Earth?!

Mana is everything. Especially in times where the strong eats the weak and so on. Only those with higher levels and higher Mana would they live a comfortable life.

Sylvie felt off in the middle of Link's fight. She started to sweat as she watched Link's gaze fall upon her once in a while.

Even though she felt sick with chills running down her spine, but that was not a cause for her to worry or think that something was wrong. She just tossed it to Link's intimidating presence and probably hatred towards her.

As her father was dealing with Link, offering him the military maps, Sylvie only followed, glaring daggers at Link, knowing full well she can't do anything to him now, while at the same time her actions caused her father bow and belittle himself to some random adventurer.

The uncomfortable feeling stopped a while ago, and as Link was about to depart, she did not care and tried to activate a skill in an attempt to attack him. Unfortunately, she was met with resistance.

"What's happening?" She thought, seeing Link vanishing, her anger rose as she pushed herself.

Nothing..

It did not take her long before she understood. "My mana!" She muttered to herself, as it hit her.

***

<How did you do it?>

Link laughed as he started explaining.

"I didn't think i would be able to do it, but i thought i'd give it a try" He said "When i remember what happened the first time i did something like this, i thought i'd simulate what i felt at the time and give it a try.

Back then, i felt anger and frustration. I thought at the time that my powers were gone and i lost all my chances in returning home, so i tried my best to simulate the same situation again.

I limited my powers, and with her lies and that knight's inability to listen, i was annoyed and angry.

It took a while, and it was not as effective as back then, taking millions from him.

The difference between her and that monster is wide, but i started somehow sucking away her mana in the 100s. Slowly chipping away at it.

I needed to keep her in my sight, or at least focus on her. Making it hard to fight at the same time, but i managed"

<Does that mean you can take anyone's mana now? isn't this too overpowered?>

"I do not think that is the case" Link said "Like with that man. If the person i'm targeting is within a certain level, they'd notice and try to stop me, plus my guard would be slightly down at the time as well, so probably the same thing would happen again, but there won't be someone to save my life the next time"

<I understand, but you can still do it after winning? knocking them out and taking everything>

"That is a good idea, but most fights with high level mages always end up in the other party dead, since you can't hold back or you'll pay the price"

Like ran through a wooded area, ignoring all the beasts that he saw. They were mostly Level 2 or 3, which are useless to him by now.

According to the maps he received, the next city is a bit far, but it is his only choice.

Link would sometimes get bored and bring his dagger out, slashing at creatures as he passed, doing a medieval drive by.

Of course, he did not forget about dungeons, as he kept activating the search skill while running, still failing to find any, or when he did they were all low level trash that would not provide any benefits.

On his journey, Link saw all types of beasts and plants. He collected what was deemed useful while ignoring the rest. He's inventory was filling with herbs and beast materials that would probably not have much value, but what can one do when bored?

On his second day of traveling, a message appeared that revived his dead and bored eyes.

<Dungeon Detected>

<User's Level Too Low>

<Enter Regardless? Yes / No>

Link quickly confirmed and was teleported.

He cared little about his level, as he knew full well that his actual combat prowess was far above his own level. Making him confident, but not too confident as to stupidly jump into danger.

The moment he appeared again, Link started looking around, trying to figure out what theme this dungeon would have.

That was what he called it. Theme. As every time he entered a dungeon, it would be one that was filled with undead, or one with fire type beasts or something else. So he would usually check his surroundings whenever he entered one, taking notes of what skills he'll be using and so on.

"What the hell is this place?" He muttered, seeing an oddly modern looking walls and lamps. Streets and houses freakishly similar to earth. Link started turning left and right, looking at the all too familiar but oddly nostalgic sight.

A series of houses filled both sides with street lamps the only source of light. Link looked up, seeing stars with a single moon.

"I'm definitely on earth" He said cheerfully.

<Wake up you idiot> Hearing Zero scream in his ear, startled Link <This is a dungeon, don't drop your guard>

Link sighed, looking at the tall buildings in the distance, but Zero's words made him realize something. "It's dark!" He said, finding no actual building with its lights on. "Aren't the dungeons i find in that world belong to it? Why is this one's theme like this?" He questioned, confused.

ROAR!!

A loud and earth shaking roar broke windows all over. The wave passed through the buildings and reached Link, making him cover his ears.

"What the fuck was that?" He wondered.

<I don't think dungeons are connected to a specific place Link> Zero said <Remember the plant type dungeon we fought in? Where you got that Queen of thorns beast soul?>

"Yeah, what of it?"

<There is no creature or type of beast with plant type elements. That place made me think about this theory a bit, but now this confirmed it>

"So this is dungeon that exists on earth?" Link said. "Does that mean if we can break this open we'll be back home?"

<I don't think you can do that Link>

"Maybe there's a way" He said "We can try right? we found this dungeons entrance back there, maybe we'll find a way to take us straight to earth somehow, right?"

<Link, calm down. I know how you're feeling right now, but it is not time for you to return yet>

Link took a couple of deep breaths as he stomped his foot, creating a giant crater where he stood. His anger and frustration was immeasurable after seeing his old world like this, but be forced to leave again.

ROAR!

The beast from before roared again, as loud and heavy footsteps started making their way to Link's direction.

<You made too much noise, run quickly, i think its a boss creature> Zero warned <Your level is too low for this dungeon, you can't risk it>

The head of what looked like a one eyed ogre peeked at Link from behind one of the houses. Its eye was black, while its skin was grey. Its mouth and teeth were covered in blood while its long and dirty nails broke the roof of the house as it started tearing into it, creating a way to Link.

<RUN NOW>

Link looked at the creature and spoke. "I'm not running"

Boom!!

The ogre broke through the house and started running towards him, its arm stretched back as it punched in his direction.

Black smoke appeared around Link, as his eyes shone.

WOSH!

Link vanished from his spot, appearing in front of the ogre's eye.

"HEAVY STRIKE!!" he yelled as over 15 Million Mana points vanished, punching the creature with all he had.

BOOOMMM!!!

It looked like the end of the world, as a giant path was created through the buildings and houses, leaving nothing behind.

The clouds and smoke quickly dispersed, as rain of blood started pouring onto the now destroyed city.

<Link?>

A figure stood, black aura circling him with his arm gone. His face and eyes slowly took shape into what looked like a demon.

His eyes were completely back, leaving no more space. The veins were colored black, making their pathways easily seen.

A dark and huge figure stood behind Link, towering over him with menacing features. It looked like a grim reaper with its hood and glowing red eyes peeking from the darkness.
