IT MONDAY

"Wake up sleepy head ", it's time to for school dear she said with her shabby voice

"Oh!it morning already, mom I have to get ready, Olivia stood up from the bed, mom you know today is the day, like I mean the singing competition"

"But Olivia, you have to be in school today, have you forgotten?"

"Mom I thought we spoke about this already, we are about to be kicked out of our home and I can't go back to school knowing fully well that he might kick you out soon"

Olivia sits back on the bed with her both hands on her cheeks as she frowns her face.

"It ok baby girl, go ahead and do what you please, please just try to round up on time" while smiling she hugs her mom, "I love you so much mom, let me hurry. I won't disappoint you, mom".

Her mom walks into the kitchen while she prepares breakfast for Olivia.

"Mom, am ready to go" "My dear, have your breakfast before you leave it important ". "Mom I would rather not be late, time is almost against me"

"you didn't listen to me when I asked you to go to school and forget about the competition, so please just listen to me this time around"

"ok mom I will eat because of you, you're just emotionally blackmailing me with your calm sweet voice mom" while she sat down to have her breakfast.

"Oh! Really, am I ?"

"You know you are, you always have a way to always put me in this situation, especially with this particular voice you always use to ask me for a favor"

They both chuckled together, then Olivia continues with her breakfast, quickly wipes her mouth and take her leave.

"Mom bye" she waved her hands as she enters an Uber.

Olivia arrived late, and the doors were about to be closed.

She ran towards the door with speed

"hi sir, good morning, please don't close the door am one of the contestants, I need to get in"

"you're fifteen minutes late young lady, and you were fully aware we don't tolerate lateness, I can't help you know the boss gave us a strict order not to let anyone in",

"sir, please I am pleading, for the sake of God, let me in, sir" she knelt down while she pleads.

"You know you're a beautiful young girl, I will let you in, your beauty is outstanding, when you're done come see me, do you hear me?"

"Yes I did, thank you" she enters inside and met other contestants as well.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the show to begin, where these beautiful souls, showcase their talents.

We have five contestants here to perform in this very show called WE GHAT TALENT, five young girls by names are, Vivian, Anabella, Sophia, Evelyn, and Olivia.

"Around of applause for them and by the end of the show we would know who gets to go home with our cash prize".

The crowds' cheered them, some people were clapping, screaming, and blowing whistles.

"We call on the first contestant Vivian, she comes in as she was interviewed.

So tell us, Vivian, how old are you and where are you from?"

"I am 20 years old and am from New York City"

"Oh really, the mic is yours now, show us what you got"

She picks the mic up and performed, wonderfully .the same went for the second, third, and fourth.

Olivia is feeling nervous, yes, I know I can do this. All the contestants' voices are really charming. Can I do this, why am I even talking to myself, this is really odd"?

Now the last contestant, Olivia, come on the stage". She comes in and takes the mic, the audience claps and cheers her.

"You look quite nervous, Olivia," one of the judges asks.

Olivia smiles, "a little bit of, sir, but I will be fine."

Another female judge compliments her, "you're very stunning dear, such a beauty young girl"

Olivia feels strange but still smiling "Thank you ma, you look beautiful too"

"Really, thanks so how old are you and where are you from?"

"I am sixteen ma I am from the UK"

"Ok now the mic is yours show us what you got"

"Thanks"

Olivia is nervous at first but at some point picks up courage, her melodious voice kept everyone quiet for sometime at a point everyone stood up clapping.

Olivia took her mic off her mouth as she was done singing, looking at the crowd cheering her, it made her happy, the judges were astonished.

"A male judge asked her" why is your voice so soft and sweet?

Olivia smiles "sir that how my voice has also been it just natural"

The female judge asked her, at what age did you start singing because this talent of yours can shake the music industry like your voice is so good baby girl"

"Thanks Ma, I started singing at age four, I was a member of our church choir first, then in the school I attended I joined the music class".

"Girl I really don't want this to end here as for now you can leave the stage so we can finalize the results and call out, we would be going on a short break now.

Olivia sat down waiting with other contestants, she said a prayer in her mind. After a few minutes, a male judge walked up the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you back from this short break, hope you all enjoyed this wonderful voice, now we are about to call out the winners, we would be having three winners only which we go back with a cash prize or gift,

The third position, second and first position, the result is ready so everyone get ready for this amazing moment'

The third position goes to evenly, Evelyn walks out happily you could hear voices cheering up the winners,

The second goes to Vivian, she runs up the stage with tears in her eyes.

And now the first position goes to no apart from Olivia, Olivia jumps up while shouting yes ever congested everyone with their prizes.

So Evelyn, Vivian and Olivia, you girls do amazingly, and we would love you all to keep it up, Evelyn drop your Instagram handle, so as Vivian and u Olivia"

"Sir I don't have an Instagram account for now, Olivia said"

"The female judge replied her, it is very necessary you open one, if you had one now we would have help you promote your page, try to get one Olivia, and we would see you back next year in the next show."

There was a lot of celebration ,they took pictures with the contestants

"Ok, ma, I will".

Olivia in joy rush to go back home,"I have to sneak out without that man knowing ". She sneaks out quietly and went home after they awarded her with her money and an iPhone 14 pro max.

"Mom, I won she walked towards her mom and hugged her mummy, took the money mum paid for the house rent and hold the remaining and took care of other things you need mom"

"congratulations my baby girl, I watched your wonderful performance online, you were so amazing, I really appreciate God for giving me such a blessed child".

"Mom let go to the school already"

"No, my daughter it late tomorrow. We would try to go on time".they both gave each other a warm hug.
