The next round lineups were as follows:-
Shoto Todoroki Vs Toji Yamikumo
Katsuki Bakugo Vs Yosetsu Awase
Kazuki Yagi Vs Maki Yamikumo
Momo Yaoyorozu Vs Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
Soon round 2 of the 1 on 1 battles began with Shoto Todoroki facing off against Toji Yamikumo.
Shoto summoned his flames, ready to fight, while Toji stood calmly, smirking.
Toji moved quickly, dodging Shoto's fire attacks with ease. He then used his Lag quirk to slow down Shoto's ice attacks, making them easier to avoid.
As the match carries on Shoto keeps on throwing ice projectiles and fire attacks at Toji, he keeps on teleporting from one place to another blocking all the attacks effectively.
Shoto, frustrated by Toji's agility and speed, increased the intensity of his attacks. But Toji remained unfazed, effortlessly countering each move.
As the battle progressed, Toji noticed a pattern in Shoto's attacks. He saw that Shoto relied heavily on his ice attacks, leaving himself vulnerable when using his fireside.
Toji seized the opportunity, exploiting Shoto's weakness. He kept on stalling him till signs of frostbite were visible in him, and just when he used his flame side to get rid of frostbite, Toji attacked, not giving him time to get rid of frostbite.
While also not letting him use his flame side, because if he attacked using fire, rather than using the fire to get rid of frostbite, the frostbite will spread, which would cause him to turn stiff and become an easy target for Toji.
So he had no choice but to use his fire on himself, Toji used this opportunity and kicked Shoto in the back, a fury of punches followed it, as he was brought to the edge of the ring, following which Toji kicked Shoto in his calves, followed by kicks on legs, causing Shoto to lose his footing and fall
Taken aback by Toji's strategy, Shoto struggled to maintain his balance. Despite his efforts, he found himself unable to regain balance in time as he fell outside the ring signaling his defeat.
Shoto was so focused on using his one quirk that he had no choice but to use his other which became the reason for his defeat.
The Todoroki family watched with varying reactions.
Endeavor, with a furrowed brow, analyzed where Shoto went wrong, perhaps contemplating how he could better prepare his son for future battles.
He had taken Toji's words in the cavalry battle seriously as he knew Toji, although arrogant, had enough strength and technique to back his arrogance.
He also knew Shoto was very weak in his comparison and thus he saw the whole battle and analyzed what all was used against him, so that he could focus on improving it, to prevent anything like that from happening in the future.
Rei, on the other hand, clutched her hands together in worry, her eyes fixed on Shoto's fallen form, silently praying for his safety.
Natsuo's expression tightened slightly, a flicker of concern crossing his features as he observed the intensity of the battle, he thought, 'Man that must have hurt,'
Meanwhile, Fuyumi's eyes widened in surprise as she witnessed Toji exploiting Shoto's weakness—a weakness that only she and Izuku had discussed, something no one else knew about, she kept on looking at Toji as she thought, 'It's an observation only Izuku can make, he knows something about Izuku or where he is right now, I'll have to meet him after the game.' thought Fuyumi as her determination to meet Toji deepened as she nodded to herself.
The next match was Katsuki Bakugo Vs Yosetsu Awase
Katsuki Bakugo faced off against Yosetsu Awase, as soon as the match began, Bakugo wasted no time, unleashing a relentless onslaught of explosive blasts towards Awase.
Awase, quick on his feet, used his Weld quirk to create metal reinforcements out of the debris of the ring, deflecting Bakugo's explosions with precision.
Despite Awase's defense, Bakugo pressed on, increasing the intensity of his attacks, using the frustration from all the insults Toji did in the last match.
As the battle raged on, Bakugo's explosions grew fiercer, each blast shaking the arena with explosive force. Awase struggled to keep up, his metal constructs straining against the relentless barrage.
With each explosion, Bakugo pushed himself to the limit, his determination to beat Toji up driving him forward. Sensing an opening, Bakugo launched a massive explosion, catching Awase off guard and blasting through his defenses.
