Hunting

As I stepped out the door of my prison, I saw that on the other side of the door was a tunnel.

Examining the area before continuing, I saw that the tunnel was both straight and rather short, with another door at its end

Making my way down the tunnel, I focused on my hearing, trying to determine if there was anybody nearby. With everything being silent, except for my own breathing, the hairs all over my body stood on end.

Reaching the door, I spent a second with my ear to the door listening.

Not hearing a thing, I slowly opened the door, and peering inside I started to realize why no one had come to check on Paul.

On the other side of the door was an open, square field surrounded by high walls. In each of the four directions was a passage with three leading into what I guessed to be the inside of the church, and the fourth passage was where I just came from.

What caused me to pause in confusion was that the mangled corpses of three men in priest clothing lay in the middle of the lush field.

Growing curious, I walked over to the corpses and examined them.

Crouching down, I noticed that there were parts missing from each body. Not only that, but from their twisted faces and mangled spines, it seemed someone had fun while killing them.

"Hmm... Welp, fewer people I need to kill!"

Over the years I had built up the strange habit of talking to myself when I was alone, and it was one thing that seemed to help keep me relatively sane.

As I gazed at the bodies I got an idea. Finding the body with the least amount of damage, I took off its bloody robe and put it on myself.

Going a step further, I took out my knife and used it to cut my knee-length hair down.

From far away I would just look like a wandering priest, and with the black color of the robe, it would be hard to see all the blood on it.

"Now, which way do I go?"

Pondering where to go, I believed there was only one way to decide.

Closing my eyes, I spun in a circle until I was dizzy, and then pointed forward.

Opening my eyes, I saw that I was facing the left passage from where I had come from.

Having decided on my path, I started walking down the passage while humming an old tune I knew.

It was while I was strolling down the passage, that I remembered my days in Eden, with me playing and relaxing with all the animals. I remembered my wife Eve, and all the years we had spent together. And I remembered the daily strolls I had with God.

But, as the good memories came, so did the bad ones. The memories after my banishment for listening to that snake.

I remembered the same animals who were my companions before, became my enemies after. I remembered the wife who helped me through hard times, and was my emotional support, now gone. And I remembered the disappointed look of God.

As each memory flashed in my mind, a deep, sinister, chuckle started to seep from my lips, and the urges I held in for all these years pushed free.

I stopped thinking of this as just killing the worshipers of Asurath, and started to think of it as a hunt.

"I wonder, how many will die today?"

I pulled all my experience from hunting the animals I once loved, I sharpened my focus to the limit.

Walking down the hall, I found my first prey.

Sitting in a praying position in front of a black, stone statue was a bald young man.

Seeing his back turned to me, I slowed my breathing down and started to create a steady walking pace. With each step I took, I lifted my feet just barely off the ground and strolled forward.

As I got closer to the kneeling priest, I slowly slid the bricks from my forearms to my hands and planned out my attack if I was noticed.

Reaching behind the priest, I spread both arms out wide, as if I was going to give the man a big hug, and then slammed them both together in a clapping motion.

Right before my hands slammed together, it seemed the priest sensed someone behind him and started to turn to check. But, by then it was already too late.

Watching as the bricks caved in both sides of the man's skull, I felt bubbling laughter erupt out of me as I didn't stop at just a quick kill, I continued to bash until all that remained of his head was a red mush with white shards sticking out.

"Ahh, now that, brings such a smile to my face!"

Feeling refreshed, I got up and continued on my hunt with a joyful smile.

Finding doors as I was walking down the hall, I made sure to check each one.

By the time I had reached a crossroads in the passage, I had caught nine priests unsuspecting, and alone.

Each one I killed in the quickest and most painful way. From crushing the skulls to piercing their brains through their eyes with my knife, I released my trapped frustrations.

Gazing at the crossroads, I was trying to decide which way to go, when I heard low murmurs from the left.

Slowly sneaking down the left hall, I reached a pair of large double doors that was cracked open.

Peaking inside, I saw ten to twenty men and women, all of them naked, thrusting and smashing into each other behaving like animals.

Peering at all the unsuspecting bodies, my whole body started to shake, and I unraveled part of the chains on each arm.

Kicking the doors in, I didn't give any of the people a chance, whirling the chains around as hard and fast as I could, the room then turned into a tornado of blood and body parts, and in the middle of this tornado stood me joyfully laughing.

Standing in the middle of the room covered in blood, and shaking with excitement, I saw that some of the body parts seemed half-transformed and that there was a shrine of sorts in the back of the room.

Figuring that this was some sort of twisted worship room, I became even happier.

"I NEED MORE, SO MUCH MORE!"

Feeling drunk from all the blood around me, I ran further into the church. No longer caring about stealth, my laughter rang out as I searched for more people to kill.

The roses are red

My balls are blue

The devil stopped me from coming for you.
