Pentakill: Rebirth of the Legend

Nine times to Worlds. Nine times failed before Quarterfinals. One last shot before retirement. For 28 year old Yu Pengkai, better known by his in-game name “Pentakill,” winning the Championship Cup seemed to become more of a distant reality with each passing year. From the esteemed legendary ADC in the popular MOBA game, Kings of Valor, to the player everyone wished would just retire, he carried both the former glory and the blame of it all. After a final crushing defeat, he knew he had to say goodbye. But never did he expect to find himself back where he started ten years ago, in front of a run-down PC and a lagging mouse with the newly downloaded Kings of Valor. This time, would he find himself back to claim the Championship Cup? ----- Cover: Manipulated by Photoshop but all photo credits to their original artists on Pinterest. Guide/Glossary to "Kings of Valor"

General Game Description:

- 5 players on each side

- 3 lanes plus uncharted territory in between known as the "Jungle"

- Allied "soldiers" spawn every thirty seconds

- The ultimate goal is to destroy the enemy "Castle," but to get to there, you have to get through "Towers" and "Inhibitors"

- The "Towers" will attack you if you attack an enemy champion within its range or if there are no enemy "soldiers" in its range

- Destroying "Inhibitors" will spawn "special forces," essentially allied soldiers that have higher health and attack damage

- "Inhibitors" respawn after five minutes, but destroyed "Towers" will never regenerate

- Mythical creatures spawn in the "Jungle" at given times and can be killed for extra buffs and/or gold

Player Descriptions:

- ADC (Attack Damage Carry): Player that deals high amounts of physical attack damage (AD) but has very low health. Usually plays in the bot lane along with the Support.

- Mid Laner: Usually either mages or assassins that deal high amounts of ability damage (AP).

- Top Laner: Generally the tank of the game.

- Support: Lanes with the ADC and plays more for utility purposes such as healing allies, rooting enemies, and securing map vision.

- Jungler: Roams between the uncharted territory between lanes and kills neutral camps. Usually "ganks" lanes by sneaking up to enemy laners and helping the ally laner kill them. Also secures objectives on the map.
