Sports Festival Part: 1.

[Third person POV]

"Hey-o! Make some noise, all you rabid sports fans! Get those cameras prepped, media hordes! This year, we're bringing you some of the hottest performances in UA's festival history, guaranteed! I've only got one question before we start this show: Are you ready? Let me hear ya scream as our students make their way to the main stage!" Yelled Present-Mic.

The audience went bonkers after class 1-A entered stage and started cheering. Everyone but a small group of people.

"Welcome to the UA Sports Festival! Where up-and-coming heroes leave everything on the field as they fight for the chance to achieve worldwide fame and celebrity! This first group are no strangers to the spotlight! You know them for withstanding a villain attack, they're the dazzling students lighting up your TVs with solid-gold skills. That's right! It's The hero course students of Class 1-A!"

"I am your presenter Present-Mic, and my assistant is Mummy-man here."

"You forced me to come here." Said Aizawa with a sleepy face.

"Wow, I never expected there to be so many people." Mina.

"Look at the size of this stadium, did you honestly believed an event this big would be small?" Kaito.

"Meanie." Mina pouted.

"Still all of this makes me kinda nervous, what about you Bakugo?" Kirishima.

"Nope, it only makes me more excited."

"Pervert." Kaito said.

"Oh, go fuck yourself!"

"They haven't been getting nearly as much screentime, but this next group is still chock full of talent! Welcome, hero course Class 1-B! Next up, general studies classes C, D, and E! Support classes F, G, and H! And finally, the business classes I, J, and K! Give it up for all of UA's first-year contestants!" Present-Mic.

"Now, the introductory speech!" Midnight entered the stage and spoke.

"Whoa! this year's chief umpire for the first years is the R-Rated Hero, Midnight!" Kaminari.

"Amazing." Jiro.

"Seriously, the other years don't know what they're missing." Ojiro.

"Uh, someone should talk to Ms. Midnight about what she's wearing." Midoriya.

"Yeah. That costume should come with a warning." Kaito.

"Is that really appropriate apparel for a high school game?" Iida.

"YES!" Mineta.

"Silence, everyone!" Ordered Midnight. "And for the student pledge, we have Kobayashi Kaito!"

"Is that the one?"

"Yes, the student without a quirk."

"Humph, he must've cheated to get into the hero course."

Kaito ignored the whispers from the audience and other classes and went on stage. When he was about to speak, an egg was thrown to his face and splattered, the action was repeated until some UA staff took down the haters.

"Why are you stopping us! He's just a quirkless bastard! He deserves to die!" the quirkist said.

Everyone in class 1-A wanted to rush and aid Kaito but he raised his fist and the air and then took the microphone.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Kaito started to laugh.

"Look everyone I'm covered in eggs, isn't that funny? HAHAHAHA!" Kaito kept laughing.

"Good to see a lively audience, my name is Kobayashi Kaito from the hero course, I'm proud of being quirkless and aim to become the #1 hero!"

Kaito declared at the public and classmates, shocking them by his impossible words.

"Don't give us that crap you quirkless scum!" a quirkist threw a knife at Kaito.

Kaito took the hit and the knife impaled itself in Kaito's shoulder, the public was at panic and the teachers immediately took down the thugs, Kaito remained immobile while smiling.

"Is that all?" Kaito spoke making the quirkist confused.

"I'm asking if that is all? You see, I don't care much what other people say about me at all, heck you could spit to my face and I would just laugh it off, I never said that I cared about what any of you say. I'll become the #1 hero, and that's final."

"However, I have heard of people that could target my class because of me, and to them I say…" Kaito unsheathed his katana and did a technique.

'Hunter Breathing Second Form: Sanjuroku Pound Ho'

Kaito created a blast of air that flew upwards, slashing the clouds in half.

"…come and get me, but mess with my friends, and I'll destroy you." Kaito said with a death glare and was oozing with killing intent, making some in the crowd and classmates to faint.

Kaito took out the knife and put a band-aid were the injury was, he then sheathed his sword and said with a smile. "Anyway, I hope we can give it our all!"

The public didn't say a word and the whole stadium was silent for a moment.

"H-hey man are you ok?" Asked Kaminari.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I?" Kaito gave the same friendly smile he gives without a trace of the killing intent he was oozing a moment ago.

"For nothing!" Kaminari was a little scared but then calmed down.

"All right! With that out of the way lets go on!" Said Midnight trying to change the mood.

"This is where you begin feeling the pain! The first fateful game of the festival! What could it be?" Midnight says and the roulette starts spinning.

"Ta-dah! So, it's gonna be an obstacle course. All classes will participate in this treacherous contest. The track is four kilometers around the outside of the stadium. I don't wanna restrain anyone, at least in this game. As long as you don't leave the course, you're free to do whatever your heart desires. Now then, take your places, contestants." Midnight finished explaining and everyone gets in position.

'Despite dressing as a pervert, she is a good teacher, I'll see if I can save her.' Thought Kaito.

The students were at the starting line waiting for the signal, everyone was there but Kaito, he was holding one of his katanas and got into a stance with the head lowered.

"What is he doing?" "I don't know, maybe he gave up?" "Must be, he doesn't have a quirk anyways." Was some gossip between students and public.

"AND BEGIN!" Present-Mic yelled starting the race.

Everyone ran through the corridor ending stuck due to how many of them were passing through.

Todoroki makes a giant iceberg to get ahead of everyone and freezes their feet's, but some students managed to avoid it.

'What are you thinking Kobayashi?' Todoroki thought.

Despite not having a great relationship with him, he knows for a fact that Kaito never gives up.

Suddenly everyone stops after hearing a sound.

*BZZZZZTT*

'Thunder Breathing First Form: Thunderclap and Flash.'

