AVA Part 2

Arla is now inside the temple. It is dark and near lightless. Nothing within to make a sound besides the screeches of black serpents and Arla herself.

Now that she had gone deep enough into the temple, I press a button. The button activates the moving maze feature of the temple.

On the screens, the walls, floors and ceilings shift around. New corridors and rooms are made. Arla is forced to go down one floor as the temple jumbles itself. The temple will now jumble itself into a new layout every 10 minutes.

Arla laughs at the gimmick of the temple. She says to herself, "An interesting feature of this place." She then hears the screeches of the xenomorphs resonate and echo through the temple. Arla ponders on which path to take to get to the source of the sound, before the right path.

"Using the Force can guide to your prey Arla, well done.", I say to myself. Using the Force in this manner isn't standard practice in the galaxy. Few Jedi go out of there way to track criminals. One of the few being Quinlan Vos. Jedi are too busy with diplomacy and dealing with petty disputes nowadays.

"Look Vorn, mommy is about to come across another serpent. It is hiding in the walls, near the ceiling.", I say to Vorn.

Arla stops before entering a large room with statues of Yautja and Xenomorphs. I even put in a statue of an Engineer at the end of it for kicks. She enters cautiously with a Yautja sword drawn. She doesn't move through the middle of the room. She goes to the side and moves through the Yautja statues. She stops and then stares at the other side. She can feel that her prey is among the xenomorph statues.

Arla take out a small orb. A flush charge. Named for its purpose is to flush out a target. It explodes with flashing lights and startling noise. Along with a small shockwave meant to only scare. She throws two to the other side. The explode and the xenomorph leaps out from the statues screeching.

Arla leaps at it with a sword strike to its head. The xeno spins to avoid and whips her away with its tail. Arla is thrown back, and her cloak is disrupted. She lands on her feet and looks to me unfazed by the attack. She readies her self and attacks again.

The xeno shoots the tip of its tail forward in an attempt to spear her. Arla sidesteps and cuts the tail, cleaving the tip off. The xeno reels its tail back in screeches, then whips it forward to send forth its acidic blood. Arla rolls under the blood and comes out of the roll in front of the xeno. She thrust out her sword, but finds that half the blade melted off.

"Ha, only the combi-stick is blood proof. She should not have assumed her other weapons would also be resistant.", I think aloud.

The xeno then takes a swipe realizing her attack failed. Arla catches the claw with her left hand, and sticks the remainder of the blade into hits arm. The xeno brings up its other arm for a swipe. She catches it, twist it, then brings a elbow down on it to break the arm. She then jump up and around on the xeno's back. She grabs its head and twist it around. With the broken neck, the xenomorph falls on the ground, dead.

With the kill done, Arla leaves the room through another corridor. She find a place and pulls out her shuriken. She looks at them for damage she had used them before. They were still sharp and undamaged.

I think, "You covered them in the force as you guided them in your attacks. The small film of Force around the shuriken kept the blood from damaging them. However, if the shuriken were not moving so fast, the acid would have still damaged them with enough time."

Arla is a smart woman, I'm sure she has come to the same conclusion.

She puts them away and continues the hunt. She re-cloaked and started going back to the room, but the temple began to change. The layout shifted again, and the room was gone. She was in an intersection of corridors. Which also has a hole going down another floor. She decides to go down the hole.

She reached the bottom and had only one path before her. She followed it to a chasm. On the other side, a doorway that continues the path. There is no bridge, but this matters not. Arla jumps the chasm without a problem and goes through the doorway. She then hears scurrying. She follows the noise and finds two xenos together.

Arla takes out a power disc, and throws it at them. The disc cuts through the first one, then changes direction to the other one. The xeno dodges, but Arla was expecting the dodge. She tackled it right after it dodged with her wrist blades out. She drove both into the chest as she tackled the xeno. Then she ejected them, leaving them to melt in the body. She uses one hand to push the xeno's face up and the other pulls out a knife and drives it into the neck. The xeno gurgles and dies.

The knife is pulled out, but didn't melt. Its material was blood-proof. Arla gets up and makes sure they'll both dead before calling back the power disc.

Arla then straightens up and dodges a tail attack from behind. However, she was a little slow and the tail tip went through her left bicep. It retracted and pulled her along with it, to the ledge near the ceiling. Arla throws out a shuriken and cuts the tail, letting her back down. She pulls the tail end from her arm via the entry pint. Which rips out some muscle, but prevent the acid blood from touching her flesh.

The xeno makes a downward leap at her, but Arla whips out a plasma cannon. She blast the xenomorph with a plasm shot, destroying its chest and killing it. At last, the last xeno is down.

I am a little disappointed that last xenomorph did such damage to her, but it will serve as a good learning experience. all things considered, the hunt went well.

I tell Arla through her helmet communicator, "Arla, the hunt is over. All xenomorphs have been killed by you. Come back to the starting point, so I can properly congratulate you on being blooded."

Arla responds, "On my way Bido. Arm got mangled up though."

"Don't worry about it, I can fix you up good as new. Vorn and I will be waiting.", I say.

I get up with Vorn to go the the entrance of the hunting grounds to welcome Arla.
