The Twelve Star Guardians

The star guardians, they are born with the great purpose. They are not chosen ones, they are not special, they are born to be the hope bringer of this world. They are the last wish and gift from a Goddess to all the beings. As light and shadow, the sun and the moon, torn between love and hate. *If you are the bystander of relationships, the black sheep of the family, the loner of life, or you want to seek something sad and empty to read. You may enjoy this novel a lot* I may post 1-2 chapters per week. After I finish 'Oglourine Academy' first vol, then I will mainly focus on writing this novel. Thank you for supporting me!

Chapter 6: Kiana

"I love it how the world has served me with sorrow and disappointment well"

-Kiana-

The day that she has fallen is the day that her hope faded completely.

She knows about the truth of this world, about the goddess's true purpose and the meaning of battling these evil entities after all.

Sometimes, love is not the treasure, but freedom is the real one.

Before that, Kiana didn't understand why universal spirits called her constellation, the sorrow chains. Now she knows why. However, she loves the way that it tears her apart and breaks her down into pieces. With that, she can build up better and stronger.

"Didn't know should I appreciate it or not"

Kiana didn't betray Chloris. She left Chloris to go on with her chosen path. It's just sad that they are in the opposite force. Did she ever love Chloris? Yes. Does she love her now? Still yes.

"Am I addicted to … Sorrow?"

That is the only question that she keeps asking herself infinitely.

On that day, Kiana pushed Chloris into the void because she knew that her best friend could survive. And that was the only way to prove her loyalty to the Goddess of the Light and the evil entities. She had no other choices. She cried, her tears dropped, nevertheless, no one would be able to see. The void was too dark.

Kiana realized that the Star Guardians were and are fighting forever with the evil. She learned that evil has already won in the first place. She understood Lumina's ideal.

Lumina was just trying to free herself and Duna from the unwanted weight of responsibility.

Instead of enduring the eternal despair and dolorous, why couldn't we end it now? Once and forever.

Why do we have to try when all we could do is to accept fate? Even the deities are being controlled by other higher beings. Then why are we imprisoning ourselves? We can stand up and fight. Not for anything else, just for our own self.

By standing up and fighting, it doesn't have to contain violence. Because the higher beings must have so much power in order to control you.

Jealousy, anger, sadness, fear, disgust, anxiety, guilt, boredom, frustration, shame, embarrassment, rage, apathy, disappointment, social rejection, and aggression.

Those all are natural emotions of a true human. Yes, it's negative, nonetheless, it still belongs to a human being and a solid proof.

The higher beings once said that: "There must be the shadow of the void and blackhole to balance with the light of the cluster and nebula, always".

Then why are they trying to wipe out the negative emotions of human beings? After all this, did Duna misunderstood the assignment? Or the higher beings were behind all of this?

Kiana doesn't know the answer yet.

At least she knows how to escape the matrix, the game of higher-leveled deity.

It's destroying their own favorite game.

What is Sorrow?
