Honeymoon

Ava woke up to the sound of water waves crashing against the seashore.

When they arrived last night she realized they were in the Maldives. She had once hinted that she would like to vacation in the Maldives someday and Mason picked up on it.

She rolled over to Mason's side of the bed and found it empty. She opened her eyes and found a note on the nightstand.

"You looked so peaceful while sleeping, I didn't want to wake you.

I've gone for a run.

Your husband."

Ava smiled as she rolled to the other end of the bed. They were staying in a five-star honeymoon resort that was by the beach.

She could feel the saltiness of the sea on her lips as she swiped her tongue across her lower lip.

Even if she and Mason have been married for months, she felt like they have just gotten married for the first time. Probably it was because of the vow renewal.

She felt so happy, it was as if there was a bubble of joy inside her.
