Chapter 061 Loki: Me!!

Snap, snap, snap, snap, snap!

The sound of blows landing echoed through the quiet night sky.

For a moment, Thor was stunned.

He just stood there, silently watching as his brother Loki was grabbed by the leg by the giant green figure and slammed repeatedly into the ground. The expressions on Thor's face were quite varied.

It wasn't until the green giant finally stopped that Thor snapped out of his daze.

Looking at his brother lying in a crater, Thor couldn't help but ask, "Loki, are you alright?"

Loki didn't respond—he was clearly disoriented.

Seeing this, Thor continued with concern, "You were only hit 56 times. You should be fine, right?"

Loki finally reacted.

"Thor! You just stood there watching your own brother get hit 56 times?!?" Loki yelled furiously.

Thor shrugged, helplessly replying, "It all happened so suddenly... I didn't have time to react."

Though his response sounded reasonable, the slight smile tugging at the corner of his mouth betrayed him.

Thor hadn't failed to react—he just didn't want to intervene!

"Thor!!" Loki shouted.

Right then, the Hulk, who had been standing nearby, yelled, "HULK!"

Loki fell silent immediately.

He glanced up at the Hulk, who was still watching him intently, and his eyes filled with dread.

Thor, unable to hold back any longer, grinned and said, "Loki, I've never seen you look so well-behaved."

Loki: "..."

He couldn't comprehend it. Thor was standing right next to him, larger than life, but instead of hitting Thor, the giant had gone after him!

How was that fair?

But there wasn't much time to dwell on it. The Hulk was still towering over him, and Loki didn't dare move or speak. He simply lay there, staring up in terror.

After enjoying the spectacle, Thor finally addressed the green giant. "Who are you, and why are you here?" Thor asked, gripping his hammer tightly.

Before Hulk could answer, a woman in a sleek black outfit stepped forward, answering in his place, "His name is Hulk, and he's part of the Avengers."

Thor frowned, turning to the woman. "Who are you?"

"My name is Natasha Romanoff. Your brother Loki stole the Tesseract from S.H.I.E.L.D., and he needs to return it," she replied.

"S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Thor had heard of it during his previous time on Earth.

Realizing she was also after the Tesseract, Thor's expression darkened, and he immediately retorted, "There's no way I'm letting you take the Tesseract back to S.H.I.E.L.D."

His eyes sharpened, radiating hostility.

Sensing Thor's aggression, Hulk growled, "HULK!" glaring directly at him.

"Oh, are you two working together?" Thor said, smirking. "Perfect. I've been meaning to test this big guy's strength."

With that, Thor launched his first strike, hurling his hammer at Hulk.

Hulk didn't dodge. The hammer struck him squarely on the head.

Shaking his head to clear the daze, Hulk grew even angrier. Roaring in fury, he charged at Thor with a powerful punch.

Boom!

The punch sent Thor flying.

As soon as Thor hit the ground, Hulk rushed in, stomping down on him.

Before Thor could react, Hulk followed up with another punch to his face. One hit after another—Thor was in a daze.

But just in time, Thor managed to summon his hammer back, the force of which knocked Hulk away. Finally, Thor regained some space to breathe.

He sobered up after the beating, realizing that this green giant was no ordinary opponent. But before he could strategize, Hulk charged again, and the two resumed their brawl.

The scene quickly descended into chaos.

And chaos was exactly what Loki had been waiting for.

Seeing Thor and Hulk occupied in their fight, Loki knew this was his moment.

He stopped "playing dead" and scrambled out of the crater. His plan was simple: take advantage of the distraction and get to the Supreme Mage's place to reclaim the Tesseract.

But before he could make his escape, Natasha Romanoff stepped in front of him. "Trying to run away?"

"Foolish mortal, do you think you can stop me?" Loki sneered.

Conjuring a dagger in his hand, he engaged Natasha in a quick skirmish.

It was clear that Natasha was no match for Loki, but fortunately for her, he seemed disinterested in a prolonged fight. After a brief exchange, he broke free and dashed toward the nearby apartment.

Natasha wanted to stop him, but Loki had already broken inside.

Just as she was about to give chase, she paused, something nagging at her mind.

Why did that apartment look so familiar?

Hesitant, she stepped back to take a better look at the door number.

Her eyes widened.

Wait a minute… Isn't this Luo Bai's place?!

For a moment, Natasha stood frozen.

Just then, a sleek black car pulled up nearby. The doors opened, and out stepped Nick Fury and Captain America.

As they approached, they were immediately greeted by the sight of Thor and Hulk, still going at each other, the scene a total mess.

Fury sighed and approached Natasha. "Romanoff, what's going on here?"

Natasha snapped out of her daze, finally noticing Nick Fury and Captain America. "When I arrived with Dr. Banner, I saw Thor and Loki. There was a bit of an incident, and now Hulk and Thor are fighting," she explained.

Fury scanned the area, then asked, "Where's Loki? I don't see him."

"He went inside," Natasha replied.

"Inside? Inside where?"

Natasha pointed at the apartment ahead. "He went into Luo Bai's house."

Fury froze for a moment, recognizing the familiar building.

Captain America, sensing the sudden tension between Natasha and Fury, asked, "Who's Luo Bai?"

Natasha responded, "A very powerful mage."

"A mage?" Captain America looked incredulous.

Natasha nodded seriously. "Yes."

"Can he handle Loki? Should we go in and help?" Captain America asked.

After a moment's thought, Natasha replied, "I doubt he'll need help. Right now, I can only feel sorry for Loki."

Inside Luo Bai's Apartment…

Luo Bai, Stark, and Polaris were lounging on the couch, casually chatting.

"There's a lot of noise outside. Shouldn't we check it out?" Stark asked, glancing at the door nervously.

"No need," Luo Bai said calmly. "They'll all come in eventually. The Tesseract is here, after all."

"But now the Hulk is out there too. You know how uncontrollable Hulk gets in a fight," Stark warned.

As soon as he finished, they heard a loud crash. The door was kicked open.

Loki stormed into the room, his face livid.

Polaris immediately stood up, glaring at Loki. Stark tensed as well.

Loki quickly scanned the room before shouting, "Where's the Supreme Mage?!"

Luo Bai, completely unfazed, calmly replied, "That would be me."

Loki turned to him, eyes blazing with fury. The rage and humiliation he had suffered—the theft of the Tesseract and the Mind Scepter, being struck by Thor's hammer, and then the 56 hits from Hulk—came flooding back all at once.

"You... you're the Supreme Mage? Good! GOOD!" Loki roared, summoning two knives. "How dare you defy the god of Asgard! I am a GOD!"

But before Loki could finish his tirade, Luo Bai opened a portal beneath him.

And just like that, Loki found himself falling endlessly through the void.

Loki: "I... What the...?!?"
