Sports Festival Part 2: Meeting an old friend and the Survival of the King.

[Third person POV]

After the first round of the sports festival, there was allot of controversy because of its winner. A quirkless student managed to surpass a class full of people with quirks, not only that but it was also a smashing win, he won with ease and without trouble, this of course received different reactions from different audiences.

"So, he doesn't give a crap about this fake hero system huh? It seems like a true hero will be born soon." Said a tall man with bandages and without nose.

"My, my Kobayashi-kun, it seems like you really didn't disappoint me, I'll admit, after hearing how you momentarily defeated a nomu I believed it was a lie, but now, I don't have the slightest doubt, you are picking my interest even more." Said a man in a throne room surrounded by riches of all kind.

"Gyahahahahaha, Brat so that's how you use your swords, I hope you are taking care of them, if not, I'll go there and smack some sense into ya!" said a small muscular old man in a smithy.

"Thank you, God, for blessing my son with immense talent." Said Kobayashi Kaia.

'So, this is how high you have reached? I wished I could be with you.' Thought a man in a business suit.

"Magnificent! Its even better than what was in Kurogiri's report, he is a diamond among pebbles, imagine what would happen…if he becomes a nomu?" said a tall man with a wicked smile.

"Kobayashi Kaito! Kobayashi Kaito! I'll turn you into dust!" said a pale teenager.

"Tch! It seems like there are still some quirkless scum that think that they can surpass us, eh? Well, your days are counted Kobayashi Kaito." Said a man with a large nose.

[At the sports festival]

Everyone was cheering at the winners of the first part of the sports festival. Some were surprised that Kaito got the 1st place and cheered him, others, despised him.

"Oi, Kai-kun!" Yelled a pick-haired girl.

"Huh?" Kaito looks back and sees his old friend Mei Hatsume

"Mei-chan, it's been so long!" Kaito rushed at Mei.

"YAY, YAY, YAY, YAY!" They start high-fiving in different positions.

"I heard you entered UA, why didn't you visit me?" Asked Mei.

"I should be the one to ask that question."

"Huh? I'm a girl, of course you should be the one to see if I was ok."

"And here I thought you knew me better than that, I am a person who is extremely lazy for those kinds of formalities!"

"Eh? No wonder you never get a girlfriend."

"At least I'm not so alone that I had to make one."

"H-how did you know? That was a long time ago." Mei whispers.

"I hacked into your house to finish the prototype 23 and saw your little 'project'." Kaito whispered back.

"If you ever tell anyone I'll ban you from my store."

"Fine I get it."

"Um, Kaito-san. Who is her?" Asked Midoriya who finally regained his breath.

"Huh? she is my old friend Mei Hatsume."

"Oh? Aren't you going to present them?"

"Ugh, do I have to?"

"If you dont then I'll talk about your dark past." Said Mei with an evil grinn.

"Ok, since you are here, I'll present you, my friends." Kaito tried to switch the subject and started to present his friends.

"He is Yuga Aoyama; he likes to shine more than everyone else and has a French complex."

"Oui!" Aoyama posed.

"She is Mina Ashido; she is very social and friendly. You should talk sometime."

"Hiya!" Mina greeted.

"She is Tsuyu Asui; she's friendly and comprehensive."

"Ribbit." Tsuyu waved her hand.

"He is Tenya Ida; he acts like a robot so you might like him."

"What's that suppose to mean." Said Iida doing his robotic movements.

"She is Ochaco Uraraka; she like money and is a good friend."

"Kobayashi-kun you could've skipped that part, and that's not entirely true." Ochaco scratched her head and was red from embarrassment.

"He is Mashirao Ojiro; he is a plain guy, except for the tail of course, and is a good friend."

"The plain part was not necessary." Said Ojiro while drawing circles in the ground.

"He is Denki Kaminari; he is kind of a lame but overall, a nice friend."

"What do you mean 'kind of lame'?" Asked Kaminari.

"He is Eijiro Kirishima; he is a guy that likes 'manliness', BTW I don't know if he swings that way."

"Oi! I like girls, that and manliness are two different things!" Said an angry Kirishima.

"He is Rikido Sato; he likes to bake."

"Could've been worse." Said Sato.

"He is Mezo Shoji; he is tall, strong and a minimalist."

"How do you know that last part?" asked Shoji confused.

"She is Kyoka Jiro; she likes music and is kind of a tombo…" before Kaito could finish and Earphone Jack was aimed at him but he dodged.

"Tomboy, also has short temper." Kaito finished.

"I'm not a tomboy Kobayashi!" Said Jiro angry.

"He is Hanta Sero; he is a good guy and easy to interact with."

"For a second I thought he would say something weird." Said in relief Sero.

"He is Fumikage Tokoyami; he is a constant patient of the 8th grade syndrome, and unfortunately there is no cure." Kato faked some tears.

"Disappear wrapped in the flames of darkness." Tokoyami whispers.

"See?" Kaito did heard him.

"He is Shoto Todoroki; he has daddy issues and dislikes me for some reason."

Todoroki glared furiously at Kaito with but then calms down.

"She is Toru Hagakure; despite being invisible she is quite social and friendly, truly a good friend."

"Aw, thanks." Hagakure thanked.

"He is Katsuki Bakugo; He doesn't like me but I bet its because he is jealous of how awesome I am."

"YOU WANT ME TO KILL YOU NERD!"

"He is Izuku Midoriya; my best friend and rival to be the #1 hero…"

Midoriya was happy that Kaito held him in such high-esteem.

"…. but he has a self-damaging quirk and low self-esteem so…that will take a while."

Midoriya gets pale and cries a little.

