Chapter 11 – SHIELD and HYDRA

SHIELD Headquarters.

One person was rushing towards an office. He was in a bluish-black suit with a tablet in his hands.

Many who were walking around did not understand why he was in such a hurry.

In a few minutes, he reached his destination.

The door had the name of a person, Agent Hill.

He knocked on the door and said, "Agent Hill, this is urgent."

Seconds later he heard a voice come from inside the office, "Come in."

When he entered, he saw not only Agent Hill, but also Agent Barton.

"This is better be important, if not you can say goodbye"

"Cut a slack will you Hill, he has rushed here if it is not important why would he do that, talk," Barton said.

"One of our bases was attacked, it is destroyed, it is destroyed completely" he handed over the tablet to her.

Barton and Hill became serious, this was not something to be taken lightly.

As Hill was looking into the tablet, Barton looked at him and spoke, "When did this happen?"

"10, 20 minutes ago, we have also sent reinforcements to the base but when they got there nothing was left," he replied.

"Your name?" asked Hill as she was seeing the destruction through the cameras.

"I am Agent Kent, I am in the Monitoring Team."

"Why were you not aware of this, you should have been monitoring every base that we have and should have informed the moment a strike occurred, why didn't you?" Hill's voice was cold, which made Kent sweat.

"The base's network was hacked, the cameras all were in the control of whoever did that"

"Then we would have been notified of that as well, am I wrong?"

"You are right mam, but we weren't"

"Barton, quickly go inform Fury, they should have hacked our network," said Hill as she asked Barton to go fast.

Barton quickly left the room.

Hill soon took a phone on the table and after she spoke, alarms started to ring on all the floors.

The alarm was rhythmic that allowed all the agents in the building to know that someone has hacked into the base.

She was contacted by the pirate, "Hill what is going on?"

"I am taking this as a precaution, Director Fury"

"Come to my room"

In 5 minutes, she was inside Director's Fury Room with Barton already being here.

"Barton brought me up on what happened"

"We would have got a signal from the Base even if they did not request for help. Every Airstrip base is important for us that we added a security measure that the moment anyone tried to attack be the base or the network, we will be notified if we are not then they should have hacked the network."

Hill then displayed the Base that got attacked and all that was left was destruction.

Fury was looking at the screen and he was shocked by the destruction.

There were bodies not one was intact and the monitoring was burning to no end.

Shield Agents are on the area with Hill taking control and commanding by his side.

"Sir, we were able to retrieve a video feed from one of the cars" Hill informed.

They were able to get the video feed of one of the cars that were destroyed.

"Play it," said Barton.

When all three saw what that was, Fury got up from his seat, Barton was shocked and Hill was in disbelief.

What they saw sent chills to their bodies.

The video that was retrieved was the destruction of the first car that Andrew destroyed by sending out Sword waves. It showed how the car was destroyed from the first strike. The camera started to spin and Hill slow-motioned the video to have a clear view, they saw the car, and the agents cut to pieces. The camera hit the ground and remained intact, the video became diagonal due to the camera's position but they were able to see him dodge bullets as if it was nothing and cutting down agents as if they were paper.

They did not speak for another 5 minutes before Barton broke the silence with fear in his voice he asked, "What are we going to do?"

"Hill, make sure there is only one copy of this video and put it in Level 10 Security."

"I have already done that."

They were going to continue to talk but someone knocked on the door.

Hill who was close by opened it and saw Kent.

"What is it, Kent?"

"Agent Hill, this is an encrypted file and the team was not able to decode it. Nothing was taken or destroyed, whoever hacked the network has left this behind. We were not able to copy or delete it."

Hill nodded her head and dismissed him.

Kent handed over his tablet, nodded, and went back.

"Decode the File," said Fury. He soon got a reply.

"Unsuccessful"

"I believe you know the password, Director Fury"

"What do you mean?"

"The File Name, from the jumbled Latin words, it says 'Only you can open Nicholas J. Fury'"

"Open the File"

The screen blacked out and a question was displayed.

"The beings that are able to alter themselves to look like others, 95?"

Fury was stumped, he could not believe that this will be a question. A secret that he had in his heart and only a few people know about this matter. He knew the answer but he was contemplating whether to answer it or not.

"Do you want us to leave, Director?" Barton questioned.

Fury looked at him, "No, I am trusting you both in this."

Fury answered, "Skrull"

Another Question came, "The first three letters of her friend's daughter's name?"

"Mon"

Another question came, "Your partner?"

"Phil"

The screen blacked out again, the screen distorted before the Jolly Roger symbol came, and then a mechanical voice sounded in the room, "This is recorded and I will give you 2 minutes to make this room secured, this will be deleted upon completion."

2 minutes later.

