My best friend Su

The next day I had arranged to register the marriage. So we went there earlier and got it done. Finally, she's legally mine. I had been extra careful not to let any media or reporter know about us getting married till the day of the exhibition.

I told little Moon about my best friend and that I invited him to come and have lunch with us. Little Moon insisted on buying some things so we can prepare the food for lunch. After going home I helped her to prepare the meals and she wanted me to make Su's favorite dish as a treat.

She was a born multi-tasker. While she prepared the lunch she also did some baking for tea time. As if she knew Su and I had a lot to talk. When Su came in the whole house was filled with various aromas from the food being prepared.

"Smells heavenly," said Su entering the house. And he started to laugh at our faces with frosting because of our silly little game.

"Come on in. And give a second we'll wash up and come." Little Moon bowed out to get her face cleaned while I went o chat with him.

"Are you guys preparing a feast today? " he asked.

"Well it's kind of a celebration since we got our licenses today," I said to him.

"Congratulations, then I really should have bought the wine."

When Little Moon came back I introduced her to him.

"I am happy to meet Geo's Little Moon" and he want to handshake, but she went on looking at him.

"Little Moon, are you ok," I asked her giving her a hug.

"Geo, is your friend the famous pianist Wang Su?" I looked at him and her.

"Do you two know each other?"

"I am meeting her for the first time," said Su.

"I am sorry, I had been following your career since you started so I was a bit startled when I saw you in person," said Little Moon making Su startled.

"She is a little musician herself, didn't I tell you she did the basic soundtrack for the drama."

"Wait so you are the one who wrote a letter encouraging me not to give up?" Su said as if he had seen her through.

"Yes," she said.

"Hi let's sit down and talk."

We all sat down and started to talk while having tea.

"George, do you remember the accident I had a few years ago."

"The car crash?"

"Yes. my left hand got damaged and I had to go through so much physical therapy to recover."

"I was the one who accompanied you. So I can never forget what you went through."

"Do you remember me saying, that someone send me a postal handwritten letter but with no return address or acknowledging who it was?"

"The precious letter that you still keep. But what was written in it was true and it did give some courage to try harder." I said and I remember the pain he had to endure just to play one piano key after the accident. He had to do thought physical training for almost eighteen months before he could play smoothly again. The whole time this letter was the one that gave him the strength to overcome his pain.

"The person who wrote that letter is your wife," he said with a smile of appreciation and giving her the chocolates and flowers he bought.

"Thank you" was all she said and I hugged her tight while giving her a kiss as thanking her for helping my friend recover.

"May I know where you found these flowers?" she asked looking at the flowers and trying to direct the talk to another side.

"They are from my garden, do you like them," Su asked looking at her like a big brother looking at the little sister.

"Yes, I love the smell of them."

"If you like I'll ask my gardener to send you a bunch every morning when you are here."

"Thank you" she looked at him and smiled for the first time.

We guys arrange the table for lunch while giving Little Moon a break. She had prepared a matching feast that smells heavenly and mouth-watering just by looking at them. While we arranged the table she went on arranging the flowers SU got. I have to say I do really like the wildflowers he had bought.

The lunch was pleasant and we had a happy time chit-chatting and telling him bout our recent hike. We invited him to visit us at Little Moon's home when he have free time. After cleaning things out LIttle Moon went to her workroom to finish off a small sketch, while I sat down with Su and showed him the photos from the hike.

"You really do have talent. Remember you have to be my official photographer after giving up acting" he said.

"Do you think I will have time, I am the vice president and I have to manage a special media section when I start work."

"WOO... that's great. Then Let me be your first client because I want a permanent partner to do my promotions and marketing. So having you is a brownie point"

"I will have to consult the president to get the approval though."

"Then ask I think he will say a good job." he laughed.

"You, the president of the company is my wife" I really enjoyed the look on his shocked face.

After talking for a while, I asked Su about the arrangements for the reception. He said not to worry he will be there on time. And it was time for him to leave because he had to attend a rehearsal session in the evening with the orchestra.

Upon hearing this, Little Moon packed up a freshly baked goodie basket to be shared with his team. SHe bid him a safe journey and went inside. While I walked him to his car.

"George,"

"Hmm"

"You really need to treasure her. She is actually the rarest gem among others"

"I know, she is precious, no wonder everyone wants to protect her."

"I m so happy for you Geo, if you need anything, you know I am just a call away." He gave me a brotherly hug before leaving my place.
