The school lunch bell rang. Adrianne stared at the door, bored. The students on the other hand quickly arranged their belongings. The rest of them left the classroom to go to the canteen and eat there. While other students wanted to go back to their designated rooms.

When Adrianne was already in the mood to stand up, she gathered all her things and left the classroom with Irene following her steps. She couldn't help but sigh in secret, she thought that the first official day of class will be fun. But it's the other way around.

"Try the food they're giving, Abigail. Shrimp tempura and fried cutlet!" Irene commented as she picked up the plate placed on the table.

"You know, we used to only eat these kinds of food in restaurants, and then it's not really often. I'm jealous of you because I heard that your family was rich. My Father usually spends most of his time at work just to provide for us." Irene uttered, as they look for a table.

Sitting down, Adrianne suddenly saw Aella and Mady walking in their direction with a companion, she had never met ever since they got here.

"Abigail, how's your class?" Mady greeted her.

"Aish! Do you know that the kids in our classroom were annoying? They keep making fun of us because we're from the outside world!" Followed by Aella, who was unusually talkative this day.

Adrianne ignored the two children near her table. Her attention was focused on the person together with them. The man caught her attention.

That's the only time Adrianne was able to roam her eyes freely to look at the man with caution. The boy was silent, his face was showing not showing any traces of expression. None of them were talking to him. It was as if the boy couldn't hear anything and could not see a thing.

Adrianne saw the dirt on the back of the boy's uniform. If she's not mistaken, it was from a shoe mark. She was suddenly curious about what had happened to the boy this morning. Did he get in a fight? But she was sure that the child was not from the modern world. The guy was born and raised here in Quirenne.

"Hey Abigail, did you have a crush on Darius?" Irene suddenly whispered to her, not realizing that the girl was already looking at her.

"What?" Adrianne's brows turned on a straight line hearing such a nonsense question.

"Because you keep looking at him," Irene smiled teasingly as the two other girls now sat in front of them.

Adrianne frowned at what she heard. What? A crush? Her body was too young for that. Even though her original age was 200 years old when she died.

And a crush? That's just a distraction. She was here to make the people who caused her death in the past, pay.

Adrianne quickly became accustomed to her student life. She was happy with what the teachers were teaching them the second day. She just needed adjustments because there were still a lot of things she didn't know. But thanks to the help of the books around the library, she can easily find and read about those things.

After their PE class in the afternoon, they went back to their classroom to pick up the books they need to read the whole week. Before leaving the room, Mrs. Belva reminded them that there will be an announcement to be made tomorrow.

Adrianne was in the waiting area with Irene. They were waiting for both Aella and Mady when of a sudden she saw Darius, the man from yesterday. Darius was together with three men who were obviously older than them. They seem to be vampires who were studying in the Academia for years already.

She looked closely at Darius's face that was no different than before. The man still looks like a walking statue. He still doesn't care about what was happening in his surroundings.

Adrianne didn't know if she would help him or not. It's obvious that the three men were up to no good.

"Abigail, where are you going?" Irene shouted as she chased Adrianne, who suddenly stood up from her seat and ran.

"On the bathroom" Adrianne answered with annoyance evident in her voice.

"Wait Abi—" Irene stopped when her friend already ran away. 'The bathroom was on the other side... Did she forget about it already?' She thought to herself.

Adrianne turned to where the three men together with Darius had gone. They stopped next to a closed location. She saw a man take the wallet out of Darius's pocket. While the man still had no reaction to what was happening.

"Just this?" the man in the middle asked, mocking the young boy.

"Let him go already, Rom. That money was already enough for later."

"Bro, does that young boy have a mental problem?" The other man asked, pointing his fingers towards Darius who was silently looking at them.

"Maybe. No matter what you do, he won't complain. Maybe even if we sell him, he won't go away," laughed the man holding Darius's wallet. After getting the money, the man threw the wallet at the child's feet.

"Come on, Jessica's been waiting for a while. She'll be angry at us again when we're late."

On the other hand, Adrianne watched the whole incident. She really felt something was wrong with Mady and Aella's classmate. When the three men left, Darius picked up the wallet, placing it back in his pocket. The man then walked away as if nothing had happened.
