Chapter 36 Returning Home and Using The Dimensional Displacement Device

After the last flood ship fell as I was about to celebrate our victory with my team a notification from the system appears in my helmet it was at this point I remember the mission and it's rewards so I quickly tell everyone to get to their seats fast

Mission 3

The flood will arrive at earth and thanks to your intervention of stopping the covenant from getting to the ark the flood ship can not follow through the portal so it's your responsibility to stop them from getting to earth.

Rewards:

3000 Divine Points and the remaining ships of your fleet will be transported back to the Harvest system

DISTRIBUTING REWARDS

Before I could even say anything else there was a bright light that blinds everyone preventing me from seeing what's going on after some time the light subsides allowing me to see what is going on to my suprise as I look out the window to see that we are no longer at earth but have returned to Darkadia before I could process what was happening the space station orbiting Darkadia send a communication request I know who it is so I just accept it and on the holographic table a red little girl appears " greatings supreme commander I did not expect you back this soon was the mission successful" I just look a her a complicated expression on my face before I speak" we succeeded but before i could talk to the UNSC after the battle the system distributed the rewards one of which was to teleport all remain ships of my fleet back here so to them it looks like we just disappeared" hearing my eplination the Red Queen just nods before talking again "right a strange device appeared on the station earlier i assume it was from the system since shortly after it appeared the method to use it appeared in my data" hering her say this i am no longer surprised by the system anymore.

After talking for abit with Red Queen and calculating the loss of ships which was a shock half of the corvettes were destroyed and half of the Frigates were damaged and unable to move luckily the system had teleported us otherwise I would have to abandon those ships but at least now they could still be used after some repairs but still today's events still feel odd since from my memory it was never this easy to deal with the flood even if we had an elemental cannon most if not all ships should have been either damaged or destroyed so why was it not as bad something does not sit well but not much i can do about it.

After finishing my thoughts I ask Red Queen the exact purpose of the of the Dimensional Displacement Device " it's actually a little strange it takes the system it's placed in and extracts it from it's universe than puts it in a small pocket Dimension while creating a sort of wormhole that only allows objects with a special deivice to pass through as for where the wormhole leads it will not be the same universe you took the system from and will be to a new universe it might be best to use it to give us time to build up also it's possible to pull other systems into the pocket Dimension using a sub device however unlike the main device that uses the sun as a power source the sub device has to have a power source attached the amount of power needed is far beyond anything any civilization has produced" hearing this I know it's best to use the device as fast as possible to prevent others from targeting us to stop our growth.

After only a few seconds of thought I come to a decision " Red Queen get the sentinels to deploy the device it's best option we have I doubt the UNSC command will allow rogue Spartans to exist" hearing my command Red Queen nod and disappears from the holographic table I just sigh and order the survivors of the battle to go rest and relax for now since we have no plans for another battle for awhile but I remember something I call the Clone Spartan team I sent to the key ship not long after they come to the bridge I call Red Queen on the holo table and tell her to broadcast what I am about to do to every ship so that the other Spartan clones can see than turn the Spartan team again " right I am not good at speechs but you did your mission perfectly and without casualties for this achievement I believe you deserve a reward you go by your designation but as of this day you will have names that belong to you 001 from today onward you are Blaze" hearing his new name Dark could see that the clone Spartan who was not in his helmet was crying it seems he was happy to have a name since not of the clone Spartans had one and were just given a code to go by seeing this Dark continues " 002 from today onwards you will be called Vess" unlike the other two members of the Spartan team Vess was a female clone so i thought this name was better for her now for the last one 003 from what i have seen he has a passion for computers or any other technology so the name i plan to give him is Tek after taking a breath " 003 from today onward you shall bare the name Tek" hearing his name Dark can see Tek smile realising his name was due to his love of technology.

After giving them names I turn around facing the device that recoding everything and speak " it was thanks to these three that we were able to get the mission done before we had to fight the flood and for this they have been rewarded for their efforts" after finishing I tell Red Queen to end the broadcast once she does I sigh and dismiss the clone Spartan team who have been given a team name as well to show they are no longer just clone Spartans but valuable part of the Darkadia and it's forces.

After they left I remember I have not had any rest and I have used a considerable amount of my energy and should both rest and recharge my energy my meditating in my meditation room before I need to see to something since an exhausted leader will not be able to make effective decisions so without any delay I decide to recharge first then head to bed for some sleep to deal with the fatigue Red Queen had said it will take about a week to set the device up and activate it so it's best to let everyone relax for now myself included.

After a full week of rest and relaxation myself and my team are fully energised luckily Red Queen had already informed us that the Dimensional Displacement Device was ready to be activated so here we are on the space station while every ship has landed on the planet or docked at the station to ensure they come with use since we were unsure if they would be left behind after all the ships were in place I give Red Queen a nod indicating that she could activate the device not long after I see a strange light spread from the device that was place above the systems star surprisingly not being pulled in by the stars gravity but before I could think anything else the light spread covering everything in the system and causing everyone to close their eyes due to how bright it was after about 10 minutes the light begins to recede revealing the same system with nothing changed "did it work nothing look dif" before I could finish a large blue object appears at the edge of the system the object it's self looks like a wormhole one would see in star trek with a slight lines of red mixed in.

Seeing this I think that means that the device worked but I wonder where it will lead and to which foes are on the otherside maybe it's a univere without conflict or maybe a world with a mad titan who wants to erase half of the life In the universe but that's for another time for now I need to prepare and rebuild the ships that were lost so I can stand a chance on an unknown universe.