"He is Minoru Mineta; He is a pervert, don't let him get near you or you will regret it."

"Oi! Don't screw my chances shithead!" Mineta said enraged of seeing Kaito having such a well-developed friend.

"Finally, we have Momo Yaoyorozu; she is smart and well-mannered, however, living among the high-class makes her clumsy when it comes to money and stuff."

"I'm not that clumsy." Momo pouted.

"And of course, ME! The charming freshmen that will get the 1st place!" Kaito made a pose like Leon from pokemon.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Mei Hatsume student of the department of support from Class 1-H. I develop all kinds of gadgets."

"SO, Hatsume-san how did you met Kaito-san?" asked Yaoyorozu.

"Well, I met him when he went to I-ISLAND, he entered my parent's shop with some blueprints, since then we make some babies together."

Everyone blushes and try to believe that they heard wrong.

"She means gadgets, and Mei, I told you to stop calling them that, seriously, one of these days you'll drag my name through the ground because of that." Said a pissed Kaito.

"Aww, but they are my sweet babies."

"NOT THE SAME!" Said Kaito.

'If the 2nd event is taking this long, it must mean that what I supposed would happen did happen, good.' Thought Kaito with a smirk.

[In the principal office]

"So, you want Kobayashi Kaito to lose the next round?" Asked Nezu.

"Not at all! The thing is that having a contestant such as Kaito can bring bad reputation to UA and as such I believe that he should lose to not stain the good name of this institution." Said a business man.

"Oh, I see. All right, I approve that."

"Seriously!? I mean, thank you principal Nezu."

The man leaves the office and Nezu starts drinking some tea.

'All of you are so foolish and predictable, Kobayashi-kun won that bet he made with me, so I guess that I'll have to keep my end of the deal.' Nezu takes a sip at his tea and takes out a big paper document with a list of what is inside of Nezuko.

Nezu takes a stamp and imprints the word "approved" at the list.

'Best of luck Kobayashi-kun, I know that you'll surprise everyone.' Nezu smiles and finishes his tea.

[Back in the stadium]

"All right everyone! The next event has been decided!" announced Midnight.

"For the next event the students will be participating in…Hunt the king!"

The crowd cheered.

"Now for the rules: in a brief moment the teacher Cementoss will come here and make a maze, the students will be given the badges, said badges will be worth points according to the position the students finished the race, everyone can make teams to win, the teams have to be decided in this next 15 minutes, and now, the 1st place of the race is granted…1,000,000 points!"

Kaito was picking his nose when everyone looked at him.

"What? Do you guys want to eat it?" Kaito took out the booger from his nose and pointed at them.

"NO, YOU IDIOT!" Yelled almost everyone.

"Continuing with the rules, you cannot leave the maze, you cannot injure the other students, the total of points is the total of the team not individually and finally, the one with one million points cannot join a team."

"Wait! Isn't that unfair?" asked Tsuyu.

"Of course, if the king loses his badge he can join a team mid-game, and whoever gets the king's badge will have to leave its team, this is a way to work on your improvisation skills and to work with others for a goal." Midnight tried to make it believable.

This was the so-called plan to make Kaito lose, after getting overwhelmed with the rest of participants, he will lose the badge and no one would accept him in their teams, however Kaito thought otherwise.

'So it began, thanks principal Nezu for letting me do this my way.' Thought Kaito.

(4 Days ago)

"A bet?" said Nezu.

"About what?"

"About whether some quirkist with connections will try to force you to make me lose." Kaito said and ate some cheese.

"That's mine. But focusing on the bet. Are you sure that you will win the 1st phase?"

"Of course, I'm not overestimating my abilities or underestimating the ones of my classmates, however, I know for a fact that I will win."

"So, let us assume that you do win the bet, what is your condition?"

"Approve this document."

Kaito takes out a big document and gives it to Nezu.

"This is currently everything inside Nezuko, by signing this, you are allowing me to use Nezuko and every object in the list."

"And what if you don't win the first round and a quirkist doesn't appear?"

"I'll give UA the rights to use my 'Breathing Techniques'."

Kaito's words made Nezu flinch but then he went back to his calm self.

"I see; indeed, your techniques are amazing, hum, very well you got yourself a deal."

"I'll be seeing you Principal."

Kaito leaves the room.

"I don't know why I make bets that I know that I will lose. That kid's insight is amazing, he even knows my nature and knows that I wouldn't let the quirkist get away with this, still it is fun to play along so, I'll leave this to you Kobayashi-kun." Nezu smiles and munches some cheese.

(Back to the present)

"Midnight-sensei!" called Kaito.

"Yes?"

"Can I change weapons for this competition?"

"Sure."

Kaito claps his hands and calls for Nezuko, Nezuko appears and Kaito grabs her, and puts his swords inside. He then pulls out two small Tambos.

Everyone wondered why he would get rid of his stronger weapons, and others were relieved that they won't be getting slashed.

"The 15 minutes begins now!" Midnight declares and a timer starts.

"Oi, Midoriya!" Kaito called and Midoriya looks at him.

"Remember to not overexert yourself, even if you have the basics of my technique, it will still take a toll on your body, ok?"

"Right!"

"Man, it must suck to be you right now." Mineta said.

"Don't worry my small stature friend, I know exactly how to survive this round."

"Ribbit? Did you foresee this?" Tsuyu asked.

"Nope, just planned ahead."

"But still, isn't this a bit unfair?" Mina.

"It doesn't matter if its unfair or not, I am being tested and you guys are going to fight me, so either aim for the top or get lost, I'll meet you guys in the 3rd round."

With that Kaito sat down and waited for the time to be over, the king's game.