Awase staggered backward, his metal constructs crumbling under the force of Bakugo's attack. Seizing the opportunity, Bakugo charged forward, delivering a powerful punch that sent Awase crashing to the ground.
There was a 15-minute break when the stadium was repaired.
As Kazuki Yagi faced off against Maki Yamikumo, the tension in the stadium was palpable. Kazuki wasted no time, immediately utilizing his telekinesis quirk to hold Maki in place, intending to assert his dominance.
However, Maki remained calm and focused, her Cursed Eye quirk ready for action. With sheer strength and determination, she effortlessly broke free from Kazuki's telekinetic grasp, surprising everyone, including Kazuki himself.
Swiftly evading Kazuki's subsequent attacks, Maki displayed her incredible reflexes and agility. With each dodge, she carefully analyzed Kazuki's fighting style, identifying his weaknesses with precision.
Sensing an opening, Maki countered Kazuki's moves with calculated strikes, her accuracy unmatched. Despite Kazuki's best efforts to regain control of the fight, he found himself unable to keep up with Maki's speed and skill.
In a critical moment, Maki delivered a well-placed roundhouse kick, throwing Kazuki off balance and momentarily incapacitating him. Seizing the opportunity, she unleashed her quirk, plunging Kazuki into a nightmarish realm of his fears and doubts.
As Kazuki struggled against the horrors of his mind, Maki landed a series of powerful blows, further weakening her opponent. With a final decisive kick, she sent Kazuki tumbling out of the ring, securing her victory in the match.
In the stands, Kaina couldn't contain her excitement, cheering loudly for Maki's impressive performance. She watched with pride as Maki demonstrated her strength and skill while using her training well, knowing that Izuku would be proud of her sister's accomplishments.
Meanwhile, Inko's expression darkened with anger and resentment, her thoughts consumed by her son's defeat. She cursed both Toji and Maki under her breath, furious at their perceived mockery of her son's abilities.
Inko clenched her fists, her eyes burning with fury as she watched Kazuki's defeat. "Unbelievable," she muttered under her breath. "To think they would make a mockery of my son like this."
Next to her, a fellow parent nodded in agreement. "It's outrageous. They should be disqualified for such disrespectful behavior."
Meanwhile, Kaina leaned forward in her seat, her eyes shining with pride as she watched Maki's victory. "Go, Maki!" she cheered, clenching her fists in excitement. "That's my sister!"
A nearby spectator overheard Kaina's enthusiasm and nodded in approval. "Impressive," they remarked. "That girl certainly knows how to fight."
As the murmurs of discontent and admiration spread through the crowd, it became clear that while some questioned the fairness of Toji and Maki's behavior, others couldn't deny the strength and skill they possessed. Despite their reservations, they couldn't help but acknowledge the undeniable talent of the young competitors.
The last battle between Momo Yaoyorozu and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu began, and Momo showcased her strategic prowess. As Tetsutetsu charged forward with his Steel quirk, Momo remained calm.
Momo had already assessed the situation by watching Tetsutetsu's battles and creating counters for him.
Momo created various gadgets and weapons with her Creation quirk, each designed to counter Tetsutetsu's steel body. With precise aim and careful planning, she launched her creations at Tetsutetsu, exploiting weaknesses in his defenses.
Despite Tetsutetsu's formidable durability, he found himself unable to withstand Momo's strategic attack. With each attack, his steel body weakened, unable to withstand the barrage of blows, and his steel body started rusting.
The gadgets were just a distraction so that Momo could release corrosive chemicals into the air, which started rusting Tetsutetsu's steel, as his defense gradually fell, while he was busy fighting distraction.
In the end, Momo's strategic thinking proved to be too much for Tetsutetsu to handle, as by the time he found out what the real attack was, it was too late, his rusted body was now filled with openings, and Momo used physical strength to break it further down.
Ultimately breaking his defense. With a final, decisive strike, she incapacitated Tetsutetsu, by throwing him out of the ring, securing her victory and advancing to the next round.
