white hair, vibrant red eyes, red lips full of cracks, and a large black horn sticking out of the middle of his forehead.

Uriel looked at him with a small fear in his heart. But his heartbeat soon began to calm down, the muscles in his body relaxed and he sat down in front of his house watching the two mystical beings.

He knew... If these two beings wanted to kill him, in the blink of an eye he would be dead, there was no point in running away; he didn't think he would succeed even if he tried. So he decided to just watch the scene in silence.

Soon, a voice echoed in his mind.

"Demon of the 10 Thousand Black Mountains, it's been about 8 years since we came to this Outer Universe." The voice carried with it strange antiquity and majesty that made Uriel think he should kneel before the giant skeleton; of course, that was only a momentary thought, he wasn't going to do that.

The demon had no reaction, unlike Uriel, his face was as calm as ever and he said, "What does the Heaven Destroying Titan mean by that? Interfering with the Laws of Space and Time and calling me here."

Uriel lit up. Interfering with the Laws of Space and Time, that's probably the reason the world was in black and white. He stood silently and watched the scene unfold.

"It has been 8 years since we appeared in this outer Universe, and since neither you nor I want to stay here, I have come to offer you a proposition."

The demon raised his eyebrow slightly. He pondered for a moment; just as the Heaven Destroying Titan had spoken, it had been 8 years since they were suddenly thrown into this strange Universe - a Universe where not even a small portion of Spiritual Energy existed. He could no longer bear to stay here without being able to cultivate. But, he didn't respond quickly and without thinking; before they were thrown here, he and the Heaven Destroying Titan were having a life and death battle, it was hard to trust the other party.

"Speak your proposal first and, I will decide if I will help you." After thinking carefully, he said.

Uriel focused on the conversation in front of him. 8 years... That coincides with the time when his father abandoned him. Maybe... just maybe the stories his father will told him were real. Even if he didn't care about his father anymore, he couldn't erase the desire in his heart to venture to the so-called 'Tower of Desires'.

Soon, the voice of the Heaven Destroying Titan sounded again, "If I'm not mistaken, you must have a certain spiritual connection with the Abyss, right?"

"Indeed, I do have a spiritual connection with the Abyss. But, what does that entail?"

"I wonder if you already know the reason that brought us to this Universe?"

"Stop stalling and speak up!" The Demon of the 10 Thousand Black Mountains ran out of patience and his shout permeated heavily into the ears of Uriel, who almost felt his eardrums burst.

Seeing the other party's impatience, the Heaven-Destroying Titan spoke, "Very well, very well. The reason I have called you here is to ask you that by means of your spiritual link with the Abyss, you would send both mine and your soul into the Abyss. There, we could try to ask for help from a being who has reached the Heavens, so that he can bring our physical bodies back."

"You may not know it, but this Universe is unconsciously expending its energy to pull beings from nearby Universes. This serves as a means of defense, you must have realized that in this Universe there is no special energy or power of any kind; precisely because of this, the Universe's own energy is in excess, forcing it to spend it somehow."

"And that way the Universe found was to summon beings from other Universes. That way, in addition to solving the problem of excess energy, it would be making itself accustomed to different forms of energies and powers to one day create its own system of power and enhanced Rules and Laws."

Uriel blinked in silence and realized that the information he had just heard, would take a while to digest. He continued to listen in silence.

The Demon of the 10 Thousand Black Mountains listening to the Heaven Destroying Titan put on a serious expression and after pondering for a while, he waved his hand in the air and his face showed understanding. Soon, he said, "I see, that is the reason why you can freeze the space-time of the Universe so easily, the rules and laws of this Universe are really a bit too fragile."

"But, I regret to tell you that I cannot transfer my and your soul to the Abyss; if I could do that, I would have done it before."

As if already expecting his response, the Heaven Destroying Titan let out a small laugh and spoke, "You worry too much, if I came to offer you a deal, it means I have already planned the process."

"All you need to do is open your spiritual connection with the Abyss and leave the rest to me."

The Demon of the 10 Thousand Black Mountains frowned. He didn't trust the other party, they were both sworn enemies before they appeared in this place, and now the Heaven Destroying Titan suddenly asks him for something that needs trust; no matter how much he wished to leave this place, he wasn't crazy enough to trust this fellow.

"Don't rush to refuse my offer."

Just as he was about to refuse, the voice of the Heaven Destroying Titan stopped him.

"We are not the first to be summoned in this place; in fact, we are the last. In approximately 3 years, all the excess energy in the Universe will run out. And this time, the Universe will not return the summoned beings to their Universe of origin, meaning we will be stuck in that Universe forever." The Heaven Destroying Titan's voice was serious at that moment. Just as he said, if they didn't leave soon, they would stay in this Universe forever; he didn't dare joke about something like that.

The face of the Demon of the 10,000 Dark Mountains turned gloomy. He didn't wish to stay in this Universe forever either, but was it worth the risk to trust the Heaven Destroying Titan?

After listening to the Heaven Destroying Titan, Uriel had some understanding of what was going on. "Father was probably like those two - someone summoned by the Universe - and if I'm right, 8 years ago when he abandoned me, the Universe sent him to his home Universe. Does that mean he didn't really want to abandon me?" He pondered this, only to give a laugh and shake his head. "That doesn't matter, my father's importance to me has long since completely disappeared. Even if I find out he's dead, I probably won't be too affected."

As Uriel pondered silently, the Demon of the 10 Thousand Black Mountains made up his mind. Opening his mouth, he said, "Very well, I will open my connection to the Abyss. I hope you will not betray my trust." He whispered the second part softly and intimidatingly.

"Demonic Art of the Demon of the Deep Abyss - Projection of the Abyss."

Soon, Uriel began to hear sounds of screaming and wailing invading his mind. He frowned and saw something appearing behind the Demon of the 10 Thousand Black Mountains. A desolate, dark world with a bright blood moon in the high sky, demons devouring humans, roaring beasts running wild, massacres in ancient kingdoms and empires, and cries of tormenting souls.

"Is that the Abyss?" Uriel wondered with a little fear. But for some reason, a smile was on his lips.

With a huge demonic and evil aura covering his entire body, the Demon of the 10 Thousand Black Mountains said, "Quickly do what you want to do."

"Humph, you are too hasty. Very well, that is a technique I learned long ago from the God of Chaos." The Heaven Destroying Titan waved his hand in the direction of the Abyss Projection and the world shook. "Chaos Spirit Technique - Chaos Fusion Suction."

Uriel suddenly felt his vision cloud and something being pulled from his body; something that did not physically exist.

"I see, this is your idea." The Demon of the 10 Thousand Black Mountains commented as he felt his soul being sucked from his body towards the Abyss Projection. But, he soon frowned deeply; "Wait, why do I feel one more soul?! That's...!"

Soon, Uriel's consciousness began to fade as the last thing he saw was the two mystical beings in front of him looking at him with surprise and shock.
