The Battle Of Flight:

" David, just try your hardest not to disappoint me "

Says Alice as she flies forward appearing directly in front of David in a split second throwing a swinging leg kick. David ducks under the kick before slashing his blade at Alice's throat.

The point of his blade doesn't reach. David stumbles forward after missing his slash. Before throwing his knife at Alice. Alice scoffs and stares at the blade hurled at her. She catches the knife with two fingers.

Alice stares at the blade until her eyes widen noticing that David has circled around her. David stands behind Alice with his back facing her. He twists his body and throws a back fist.

The back fist slammed into her chin but her face didn't bulge. David stares at her in shock while lifting his fist off her chin. David throws another punch but Alice's hand flickers before she punches him in the chest sending him flying.

David's body flies through the air passing hundreds of pillars. David's clothes ripple in the wind as he watches Alice fly towards him. A sonic boom occurs at Alice's feet as she flies around a massive pillar, appearing behind David throwing a punch.

She slams her fist into David's spinal cord, launching him forward. His body twirls and spins in the air, as Alice flies forward throwing a barrage of punches. Alice starts juggling David in the air. Each punch creates a massive shockwave.

Alice slammed her fist into David's stomach. He spews out blood as Alice flies down before flipping in the air and flying up throwing a lightning-fast uppercut. The mighty uppercut slams into David's jaw.

David's eyes turned white as a massive shockwave rippled. David's body hovered in the air before the energy caught up to Alice's speed. Launching him supersonic speeds upwards slamming into the first-floor ceiling.

David fell unconscious. As he fell from the ceiling, hundreds of pebbles fell alongside him. Alice floated in the air staring at the unconscious David. She grinned until her eyes suddenly widened noticing that David was holding onto his knife.

"When did he grab that? Don't tell me. He suffered through that beating just to get that knife."

Said Alice. She quickly flew upward throwing an uppercut towards David's chest. The punch sailed towards David until he suddenly shifted his body in the air making her punch narrowly miss.

David regains his consciousness and spins in the air thrusting his knife at Alice's jugular. Alice leans back as the knife grazes her neck making blood leak down her neck. David grunts in a mix of annoyance and pain.

He crosses his arm to block a punch. The lightning-fast punch slams into his right forearm as the sound of cracking enters David's ear. The punch shattered David's forearm. David grits his teeth in pain as the sheer impact of the punch propels him backward.

David hurls towards a colossal stone pillar before flipping and landing on the pillar. His shoes start to slide down the pillar making a squeaky sound. David's body shakes in pain as he stares at Alice floating in the air glaring at him.

Alice vanishes and reappears in her face. David swings his blade but the knife passes through Alice's face catching him off guard.

Alice has turned up her speed. David can no longer track her movements with his eyes. He can only see her afterimage. David's knife passes through Alice's afterimage until Alice slams her foot into David's chest.

The sheer power of the kick sends David's body crashing through the stone pillar. David floats on the other side of the pillar. David tries to regain his composure but he quickly sees Alice floating above him pointing her palm down towards him.

The wind starts swirling around Alice's palm. The air crackles around Alice's body as a ball of wind forms in her palm. Alice takes a deep breath before firing the wind ball.

Before David could react, the windball slammed into his chest. Making him vomit blood. The attack sends David's body crashing towards the floor. The windball slams his body through the floor.

David starts to fall down to the second floor of the tomb. The windball is still on his chest until the wind ball starts to vibrate and shake rapidly. David glances at the wind ball barely conscious.

The ball separates sending thousands of wind slashes through the air. The wind slash slams into the pillars slicing them into two. David stares at the sliced pillars before touching his body. He wasn't slashed at all.

" Thank you. "

Murmered David. David knew Alice had spared his life. David's eyes flickered in and out of consciousness. As Alice appeared next to him. Alice floated down with the falling David. David glanced over at Alice before weakly slashing his knife at her.

Alice stared at the slash before leaning her head back slowly dodging the weak attack. Alice scoffed at the attack before talking.

" Why? Why do you still attack? The majority of your bones are shattered. Yet you keep trying to fight me. I don't get it. "

David stares at Alice after she asks the question before he starts to painfully chuckle. He grins before quietly talking.

" You are superior to me in every way. You're faster. Stronger. And your ability outclasses mine tenfold. But, you're out of your damn mind if you think, I'll admit defeat without trying. "

David's eyes regain determination as he tightly grips his blade and slashes the knife at Alice. Alice's eyes track the blade before she grins and disappears. David starts to glance around before feeling something touch his back. 

Alice floats behind the falling David with her back facing him. She takes a deep breath and lets out a grin.

" I was right about you. You are insanely inspiring, and I'm glad you're not done. I wasn't finished fighting either. " 

Said Alice holding her hand over her head. The wind starts to swirl around her palm as a wind ball forms in her palm. David throws a backhand at Alice but Alice disappears and reappears above David.

" Hey, I won't pull back any attacks David. There's still around 27 minutes left in the exam. Try your hardest to survive them. "...
