Shattered Glass audition

Noah is present today at the building of Cruise-Wanger productions to audition for the role of Stephan Glass in movie "Shattered Glass".

"Noah you look a little pale. What have you been doing in the past days?" Mike asked worriedly. He was frightened when he picked up Noah today for the audition. Noah looks haggard. In past five days, whenever he talked to him, the answer he got was that he was studying the script and was okay.

"I am okay, so don't worry." he just replied this and didn't bother with Mike much. He hasn't talked much in the past few days.

He has been preparing for the role for the last 5 days and he hasn't done anything else except for practicing the role. The whole time he was in his rooms just focusing on the emotional expressions and psychology of Stephan Glass in the movie. The way he lies and the behavior he shows, all has been studied repeatedly by him.

A person came to them. "Are you Noah Martin?"

"Yes its me."

"You can go inside."

Noah stood and moved toward the audition office.

Inside the office, a quarrel was going on.

"Craig, didn't you say that the role of Stephan Glass will be played by my brother Hyden." Tove Christensen looked at the other producer of the movie Craig Burmgarten angrily, he continued: "And now you tell me that this role is going to be given to a kid who is not even sixteenth yet."

"I didn't promise you anything, I just said that I will try." Craig answer him back, "And the role is not given yet, we are just auditioning him."

"Do I look like a fool to you. Are you telling me this is an audition. You are providing the role to the boy in plate."

"There's nothing I can do about it. The main casting power belongs to the company. I was told to audition Noah Martin and if he performs well, then this role belongs to him." Producer Craig just shrugged. He is also a little upset by this order of production company, but he's just a new producer with not much works, so there's no way he would go against a superstar like Tom Cruise for such a thing.

Seeing that Craig wasn't paying attention to him, Tove anger surged again. He mocked with a scarism, "So you are telling me that old woman Paula likes this underage boy. Isn't it an amazing scandal."

"Shup your mouth Tove. You seem to have forgot where you are."

Hearing the words, Tove stopped and realized that he had crossed his limits.

Noah entered the audition centre and didn't realize that there was a big quarrel happening before he entered. He greeted everyone:

"Hello, I am Noah Martin and I am auditioning for the role of Stephan Glass."

"Then you can perform this part." Director and writer of two movie, Billy ray answered with a smile.

Noah took the page and it was the part where Stephan was fired by Lane and had a breakdown. Noah read the lines and then placed the paper on the side. He performed the script as he had practiced it countless times before.

"This is it." he said after finishing his performance.

"OK you can go now. We will tell the results to your agent soon."

Noah nodded and left the office.

"His performance was good. His state was telling that he has been practicing it a lot." said Director Billy Ray, complimenting Noah's performance. He asked:

"What does producer Craig think?"

"He performed way much better than I thought." he also agrees with Director Billy's words.

"But his age is still low. No will think of him as a 22 years old." argued Tove Christensen.

"But the age can be adjusted with makeup."

"I also agree with the words of Director Ray." a voice came, and someone entered the office.

Tom stood on the other back door and saw the whole performance of Noah. In fact, the invitation for audition was sent by him, not Paula.

In the beginning, he just sent it without thinking much and he himself didn't expect much. Who knew that Noah Martin gave him such a big surprise even in terms of acting in mature characters. After all, there is a clear difference in the acting of a child actor and an adult actor. Even the criteria of judgment of adult actors is way more stricter. But he was surprised by today's audition.

The others in the office saw that it was Tom Cruise who entered the office. So they stood up to greet him. Tom nodded and continued:

"If you ask me, then I am satisfied with the audition." He didn't spoke any further but his previous words implied all. He's just giving everyone face as the director and producer.

"I also agree with this. I think Noah Martin performed good."

"I also think casting Noah Martin is a good decision."

Soon, everyone agreed and the role was finalized.
