Chapter 7

After running for a day, Jason and his mother were able to arrive at a place that is surrounded by mountains, and by the look of things, if someone should fall down from where they are standing, what awaits them is nothing but death. But to queen Jeanie, the place seems to be the perfect place for them to rest for the night since Jason's face is already going pale.

"So what are we supposed to do now that we have arrived here?'' asked Jason as he turned to his mother for an answer.

"What else are we supposed to do other than hiding down there until you have recovered your lost energy and have a good rest before we continue heading out? '' she replied with a warm smile on her face.

"But isn't it dangerous to jump all the way down?" asked Jason, a little worried.

"Come on Jason, you are a profound Immortal for crying out loud compare to those on the lower heaven, you would be able to jump down without getting a scratch on you but not worry, since you are already exhausted, it is going to take a lot of time for you to get down so I'm going to help you out" queen Jeanie replied before taking him by the hand and jumped down while wrapping her arms around him as they continue to fall down.

After falling for about five minutes, queen Jeanie suddenly let go of him before slamming her hand down as she destroyed a little mountain that would hinder their flight before going ahead of Jason and since she is a celestial cultivator, it is much easier for her to move freely in the air.

It didn't take her much time to reach the bottom as she began to observe the surroundings to see if it is a good place to hide and that was when she heard a loud shout which came from nobody other than Jason. Letting out a sigh, she stretches her hand upward as she begins to control the gravity around him with the use of her realm as she slows his fall until he falls down.

"You need to man up Jason, you are no longer a kid you know. And with what is going on in the kingdom, if I happen to be caught, how are you going to continue living when you are scared of every little thing when you are not weak" said queen Jeanie with a frown as she stared into his eyes.

Jason ended up not having a word to say rather than bow his head down in shame of himself and seeing how down he was, queen Jeanie couldn't help but let out a chuckle as she poke him in the head playfully.

"Come Jason, you don't have to look down over something like this" she said with a smile.

"Is not that I'm down but I'm just so disappointed in myself for being so scared" replied Jason as he raised his head up.

"Well, that is something you will have to work out all by yourself if you want to achieve greater height my son" advises queen Jeanie with a smile.

Jason nodded his head to what she said before speaking up.

"That reminds me mother since you can travel in the sky, what is the need for us to travel by foot"?.

"Is not that I don't want to but that would make it much easier for the others to track us down" she replied with a serious look on her face before looking for a place to rest.

"You are the one who was asking for rest, so you better use the little time you have right now to rest and gain some energy before we continue with our journey" she said after finding a good resting spot.

Jason decided to shut his mouth as he walked up to her before laying on the slab she had made for him before closing his eyes as he took a nap while queen Jeanie sat by the side as she went into meditation.

Meanwhile, the guards had been following their track for a long time and were still not able to track them down which was beginning to get the bald man angry.

"Are you sure that we are going the right way"? He asked after enduring for a long time and there were no results.

"Of course, we are on the right track" replied the guard who was in charge of the tracking.

"Since we are following the right track, then how come we have not been able to come across them"? The bald man asked.

"According to the trace they left behind, they seem to be in a hurry so unless you plan to run all the way blindly which is fine by me anyway or you can just shut your mouth and let me do my job" replied the guard.

"Hey baldy, any word from you again and I'm going to slit your throat. You are becoming more of a bug" said one of the guards who seemed to be stronger than the two.

Since the other guard had spoken up, the bald man decided to shut his mouth as they continued to follow the tracker from behind until it was very dark in the night when they arrived at the mountains. When they got to the mountains, the guard who was in charge of tracking suddenly stopped looking at the ground as he lifted his head to observe the mountains which kind of got the rest guards confused until one of them spoke up since he was not saying anything.

"Is this where the trail ends?'' He asked.

"That's what it seems and right now what lays before us are mountains and this is where it becomes difficult for us to track them" replied the guard who was in charge of the track.

"So what are we supposed to do now that we have lost track of them"? Asked one of the guards.

"What else could we do rather than to get down there and search for them?" replied the guard who ordered the bald man to shut up.
