Chapter 8

Looking down from the mountain, the ten guards decided to go down the mountain since it is the only option they have in continuing their search. Going down the mountain, the bald man couldn't help but curse at the guard who is in charge of tracking the queen as they continue to fall which leads to the two having a little disagreement. Meanwhile, queen Jeanie who was busy meditating by Jason's side suddenly opened her eyes with a deep frown on her face as she lifted her head upward.  

"Hey, Jason wakes up" she taps Jason on the head after sensing some familiar aura from above.

"It's too early to be waking up mother. If I'm not mistaken, it hasn't been long since I slept off" complain Jason as he refused to get up.

Seeing the way he was acting, queen Jeanie was forced to take matters into her hand as she held him by the hand before kicking the ground and she was off with Jason swinging in the air like a lifeless being. And no matter how badly he wanted the sleep, Jason was still forced to open his eyes after some time of unease and it was only then that he knew they had been running.

"Why are we running all of a sudden mother, I thought you said this place is the perfect place for us to take a break" complained Jason almost in tears.

"That was what I thought but who would have thought that they would be able to locate where we are hiding" replied queen Jeanie as she let go of his hand. 

"What do you mean by they, I thought that baldy we met in that village was the only one that is after us"? Asked Jason.

"You are too naive to think that way Jason. If the kingdom was to send someone of his ability who wouldn't be a match for me here, then it wouldn't be considered as a search but rather he was sent here to survey the who of the lower heavens" replied queen Jeanie with a laugh.

"So how many did they send after us"? Asked Jason with a fearful look on his face.

"If I'm not mistaken, then the kingdom has sent ten guards after us" replied queen Jeanie.

Hearing the number that left his mother's mouth, Jason couldn't help but mutter to himself as they continued to run.

"Why would the palace send such a number after the two of us".

"That's because the crime we are accused of is a taboo and let's not forget about my strength even though I'm the queen, I was still known to be one of the strongest fighters at the peak of the celestial realm" replied queen Jeanie with a smile. 

While they were making a run for it, the guards had already made it to the bottom of the mountain and since it was very sandy down there, they were able to tell where the duo went even without the help of their tracker.

"They don't seem to have left the place for a long time so if we are fast enough, we might be able to catch up to them" said the guard who threatened to kill the bald man if he were to speak up again. 

Not bothering to waste much time looking around the place, the guards all charge toward where the trail leads. After running for some time, queen Jeanie could feel their aura once again which made her frown even more as she picked Jason in her arm before increasing her pace.

"She seems to be running really fast and at this rate, I don't think that we will be able to catch up to her" complained one of the guards who noticed her aura fading away.

"Since she is getting faster, then we would do the same as well" order the strongest among the guards. 

And before long, the guards had also increased their speed as they continued to give chase. Queen Jeanie ran for a long time and during the time she was running, she had left some of her energy around the place to slow the guards down enough for her to get far away from them. After making sure that she had lost them, queen Jeanie didn't stop running to catch her breath. Instead, she decided to continue with the journey as she made her way out of the mountain before taking it into the sky where she flew at an incredible speed. 

It took the guards some time before they were able to get rid of the energy she left behind even with the help of their strongest fighter, they still couldn't get rid of it on time before making their way to the end of the mountain where they could feel her energy coming from above.

"Good thing that we were able to get time done on time else it would have been very difficult to find her again" said the strongest fighters before also taking it to the sky as he begin to follow the aura that was left behind and so was with the other members of the guard as they begin to follow the aura in top speed. 

After traveling in the sky for a whole day, Queen Jeanie decided to take a break since flying in the sky has taken a lot of energy out of her. Landing on the ground, she decided to pop a pill on her mouth to help speed up the rate at which she could recover her energy before sitting on the ground cross leg as she began to cultivate. 

Being left alone, Jason decided to keep a watchful eye over his mother since she is cultivating even though he knew he was of no help to her but still he decided to set a fight since it is in the middle of the night.

"I'm going to pick up some dry woods, I will be back in a minute" he said to her before walking not too far from where she was resting to get some dry woods that he is going to use to make fire.
