Valac stood in the center of the Jedi Council chambers, surrounded by the members of the newly-formed New Jedi Order. He had called them all together to discuss a matter of great importance - the hunt for a group of Dark Jedi who had been causing chaos across the galaxy.
Valac addressed the room, his voice ringing out with authority. "My fellow Jedi, we have a grave task before us. We must track down the group of Dark Jedi who have been wreaking havoc across the galaxy. They must be stopped before they cause any more damage."
The members of the council nodded in agreement, their faces solemn. Valac continued. "Our sources have told us that they are hiding on the planet of Dantooine. I have chosen a team to lead the mission - Kira, along with myself, will be in charge of the operation."
Kira stood up from her seat, a determined look on her face. "I won't let you down, Master Valac. We will capture these Dark Jedi and bring them to justice."
Valac nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "I have every faith in you, Kira. You have shown great promise in your training, and I believe you are ready for this challenge."
The other members of the council began to murmur amongst themselves, discussing the best way to approach the mission. Valac raised his hand, silencing the room. "I have a plan. We will split into two teams - one to search the planet's surface, and the other to investigate the old abandoned Jedi temple that lies hidden in the mountains."
Kira nodded, her mind already racing with the possibilities. "I will take the team to search the temple. We will need to be careful - the Dark Jedi are likely to have set traps for us."
Valac turned to the other members of the council. "The rest of you will join me in the search of the planet's surface. We will rendezvous at the temple once we have secured the area."
With a final nod, Valac dismissed the council, and Kira and her team began to prepare for their mission.
As they made their way to the planet's surface, Kira could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She had trained for years for this moment, and she knew that the fate of the galaxy rested on her success. She looked around at her team - a group of young Jedi, all eager to prove themselves.
"Remember," she said, her voice steady. "We are the hope of the galaxy. We must succeed, no matter the cost."
With those words, they set off into the wilderness, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead.
