A wave of shock rippled through the secret facility as the shocking news broke out. Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, had just revealed the terrifying truth to everyone present.
"From a life form that predates the Big Bang itself, known as one of the Five Cosmic Entities—the Planet-Eater?" she said. "Soon, one of his four heralds, the Silver Surfer, will arrive on Earth, guiding them here?"
"The Earth will collapse, and the entire solar system will be annihilated?"
The words were so unbelievable that even those who had encountered supernatural forces found them hard to accept.
"Stop talking nonsense," someone interjected. "You're an unknown entity; you might even be a spy sent by the number one mutant."
Their doubt was quickly silenced by a beam of light from Carol's hand, ending the dissenter's life instantly.
"In these dire times, I won't tolerate any more nonsense."
No one expected this seemingly graceful blonde woman to resort to such swift and lethal action.
They had no way of verifying her identity. Instantly, the room filled with tension as everyone aimed their weapons at her.
"Hold on, stop!" Agent Coulson was the only one who could vouch for her. "She's the person Director Nick Fury has been looking for."
However, not everyone was convinced. A superhero known as 'Demolition Man,' part of the West Coast Avengers, stepped forward to challenge her, only to be swiftly defeated with his neck snapped in one clean motion.
The way she handled the situation left no doubt about her power and authority.
"It's all over," Carol declared firmly. "Your endless war must stop."
"But what about the mutants?" someone asked.
"No," Carol replied coldly. "What I've seen are mutants being persecuted. Just now, a single cloud of Terrigen Mist wiped out an entire city's mutant population, not to mention the Sentinels you've created."
"Strictly speaking, your descendants might all be mutants. There's a hidden X-gene in many of you."
Her words made it clear she intended to force a truce between the two sides.
"What about the number one mutant?" Director Hill was visibly upset. She found it hard to accept that all their efforts might be wasted.
"I've roughly figured out what's been happening," Carol responded. Through her extraterrestrial experiences, she had learned much about recent events.
Nick Fury likely didn't send out a signal to summon a genetically modified Kree warrior. Instead, it was all about the number one mutant.
"This whole situation was a tragedy manufactured by human hands," Carol said. "Why couldn't you hold a genuine, fair trial?"
"The result was the downfall of the Fantastic Four and the collapse of S.H.I.E.L.D."
"Compared to the crisis you've created, his crimes are minuscule. Do you even realize what's coming? In a month, maybe six months, everything will be gone—Earth, the solar system, everything."
Carol's tone was icy as she delivered this grim prophecy. Nearby, Valeria, who was now under control, just smiled without a hint of regret in her eyes.
This sight infuriated Carol even more. She swallowed her anger, barely restraining herself from killing the girl.
"The whole world should know what you've done," Carol said. "It's time for everyone to start preparing for Earth's impending destruction."
At the same time, on a smoke-filled battlefield, Su Chen was unaware of Captain Marvel's arrival or what it signified. Nor did he know that a brilliant young girl had given the coordinates of Earth's civilization to the Silver Surfer, inviting the wrath of the Planet-Eater.
Humanity, burdened with sin, was now waiting for their annihilation.
At that moment, Su Chen had just killed Black Bolt, the king of the Inhumans, slightly alleviating the hatred in his heart.
"Damn..."
It was unimaginable that Black Bolt, the Inhumans' king, would be killed by a punch to the head. The Inhumans hadn't even stepped out of their lunar paradise before meeting such a tragic end.
Frustration, anger, and fear filled the mind of Maximus, the Inhumans' advisor.
"Woof!" Lockjaw, the Inhumans' teleporting dog, also expressed his anger. Though he had once been human, the Terrigen Mist had turned him into a dog. However, as a royal family member with formidable telepathic abilities, he was not to be underestimated.
But even the usually brash Lockjaw didn't realize that he needed to flee immediately. When Su Chen turned his cold gaze on the remaining Inhumans, they only started to move.
"Woof!"
A pained bark escaped from Lockjaw as a powerful psychic force overwhelmed him. Though he had some resistance to such attacks, he still felt pain, preventing him from fully activating his teleportation ability.
Only his own form vanished, leaving Maximus to face the brunt of Su Chen's wrath.
In a flash, Su Chen's slender figure appeared before Maximus like a bolt of lightning. With a swift motion, Su Chen's right hand pierced through Maximus's body.
"Ugh..."
Maximus coughed up blood. As a psychic, he had no chance against someone immune to psychic attacks. Now, his heart was impaled by Su Chen's hand.
"You may have escaped for now, but I will visit Attilan on the moon soon enough."
And with that, another member of the Inhuman Royal Family met their end.
After dealing with the Inhumans, Su Chen's figure vanished into a ripple of energy.
...
When he returned to the past, specifically to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Triskelion headquarters, his first order was for his subordinates to stabilize the space bridge created by the Tesseract.
It was known that a physicist and astronomer, Dr. Erik Selvig, had the knowledge to achieve this. By using elements as stabilizers, the space-time fluctuations could be controlled.
Besides this, the White Queen Emma Frost brought him some significant news.
But at that moment, a worldwide announcement was made.
"A global broadcast."
"Valeria Richards and several S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel have been arrested for crimes against humanity and endangering the Earth."
Utopia's enemies suddenly crumbled, seemingly out of nowhere.
But what followed was global panic.
Because the end of the world was coming.
