[Hey! Alex, can you hear me?]

Alex could finally hear the familiar voice of zero in his head, he now knew that he was back in the same forest he had woken up b earlier, and it seemed like not much time had passed since he entered into the beast realm.

[Hey, say something]

Zero's voice echoed inside his head again.

"Ahh, yeah, I can hear you loud and clear" was Alex's response to the worried system.

[What happened to you, why did you look like you suddenly got trapped in some sort of illusion? you weren't even reacting to my words] zero asked the still half-dazed Alex.

"How long has it been since I spaced out?" Alex didn't answer zero's question, he was keener to Know the time difference between the beast realm and the real world.

He had spent what to him seemed to be several hours in the beast realm, but outside there was still dark, Alex couldn't possibly think that he had spent an entire day standing here right? wouldn't that mean that he basically slept in this forest last night and it was now dark again?

[Approximately two minutes twenty-seven seconds] zero answered in a heartbeat.

Alex took a deep breath in relief, he was amazed by the huge difference in time between the two spaces he had just experienced, so, several hours in the beast realm only amount to such little time here.

Zero couldn't take Alex's silence anymore and decided to persuade him to answer her questions.

[Just what happened after you cast the spe...]

Before zero could even finish her words, a white portal suddenly appeared a few meters from Alex's position.

Zero knew that the portal was the outcome of Alex's spell, but she was curious about what type of beast would require such a huge portal to pass through, the portal was so wide that Alex believed a small house could easily pass through it without encountering any obstacles.

She was about to ask what the hell happened while Alex was spaced out but her words were drawn into the loud screeching sound that came from within the portal.

Moments later a red eagle, a giant red eagle flew out of the portal, it shot into the sky, and it hovered in the air for some time before landing gracefully before Alex.

Zero was shocked by the eagle's appearance. The eagle was so big, almost the same height as the big trees in the forest, with red eyes that gleamed in the darkness, a gold-colored beak, red feathers, and goldish claws that gave an icy glow at the sight of it.

The eagle flapped its wings, spread them wide open, and let out an ear-piercing screech, declaring its presence in the forest, the entire forest immediately became dead silent, not even the sound of crickets could be heard anymore.

[T-t-this i-is...] zero was completely lost for words, were her eyes playing tricks on her?

"What's wrong? why are you suddenly stuttering?" Alex could already guess from zero's reaction that his always-up-to-no-good system was completely ignorant of his experience in the beast realm.

[How the hell did you do that!! How did you summon a red royal eagle? they are the strongest beast in the beast realm, well... that's if the guardian isn't taken into account, but just how did you do it?]

"I don't know either, I just followed what you said and thought about the spell, then I found myself in a strange place with so many beasts, after which I chose this beast because of its Aura, the rest seemed to respect it"Alex presented his fake story, well not fake though, just that the story had been modified, greatly modified as a matter of fact.

Zero could feel that there was more to what Alex had just narrated but since the guy wasn't interested in telling her, she suddenly lost interest in knowing more.

[Fufufufu, you sure have poor storytelling skills] 

Zero said heartily [I might find out about it later] zero added after a short laugh.

"I would be able to talk to you through my thoughts right?" Alex asked, he was already beside the giant eagle, rubbing the feathers on its wings.

[ Sure you can, so you don't look stupid talking to yourself in public, fufufufu]

Alex could only sigh, this system was at again.

"Since we are done here, let's be on our way " Alex climbed onto the eagle's back.

Immediately after Alex landed on the eagle's back, his summoning elemental moon started to shake vigorously, it was as if the moon was threatening to jump out of his soul Galaxy at any moment from now if Alex didn't grant its wish.

A soul Galaxy is where a mage's elemental moon all resides, it was just like a spirit core to cultivation practitioners.

The more elements a mage has, the bigger their soul Galaxy gets, since Alex already has six elements, his soul Galaxy was already the size of a football field.

With each element having seven elemental moons each, which were further divided into fourteen halves.

It won't be an exaggeration to call Alex's soul Galaxy a city of the moon, since he already has eighty-four pieces, fourteen for each of his six elements.

Another surprising fact was that each of the elements maintained their own space, although they were constantly spinning for who knows why, they never breached into the space of another element, separating themselves neatly so that it wasn't an issue to locate each element quickly because of their orderliness.

Right now, in the space where Alex's summoning elemental moons reside, the first two pieces out of the fourteen were throwing tantrums.

"Should we sign a contract? I can feel that my summoning moon would soon cause trouble for me" Alex remembered the turtle tiger guardian talking about a contract or something of such, he didn't quite remember.

The eagle released a soft cry as if responding to Alex but Alex was unable to understand it.

[The big bird agreed to it] zero acted as a translator for Alex.

"So how do I do it?" Alex was as clueless as a newborn about this issue.

[Just place your hand on its head and relax] zero instructed calmly.

Alex did as he was told, he placed his hand on the head of the eagle and took a deep breath, suddenly, his summoning elemental moons which were white started emitting a white glow, the glow was so bright that it almost covered Alex's soul Galaxy with its brilliance.

Alex could feel some kind of energy slowly transmitting from the moon using his hand as a medium and pouring into the eagle through the place Alex's hand was covering.

Slowly, but surely, a bright half Moon tattoo slowly took shape in the space in between the eagle's eyes and Alex could now feel that his connection with the eagle had been formed and the feeling was so strong.

With thought and told the eagle to soar.

SWOOSH!!

The eagle flew into the sky with such an amazing speed.

<That was fast>

Alex thought to himself, that he had almost lost his balance and would have fallen off the eagle's back, if not for his experience with flying swords.

"Do you have a name?" Alex asked the eagle as it kept flying, the eagle shook its head.

Alex had already anticipated that response so he wasn't too surprised about it, after all, who would name a beast when everyone there was a beast?

"I will call you ikeris," Alex said while patting the eagle's back gently.

"Now,ikeris let's search for where the school had set camp"

The eagle flapped its wings, accelerating its speed; within a few minutes, they were already above what seemed to be an abandoned Outpost.

Scattered boxes everywhere, broken tents, pieces of wood, and food packets, while there was only one tent that was still left standing.
