Preparations

The drama filming is to officially start next week. Before that, I arranged a date to gather all the actors and the team for a discussion and a script reading day. So we can start the work to go on smoothly and the filming can be finished off soon.

I had been keeping in touch with Little Moon every day while Mark and Ted had been reporting to me about her work and health. She has been doing well being occupied with work. I was feeling happy and at the same time, I miss watching her doing work.

On the day of the gathering, I had Mr.D join in the meeting.

"Everyone please gather around. I want you all to meet someone." I invited everyone for the conference room.

"I want all of you to meet our new drama production company President Mr.D."

"Hello! " everyone greeted him and I introduced each and every one of them to him.

"I am happy to get to know you all before the start of filming. I want to do a little checking on how well you have prepared for you characters." Mr.D said suddenly, taking everyone by surprise.

"Mr.D works in a different manner than we are used to. So I hope all of you can cooperate with this. I will go first Mr.D."

"Ok George, as the production manager you need to show them an example." He acknowledged me with a smile.

The whole session took about two hours. And Mr.D being a very strict critic nothing went missing from the per-prep session. He gave pinpointed guidance on how to improve their characters.

"Excuse me Mr.D," asked one of the actors.

"Yes"

"I am sorry for asking you about this. But I feel you know this story very well."

I looked at Mr.D, who was smiling at the same time.

"Yes it is. I know the story pretty well. But you will all know the truth in a few months."

"Thank you Mr.D."

"George, did you contact the scriptwriter to join the script reading?"

"Yes Mr.D she's ready and I have sent her the schedule of the filming timeline as well."

"Everyone, a little heads up, you all might think I am so strict when it comes to working, but the scriptwriter who will join you will be much tougher and stricter than me. And she is a perfectionist when it comes to working."

Everyone in the room was murmuring as to who she is. And I had to say something to calm everyone down.

"What Mr.D said is true. I have met her in person. So you will have to give out your utmost best to the filming."

"When did you meet the scriptwriter?" asked the lead actress Mary.

"While on my vacation." I just said without further explanation.

"Mr.D, do you have anything else to add up?" I asked him.

"No nothing at the moment. I will get to you or Lee if I have something. Thank you everyone for your time." And he logged out as I wrapped things up at my end.

After lunch, we all get together for a set of scenes script reading. I gave them a two days break so they can get organized to travel to the filming location after that.

It was almost midnight when I got home. Ted has sent me a message that she was asleep early due to a headache. She seems to be overworking herself.

"Ted"

"Hi Brother Geo, how are things?"

"Everything is going as planned at the moment Ted. How's your sis?"

"She's asleep. She got a parcel of tropical fruit and she forgot she's allergic to some."

"So that's why she got a headache?"

"Hmm.. seems like it. Don't worry brother. I will let her sleep tonight and if she is still feeling ill I will take her to a doctor in the morning."

"Ok Ted. And how're your studies going on?"

"It's going on well. I post ponded some outings as I cannot leave sis here. So we are planning to go on team building after you come back."

"You'll have to wait for about two months then. I will tell you what to do."

"Hmm"

"Ask Jane and Mark to stay at home with sis, while you go on the trip."

"Brother D also told me that. But I don't feel ok about it."

We chatted for a few more minutes before hanging up.

I wanted to call and check on Little Moon, but I didn't want to disturb her sleep. I also went to bed after making a rough plan for tomorrow's work.

Even though I initially planned to go out for some work, I thought of staying in today. I spend the morning hours packing the stuff needed for the shoot and my work. I asked Lee to get a separate vehicle for me and him as we will need to keep in touch with Mr.D all the time.

"HI mom"

"Were you busy yesterday, my son?"

"Yes mom. We had a script reading session and a briefing with Mr.D."

"OH... How is he doing?"

"I couldn't ask much but he looked healthy and strong. And mom, Little Moon asked me to say thank you for the stuff you sent her."

"I am so happy she got them. I know she will like those fortune cookies."

I laughed at my mom. She is spoiling her very much.

"Mom, if you are spoiling her this much how can I spoil her," I asked her jokingly.

"Oh dear, are you jealous that I love her more than you?"

"Yes mom." She laughed.

"Oh mom, I'll be heading for the filming site day after tomorrow."

"So for how long you will be away at a time, son?"

"Mostly two weeks and I will be back here for the next set of filming."

"Did you tell my little girl about it?"

"She knows already and we have made plans to review the filming on site. Hmm mom she is feeling a bit sick."

"Why what's wrong?"

"Ted said that she had eaten some fruit and that had given her a headache."

"Don't worry Geo. I will check on her tomorrow morning."

It's a relief I have my mom, who can understand her quickly. Tomorrow I have to attend a meeting to discuss collaborating with an international tech brand. Initially, I thought of declining the offer but Little Moon stated otherwise for me to rethink and collaborate with them.