It was as if high quantities of lightning were focused in a single spot, some looked back and saw Kaito with his feet breaking the ground from pressure, and in the next instant, he was gone as fast as a lightning.

He flashes besides Todoroki and he tries to freeze him, but he was too slow and Kaito surpasses him. Todoroki felt angry and kept dashing forwards.

"AMAZING! Are you seeing this folks? Kobayashi Kaito has just surpassed the other contestants and even destroyed a robot from the robo-inferno!"

Everyone was at disbelief at Kaito's performance, Midoriya admired him and Bakugo was pissed. The rest of the competitors went and picked up the pace to not fall behind.

"Kobayashi Kaito is already in the 2nd stage of the competition, 'The Fall'. If you fall you will be immediately eliminated!"

'Now what to do? I already used Thunder Breathing, I told myself that I should limit myself to 3 breathing styles to hide the rest since Shigaraki and AFO are watching this.' Thought Kaito.

'Yosh, I'll go with this one.'

"Oh? It seems that Kobayashi is planning to do another technique!" spoke Present-Mic when he saw Kaito unsheathing his other sword.

"Aizawa-san, what can you tell us about Kobayashi's techniques?"

"From what we know, he uses some type of combination of martial arts, kendo and breathing techniques to make his body stronger, however, he is secretive about the type of training he does and refuses to teach anybody." Aizawa answered.

Kaito lost focus after hearing this and thought. 'Thanks for fucking my plans up, Aizawa-sensei!'

Kaito resume his stance and jumps upwards.

'Hunter Breathing Ninth Form: Clear Lance!'

Kaito performs a downward slash with his swords, generating a strong shockwave. The shockwave pushes him a great distance.

"HE'S FLYING!!!" Present-Mic yells.

"How is this possible, are we sure that he doesn't have a quirk!?"

"UA made all the test possible to make sure if he has a quirk or not, regardless of that, he is one of the students that have made the most effort out of the freshmen." Aizawa added.

Kaito flies out of "the fall" zone and enters the minefield, the other students are arriving to "the fall".

'Now what? Eenie, meenie, miney, moe, which one will take the last spot? Nah, lets just brute-force my way ahead.' Kaito thought.

He simply ran across the field while evading the mines, it was all his perception that allowed him to do so. Kaito dashed to the finish line.

"AND THE FIRST PLACE IS FOR…KOBAYASHI KAITO FROM CLASS 1-A!!!" Present-Mic yelled.

Kaito clapped his hands and Nezuko appeared in front of him. He then proceeds to take a microphone and hacked into the school's speakers and starts singing "Lay all your love on me" from ABBA.

While he sings the rest of the participants are rushing for the second place, at the front were Todoroki and Bakugo.

'What should I do? I don't have anything to get ahead.' Thought Midoriya.

Due to the butterfly effect, Midoriya didn't used the part of the robots, he simply evaded them.

'WAIT! I can do "that."'

(Flashback years ago.)

"Listen Midoriya, to use the breathing techniques in a consistent way, you have to make sure all of your body cells receive oxygen." Said kid Kaito.

"Osu!" answered kid Midoriya.

"Now try it."

Midoriya tries but fails and cries due to the pain in his chest area.

"Ok, ok we'll stop!" kid Kaito said.

"No! I can keep…" kid Midoriya tried to oppose but fell again.

"Midoriya…I won't teach you the breathing techniques again, I don't know if you can learn them, worst-case scenario: you could die. So, I want you to promise me to never use them again." Kid Kaito said with a saddened face.

"Ok, I promise Tochan." Midoriya said crying.

"Let's go for some ice-creams."

The duo went to the shop and ate ice-creams, but Midoriya still felt down for failing and made a promise to himself.

'When I get older, I will try again, to be as strong as you…Tochan!'

(Back to the present)

'Calm down, relax your body and let the energy go with the flow, if its too much, then regulate it with your breathing.'

'Now just like Kaito-san, lower your body, right leg at front and flexed, left leg fully stretched, gather your strength in the legs and…let it go with an EXPLOSION!'

Suddenly a green energy surrounded Midoriya and he dashed through the minefield, the bombs detonated but it didn't affect him, Midoriya bypasses both Todoroki and Bakugo but inside the hallway he stops.

'My legs, it hurts, but I have to keep going, I have to!'

Midoriya kept running and Bakugo and Todoroki were behind him, the finish line was visible and finally the 2nd place was decided.

"AND NOW FOR THE 2ND PLACE WE HAVE…IZUKU MIDORIYA FROM CLASS 1-A!" Present-Mic yelled and the audience cheered.

Midoriya was about to fall but then Kaito carried him.

"Hey, I saw what you did there, nice move greenette." Kaito complimented Midoriya who was barely conscious.

"Here, water." Kaito gave Midoriya a bottle with water and let him rest on the ground.

Todoroki looked at Kaito and then at Midoriya with determination and left. After aiding Midoriya Kaito went and sang a specific part of the song towards the contestants that were incoming.

"Don't go wasting your emotion. Lay all your love on me!" he smiles at his class, who were the complete top 20 at difference from canon.

"What an explosive conclusion, the whole class 1-A is in the highest positions, Aizawa what did you teach them?"

"I did nothing, this is the result of their efforts as a whole class. I…am proud of them." Aizawa said with a smile under his bandages.

"AIZAWA COMPLIMENTED SOMEONE, EVERYONE SAVE THAT VOICE LI-OUCH!" Present-Mic exaggerated but got kicked by the injured Aizawa.

With that series of events, the first part of the Sports Festival was over, 48 students made it to the 2nd part, and everyone from 1-A passed without any major problem. Now, what type of competition will the 2nd part be?
