Master Mage!

Loud sounds of footsteps echoed throughout the Dungeon. Ogres of all sizes started showing up from the distance as they towered over the buildings.

Link stood there, taking deep breaths. He cast Holy Nova on himself, where his arm started to regenerate slowly as the muscle tissue, bone and skin formed out of thin air.

Grabbing Mana potion after the other, Link kept refiling his Mana bar as he cast Heavy Strike over and over again.

Zero muttered with worry as she saw what was happening. Link was in pain, both physically and mentally as he killed one ogre after the other.

He used 5 Million Mana points for each one, beheading them with fluent swings as he teleported all over the city.

Link stood in the middle of the destruction and corpses. He took rapid and constant deep breaths as his face had the hint of the color blue. His Mana slowly faded as he sat down on the ground, still panting.

<It's the after effect of the Mana Potions>

Mana potions were a Mage's best friend. But when consumed constantly and in great quantities. Instead of sending the Mana straight to the mage's core, some would roam inside the body by themselves after the Mana channels become weakened. Unable to keep it at bay. It would cause pain for the unlucky user until it fades.

Link felt an uncomfortable and nauseating feeling all over his body, but he ignored it as he added 3 of his Status points into agility, closing a neat 35, and the last point was added into strength.

As the timer kept going down, Link maxed out his new fly skill, dropping the Mana consumption to 100 MP/s and cast the skill, making his body hover in the air slowly.

The feeling was strange but familiar at the same time. Link felt like he was in water. He focused his attention to where he wished to fly and his body flew in the direction.

"This needs some getting used to" He muttered in a low and hoarse voice as he flew over the city. "I swear I'll be back" He spoke.

He flew over the buildings, finding that he was unable to recognize the place. Even so, Link did not care as he looked at the closed stores and familiar housing.

Wosh!

One second, Link was in the middle of the sky looking down at the city underneath, and the next he was back to where he was before. Link sighed loudly as he continued on forward, this time he flew at a speed way faster than before, covering planes with ease.

"There it is!" He spoke after seeing a city on the horizon. Link flew towards it and dropped down in front of the gate, seeing many people awaiting their entry, he did not wish to cause any problems and thought about asking the guard a few things.

The moment Link landed, the guard ran towards him quickly bowing as he spoke in a low and respectful voice. "Master, welcome to our city" He spoke "May we assist you with anything?"

"I would like to purchase some maps and get some supplies before i head out" Link said, finding the guard's attitude interesting.

<What else did you expect? You flew down, meaning that you're at least a Level 5 mage, a master mage. People of a small city wouldn't dare disrespect you in any way>

A faint smile appeared on Link's face as he listened to the guard.

"Of course, we'll get you everything you need, all you have to do is list what you wish for and we'll bring them to you" He said as he started walking forward, gesturing for Link to follow him respectfully. "Let me show you to one of our best Inns in town, you'll find the best food and service in the whole region"

Link was satisfied with the attitude and followed the guard to the Inn. Link was impressed by the huge building and beautiful decorations. The guard led Link to a seat and went to speak with the woman behind the counter.

A few minutes later, the beautiful woman and guard came over and said.

"Welcome, master" The woman spoke "Let me lead you to your room. We've prepared the best available facilities"

The guard did not stay for long, as he left right after Link listed the items he needed.

The room Link sat inside reminded him of the hotel suits he would sometimes see in tv shows. He was quite satisfied with everything.

"This is cool" He thought.

Sleeping in a soft oversized bed, Link slept like a baby, awaking only to a light knock on the door.

Knock! Knock!

"Good morning, Master" A cute girl stood on the other side. Her hair was held in a ponytail while her attire was one of a maid. She had a smile on her face, but Link could clearly see the nervousness in her eyes.

"Why are these people treating me like some kind of god?" Link thought.

<A Level 5 mage can easily destroy a city like this without any trouble, with many other things. Master mages are greatly respected, either be it in this continent or your own>

"Sir Talon has invited you to join him for breakfast" The girl spoke after receiving no answer from Link. Her nervousness multiplied.

"Who is sir talon?" Link asked.

"He is our City lord" The girl answered "After hearing of your arrival, he made sure all the items you needed were prepared and he wished to greet you himself"

Link had no reason to refuse, plus the treatment he had been receiving since his arrival was quite satisfying.

"Alright, I'll be down in a bit. thanks" Link said before closing the door.

After the door was closed, the girl started walking away, muttering to herself.

"He's the master mage?" She said "He looks younger than me!"

"W..welcome!" A well groomed man approached Link, gesturing to a chair in front of him. "My name is Talon.. Jero Talon, pleasure to meet you Master!"

"Pleasure to meet you as well, sir talon" Link responded "My name is Link"

The conversation between the two was uninteresting. As the city lord never stopped praising Link while they ate.

"Thank you for everything, sir Talon" Link said "How much do I owe you?"

"Nonsense" Talon responded "You may count all of this as a gift from me to you, Master. I only hope that you visit us often"

The whole interaction was quite uncomfortable for Link. Unable to deal with all the flattery and praise.

If he did not hold himself, as he wished to not be rude, Link would have left a long time ago, or kicked the man's jaw off.

Like he was being chased by something, Link took all the items and maps as he quickly left the city, flying away.

"What a pain in the ass" He muttered.