"Hello, Nicholas J. Fury. If you are wondering I am the one who destroyed your Shield's Airstrip base. You must be wondering how I was able to hack into your network and destroy the base. Now, the reason for this recording is I wanted to send you a message, an organization that is supposed to have been destroyed, Hydra, still exists. You would want proof but I don't care whether you believe it or not. You should also be thanking me as the base that I destroyed was Hydra, not Shield. The whole base can be considered as a Hydra Hideout. I don't want to drag this long, I will end this with a good note, Hydra lives as a parasite inside your Shield, better start removing them. They have already infiltrated and there are important positions they have a hold on."

The recording stopped as it was said in the video, it was deleted and there was no way they could have even retrieved it.

The room was silent.

"What do you think?" Fury's voice sounded.

Barton was the first to reply, "I don't know, all I can say is we don't want him as our enemy. I believe this information that he has given us is to show he is not against us. We can consider him friendly."

"He is right, if Hydra does exist, we need to remove them as fast as we can."

"An organization that was destroyed and now someone tells us it still exists and we made them grow inside us like a parasite." Fury felt as if he will never have peace.

"How is this even possible?" questioned Barton.

"When Shield was founded, they recruited a scientist who worked for Johann Schmidt, Arnim Zola. He should have been the one," said Fury.

Barton did not understand, "Why did they recruit him?"

"His knowledge," replied Fury.

"We need to be discreet as we don't know who to trust and who not to in this situation," said Hill.

"Alright Hill you are in this, get Coulson into this as well, I need you both to find out any detail that will let us know of Hydra agents in Shield. I want you to go through all of them do not leave a single one out, go through their history, their missions, the base that they are working on, and start with this base," Fury said as he pointed at the screen in the end.

"Barton, I need you to keep an eye on things here, if you feel any agents in the base here are acting out, I want you to keep an eye on them. If we act on the message, they have already infiltrated Shield, then the camera recording must be in their hands as well. The agents that Hill has given green, Barton, you will take them in your team and kill the ones who are given red discreetly. It's best if we kill them on missions that we send them out for." Fury started to give orders to both of them.

"What are you going to do?"

"I have to stop Project Insight, I don't know if any of the council members is Hydra or not, he did say they have a hold on important positions"

"Will you be letting Alexander Pierce know?"

"No, I am not trusting anybody right now, there are only three people I trust at this moment," as he said that he got to work, Hill and Barton did the same.

Hydra Hideout.

They just got the message that one of their Shield Hideouts was raced to the ground.

All the members in that base were Hydra and they have lost 41 of them.

"Who the Fuck is this guy?" shouted a man with a voice filled with anger.

There was the same video playing on the screen that the three in the Shield saw.

"We have no clue. I have already sent out a team to retrieve anything of significance from the base. The monitoring team did a good job of destroying the room as it had information of Hydra members in it."

"We need to find this man we need to control him or kill him."

"There is no information about him in any database, he has appeared out of nowhere. It will take too much time since we don't know where to start from."

"Is it possible to retrieve the data?"

"It should be, if they have followed the protocol, we will be able to retrieve it."

He got up from his seat and went and stood in front of the screen as there was a man in a black suit in the sky with a sword in his hand moving it and creating sword waves.

"Wake him up and send him out, I want this man on my knees, I want to kill everyone he holds dear in front of him. He has made me lose a whole base and important information that was kept in that base. Focus on retrieving the data from the base."

"I will send him. The Shield base was network was hacked as well, but it seems they did not take anything," said the man.

This man was none other than Alexander Pierce, the current leader of Hydra.

"If you find anything on him, notify me, Argo," Pierce ordered him.

"Yes, sir, Hail Hydra," said Argo.

"Hail Hydra"

Pierce started to move out of the base with him followed five Hydra bodyguards as he left the area.

"How am I going to find you?" uttered Argo.

"He has given us the green light, get the Winter Soldier ready, he has a mission," said Argo as he removed his glasses and sighed.

A few minutes later, a black-suited man with a silver left arm came inside.

"Your mission is to find anything related to him, if you find him do not kill him. Start from here, update us every week and if you get any important information let us know immediately. If you require assistance or reinforcements, you can ask for it."

After 10 minutes of seeing the video, the Winter Soldier spoke in a monotone voice, "I will let you know if I need anything."

"Good, you can go."

Andrew's Home

Andrew was in his bed looking at the details of the dungeon.

[Your task is to bring the end of the Cyrus Terror. Stop all the Pirates of The Crimson Terror and protect the Villagers on the Island. The Earlier the task is completed the better the rewards.]

"No more information about the pirates. The land will burn as they leave, the wording is specific to land, I can only hope it did not mean the whole Island. If it did, I don't think I am strong enough to complete this dungeon." Andrew thought. He then saw the other details as well.

"Earlier the better rewards, I have no idea how this is going to go" uttered Andrew. His thoughts changed to enter the dungeon and the screen in front of him changed.
