Chapter 13

After the praise by the Number 1 Hero himself, everyone was pumped up for the Battle Trial. The first one refocusing was Tenya, who wore a costume based on Armor.

"Sensei! Regarding the performance ground, will we be using the mock City from the entrance Exam?" asked the armored Student.

"You'll see." Teased their teacher, "In fact, you are pretty close. Take a few steps further. This will be an indoor Battle Trial."

"Although Villain attacks are more often seen out in the open. Statistically, most villain attacks happen indoors." Explained their muscular teacher, "That's why this is one of the exercises important for your future as heroes."

Refocusing on the exercise their Teacher continued with his explanation, "For this scenario, you will be split into teams of Two. For a two and two battle, Hero vs Villain."

"What about Foundational Training?" asked the cute frog-like-looking girl with black hair.

"This is your foundational Training!" stated their Teacher before getting bombarded by many Questions. He had to seriously pull a paper with notes out to continue his explanation of the Scenario.

At the end of the Scenario, the Villain Team would guard the Bomb with the goal to stall the Heroes or capture them. While the Heroes had to either capture the Villains or touch the prop bomb once. The Teams and pairings will be determined through a Lottery.

"Is that really okay?" asked Tenya confused by the randomness of the Trial.

"In real Life Situations, you won't be always able to choose who you team up with, so you will have to work with whoever is close by since disaster and accidents happen randomly." Explained Izuku realizing the crux of the exercise.

"I see. Always with our eyes on the Future." Realized Tenya, "I apologize for the disruption."

"Anyway! Let's start!" shouted All Might a bit rushed which felt weird for Izuku. Their Teacher pulled out the teams which resulted in this:

Team A: Izuku Midoriya & Momo Yaoyorozu

Team B: Shoto Todoroki & Mezo Shoji

Team C: Ochako Uraraka & Kyoka Jiro

Team D: Katsuki Bakugo & Tenya Ida

Team E: Yuga Aoyama & Mina Ashido

Team F: Rikido Sato & Koji Koda

Team G: Denki Kaminari & Minoru Mineta

Team H: Fumikage Tokoyami & Tsuyu Asui

Team I: Mashirao Ojiro & Toru Hagakure

Team J: Eijiro Kirishima & Hanta Sero

"And the first pair to do combat will be," said All Might as he put his hands in two boxes each marked Villain and Hero respectively, "Team A as Heroes vs. Team D as Villains!"

'What is with my cursed Luck? Do I always have to get paired against Kacchan?' Complained Izuku mentally as he sighed while heading to his Partner, Momo, under the aggressive glare of the explosive teen who wore a bloodthirsty grin on his face.

"It seems we are working together today, Yoyorozu-san." Greeted Midoriya nodding to the tall girl.

"Nice working with you, Midoriya-san!" replied Momo, "Do you have a strategy in mind? You know Bakugo-san and Tenya-san better than me."

"Well, normally it would be best if directly focused on the Bomb. But this case will be different. Kacchan won't be working with Ilda. And will rush off solo. He will directly come for me. If we work together we can directly put him out of commission, and we will be able to easily beat Ilda 2 vs 1." Explained Izuku his simple but effective strategy.

"That sounds reasonable, but are you sure we will be able to put Bakugo-san out so easily? His Quirk is rather powerful and suited for combat?" asked the dark-haired girl unsure about the Idea.

"Yes, because we have the surprise factor on our side. I know how Bakugo fights since I know him for years, he always opens with a right hook. But he doesn't know anything about my Quirk. I developed it rather late and never showed it off." Added Izuku a bit downcast, "During the Aizawa Sensei's Quirk Apprehension test I couldn't show of the true advantage of my Quirk. I can nullify Quirls while touching my opponent similar to Aizawa-sensei."

"That should work." Nodded Momo realizing how they can overwhelm an uninformed Opponent with that strategy, "Let's do it." She agreed as All Might's voice came over the headphones signaling the start of the Trial.

As they entered the building they hadn't had to wait long until they were ambushed by Bakugo on the first floor. "Step back Yaoyorozu-san, he is after me!" said Izuku pretending to not have expected the ambush as he dodged an explosion pulling the tall girl to the side.

"Dammit Deku, don't dodge me!" cursed Bakugo while readying himself for another attack. While punching with his right fist, Izuku began to move.

He expected exactly that move, grabbing Bakugo's right Hook with his in black Miasma coated hand as he pulled the explosive teen over his shoulder, throwing him onto the ground while not letting his hand lose contact.

His Darkness spread below Bakugo submerging him a bit inside, as the gravity pressed onto the explosive teen additionally restraining him.

"Damn you Deku, why the fuck can't I create any explosions. What did you do my Quirk?" asked the explosive teen now panicking as he didn't feel his Quirk anymore.

"I erased it." Replied Izuku calmly as he presses Bakugo onto the ground. "Yaoyorozu capture him with your capture tape."

Once the Tape completely wrapped around Bakugo a few times, All Might's voice once again resounded over the communication Headphones. "Young Bakugo is captured!"

Not wasting any more time Izuku and Momo continued onto the next floor. "Are you able to create a Thermal camera with a screen?" asked Izuku.

"Yes, good thinking!" replied Momo as a colorful light shone between her chest area and a camera appeared. She promptly activated it and searched their surroundings for heat signatures.

"Above us, Midoriya-san." She said pointing at the roof slightly in front of them as Izuku saw the heat silhouette of Tenya on the Screen.

"Hmmm, I don't think he has a gas filter included in his mask. Are you able to create gas grenades filled with sleeping or paralyzing gas and some gas masks for us? And a flash bang?" asked Izuku quickly coming up with a strategy to complete their Objective as fast as possible.

"No Problem." Nodded Momo, as she created the requested items.

Once they arrived at the door where Iida was waiting for them, Izuku quickly opened the door throwing the Flashbang followed by the gas grenades. As they already had masks on their head, they followed in.

"That's dirty heroes! Your L-little trick-" tried the armored teen to say before he got knocked out by the gas after a few seconds.

"Hero Team wins. Both Villains are taken out!" announced All Might over the Headphones. "You can return Hero Team. Young Tenya will be taken to Recovery Girl by the medical bots."

"Okay, All Might-sensei." Nodded Midoriya before turning to Momo. "Good work Yaoyorozu-san."

"You too, Midoriya-san." She said with a smile as they were heading back.

~Back in the Monitor Room~

The rest of the class was already waiting for the Hero team, and a downcast Bakugo was standing at the side.

"Who can tell me who the MVP of this match was?" Asked All Might as soon as the Hero team arrived.

"I think Deku-kun was the MVP." Said Uraraka after thinking about it for a moment. An answer who also earned agreement from Momo.

"I have to agree. It was Midoriya-sans analysis and strategizing that allowed us to earn such a victory!" she explained, "He knew Bakugo-san so well that he was able to put us into an advantageous position from the start."

"Yes, in this case, Young Midoriya is the MVP." Agreed All Might. "But both young Yaoyorozu and young Iida did an excellent job and focused on the Objective."

"Let's get ready for the next Trial, Team B as Hero Team vs Team I as Villains!" announced their teacher pushing onto the next pairing.
