Vol 2 ch 8

Superman was holding the leg with one hand. The kick had caused a breeze to blow out.

"Banner, give up. I don't wish to fight you." Superman had said letting go of the Hulk's leg.

Superman had been contacted by Director Fury regarding this incident. He had been given the entire case file on Bruce Banner. Someone who had been exposed to gamma radiation and become a parody of Jerkyll and Hyde. Bruce had chosen to run away and hide to protect the people he loved. For the moment, Superman decided that he would bring him in and try to help him. He did not trust the government to not try something underhanded. He could somewhat trust Fury but even he had to answer to other people. And so the Hulk approached him and the battle began.

The hulk roared and punched at him. Superman did not move an inch of a muscle. The punches did not even phase him. Hulk began to launch a barrage of punches at him and seeing that superman was not effected got even angrier. Getting stronger, superman was slowly being pushed backwards. Hulk's strike started to have some effects as superman started to grunt from some pain. Finally, one punch hit him in the face and Superman stumbled back.

This time superman took the initiative and punched Hulk. Hulk was thrown back, his impact with the ground had caused a crater. And so they both had begun to battle in earnest. A battle purely of brawns. Hulk getting stronger and stronger, and Superman slowly being pushed back. Hulk punched Superman and this time Superman was thrown back. Superman stopped himself in the air. Floating while he looked down. "Bruce, this does not need to end this way."

A primal roar was heard from Hulk.

"Hulk Smash". Hulk yelled as he jumped up as he attempted to hit Superman. His jump left cracks on the ground extending.

Superman dodged Hulk's attempt to grapple him midair, instead he grabbed Hulk and drove him into the ground. Holding both of his hands behind his back, Superman attempted to subdue the Hulk.

Loki was feeling apprehensive at the moment. There were various restrictions that he had posed upon himself when he wore the mask of Tobi. He could go against both Hulk and Superman separately if he enhanced himself with chakra in raw strength. But raw strength was not all he had. A ninja uses deception and Loki himself personally preferred deception. He could use lightning release armor used by the Raikage during the fourth ninja war to enhance his speed, strength and offensive capabilities. This same armor was used to take on the 8 tail beat by the third Raikage. There was also the Hell stab used by A the third Raikage. Combine it with Susanoo and he would be able to face both Superman and Hulk. The strongest shield and the strongest defense acting as one. Loki was already making plans in his head to combat both Hulk and Superman should it be prove necessary. A plan B, if you will.

While all this was happening, Loki had emerged from the ground behind Betty Ross and Blonsky. He karate chopped behind the heads of the soldiers holding Betty Ross and dragged her into the ground. From there he used Kamui to go into his own Kamui Dimension pulling Betty with her.

Betty Ross pepper sprayed Loki as he was standing in front of her. Loki was not effected and simply too the pepper spray from her hand. He sprayed it onto his popcorn and began eating them.

"Zetsy and Spicy" Loki commented. "So any way to calm your boyfriend down."

Looking at her incredulous look.

"What I saw the eyes you were making at him and just made a guess. Wonder how it fits". At the last part, Loki giggled a little bit.

Ignoring the last part, Betty answered him, "I can calm him down. If I can just get near him."

"Beauty and the Beast, so it was the Beauty who calmed the beast and returned the beast to the man it once was." Loki began to quote nonsensically nodding to himself.

Using transformation Jutsu, Loki turned into Betty Ross with a puff of smoke.

"Well, I will bring your lover right back." Loki told her as he was sucked into a black hole once more. "Don't go anywhere."

Hulk was feeling so much rage right now. Never before had he felt so much rage then he did right now. Whenever, he came out. He had always been attacked. With the brain of an innocent child, it had decided to destroy anything that attacked it.

Right now it was being held into the ground by Superman. Both of its arms pinned behind its back. With a roar of defiance, Hulk had broken loose. Grabbed Superman by the head, and proceeded to punch Superman a few times. Each punch had caused a strong wind to blow in the surrounding. Superman had blocked one punch and broken free. Touching his lip, he realized that he bled a little. Hulk rushed and Superman flew at each other. Both of them punched and their punches intercepted. A small shockwave was caused as they both were trying to push each tother backwards.

"Earth Release, Swamp of the Underworld." The ground beneath them turned into a swamp and they both started to sink into it. Superman tried to struggle out of it but he could not. It felt as if the swamp was sticking to him and pulling him in.

"It's alright. I am here." A female voice said. Betty was holding Hulk's face in her hands. The Hulk seeing Betty started to calm down. Hulk was in the end a part of Bruce. Sure, Bruce may pretend that Hulk did not exist and lock him away in the depts of his own psyche. But Hulk was as much Bruce as Bruce was Hulk. They both were the same. And they both loved Betty. The Hulk began to grow calmer and smaller.

Superman felt that there was some thing wrong with the scene. Looking down, he saw that the women was walking on the swamp. Superman began to struggle much more, slowly rising from the swamp. Superman was weak to both supernatural forces and kryptonite. Supernatural Forces could injure him.

As the Hulk transformed into Banner. There was a plume of smoke and the masked man was before them again. "Peak a Boo". He said as he knocked out Bruce Banner with a single punch.

As he held, Banner over his shoulder. Superman got out of the swamp.

"Hey Superman, I found another of those green rocks. Here, have it." He threw it at Superman.

A piece of Kryptonite. He held it in his hand but he felt no effects. He looked at Tobi and saw that he had disappeared. There was a plume of smoke in his hand and the Kryptonite in his hand had been transformed into a notebook.

Looking around with his x-ray vision. He did not find any sign of Tobi. Curiously, he looked at the notebook.

There was a picture of Tobi having two peace signs up. Below it in a speech bubble was written, 'You just got pawned.'.

Turning the page, he saw a bunch of coupons. With instruction.

Tobi, mercenary for hire. Burn page to hire my services. Satisfaction and lots of laughs guarantied.

In brackets was written (Can also perform in Birthday parties.)

Superman flew away, he would give this to Director Fury. He would know what to do with this.

Emil Blonsky had watched the entire fight between the Hulk and Superman. Emil had started to desire the same power that Hulk had for himself. A power capable of fighting against Superman. Hulk may be the gateway into such an ability. It seemed achievable to him instead of the abilities of the masked man. As the Hulk's strength was grounded in the reality of science.

At the beginning, he had thought that Hulk would be captured easily now. But all this had proven to be false as with each beatdown Hulk had suffered. Each failure, the Hulk had grown stronger at a visible rate infront of them. It had gone from being under Superman's heel to matching him blow to blow. The effects of their last clash was an evidence of that. The ground itself had cracked, a shockwave had been created. Emil had begun to desire it for himself.

General Ross had looked at Hulk and felt even more shame. It was because of him that such a moster was created and it was proven to him that this monster may even be capable of going against the like of superman. Such a possibility had made him shiver.

Ross had looked at Emil. His actions in the beginning had proven to him that they may have another Captain America at their hands. He had managed to engage the Hulk and survive its onslaught long enough to prove that. General Ross had decided, returning he would recommend the application of the last dosage of the super soldier serum. There had been no other visible negative side effect till now.
