15: The Plan

[Chapter 15: The Plan]

An army walked with proud footsteps. The sound of their feet hitting the ground reverberated across the vast prairie, like a herd of Elephants. It was a frightening sight, a coordinated army in this anarchy.

At the head of this battalion stood Loki and Osi just behind him. Suddenly, Loki raised his palm and the entire group behind stopped moving. "Halt," he commended, his voice being heard meters away.

In front of him, 100 meters away, were some small beings with green skin. In their hands were big hammer-like weapons, clearly showing how they preferred to use brute force. They had long teeth, and drool fell out of their mouth. Their eyes were screwed, as if showing anger.

"Submit to the revolution or die," proclaimed Loki, not as easygoing as to the previous tribe. He could see and feel it. There was an extremely low chance of those brutes surrendering.

A beastly growl escaped the mouth of the one at the head of the group—probably the chieftain. His eyes showed madness as he rushed toward Loki, his hammer raised in the air.

But before he could even pass the 10-meter mark between Loki and him, Osi rushed at him and easily beheaded him, with a single clear cut at the neck.

Loki nodded to him in thanks, before saying to his army, "Kill all the aggressive ones. If you find someone worthy enough, then don't kill them and make them kneel."

Following his order, the army rushed at the enemy, while the others did the same. Their madness was still there, the fact that the strongest out of them had been easily killed did not in any way make them fearful. After all, most of them did not fear death in battle, as they would then not be raped or tortured.

Shouts of determination were heard across the once-peaceful prairie. Dark blood belonging to Vorcillians flooded the earth. Heads rolled out as if wanting to score a goal. The sound of iron clashing created ear-piercing music.

In a matter of a few minutes, a massacre had occurred. Order and Chaos clashed. Death filled the air, while admiration only grew.

Loki united his hands together in a sort of saintly prayer, still playing his role of a good benevolent god. Behind him, a tsunami appeared, cleansing the battlefield. "Purify all that is unholy." He proclaimed his water not affecting his army.

In his army, a good part was from the tribe he had previously conquered, and their faith in the Asgardian gods only grew.

"Bring the survivors," commanded Loki, pointing his finger at the sky, making a sparkle echoing with a victorious sound.

Around ten people were on their knees before him. "Do you surrender?" asked Loki with a gentle voice, "I do not want to see any more bloodshed."

Osi had a hard time containing his laugh. Loki is a good actor, he thought, knowing well that Loki did not care about killing the rest of them.

They all nodded, bringing a smile to Loki's face. "Good, now I have a job for you."

—(Line Break)—

In a large tent, four people stood. It was Loki, Osi, and two of his advisers. In front of them was a table, and on it sat a map of this world. The map was marked in three colors, those three colors were on the Nord, West, and East.

In the Sud, there was a big red point. Pointing at it, Loki started speaking. "We are there. The so-called lawless zone. It is the only territory without an empire or kingdom, and thus the most chaotic one."

"What are your plans, your Highness?" asked one of the advisers, a tall man with a scar running down his cheek.

"We will create our own kingdom there. It will be religion-oriented with almost all the inhabitants being faithful followers of us. We will start by slowly subduing the surrounding tribes. We will then create roads all connecting to tribe A (the first conquered tribe)."

"The nearer one city is to city or tribe A, the richer it will be. It will be where all the most influential people reside, giving their orders in a pyramid system."

"We will need more rations to feed them all," said Osi, his arms crossed.

"Yes, I'll come back to this later on. After having the roads made, we will expand the tribes into cities. We will start to build stronger houses, more efficient forge, and walls protecting each city."

"We will need to train many Vorcillians if we want to do that quickly. Meaning that most of our men will work on that, and not on conquest or security." Commented the second adviser. "This is risky. If they see a moment of weakness, they may use that to create more chaos."

Loki nodded, "that is a risk, but I am willing to take it. Chaos may arise, but if we forge fear and admiration into their mind, then it will quickly dispel. Every wrongdoer will be brought to me or other mages. Their minds will be inspected to find and exterminate the problems and any possible rebellion."

"I will travel between the tribes to grow their faith in us. We will need to grow a good image in their minds, so all Men will be ordered to be respectful and helpful to them. Faith will be our principal advantage in this revolution."

Yes, because this was one of the orders Loki had gotten from Odin. He needed to help the Vorcillians and their civilization. He couldn't just kill half of their population and bring the rest into submission through brute force. He had to make it so that when he leaves, the world would stay in order and not fall into chaos once again.

This was probably a training that Odin had made for Loki to become a good king, or so thought Loki.

"When most of the territory has been conquered, we will then send spies to grow our religion in the three kingdoms. We will have to protect them so that the religion does not disappear. When finally half of the population has become a believer, we will then attack the kings/queens and emperors."

"As Osi mentioned, we will need to grow tons of food to feed them all. Fortunately, Ladon (the recently hatched Jormungandr), has found rich territories filled with non-poisonous food and animals."

"Now, let the conquest begin."
