Guilty Conscience

Christmas Eve.

Layla's head was aching and it felt twice its size, her legs were shaky too as she descended the stairs.

Sarah was standing at the bottom of the stairs watching her with concern.

"Why are you doing this to yourself? It's been a week already, you need to stop brooding," Sarah said to her.

Ever since the day that Dan broke up with her, Layla has been indoors, she barely stepped out of her room and she barely ate too.

Sarah have been bugging her to come out of her bedroom and that was why she agreed to come downstairs.

Since that day, Layla has been trying to reach Dan on the phone but he refused to take her calls and neither did he reply to any of the apology texts that she sent.

After a while of bugging him with calls and text messages, Dan decided he's had enough of her disturbance and decided to block her number, he even went as far as blocking her on all social media platforms.
