New Challenger!

Reappearing in a forest somewhere, the left side of my body felt stiff with cold, and I raised my wing, only to realise it had a heavy chunk of ice attached to it. Even with my quick blink, I still managed to get hit, which proved just how powerful Ophelia's attack was.

I twitched in annoyance. As if I wasn't already in a bad mood, it was impossible to fly until some of the ice melted.

What happened to my cute, sweet Ophelia? She had turned into a complete savage!

How could she smile while firing at me?

And what was that skill she used?

An ominous smile spread across my face. Her attacks were so powerful, she should have run out of mana by now. And yet she hadn't because of the Abyss. Its potential as a source of unlimited mana wasn't lost on me, if only it wasn't so tricky to control.

How was she doing it? I couldn't figure out why the Abyss was bending to her will, when it seemed to abhor me.
